August trip...should we go to Universal or Island of Adventures on Saturday...???

We are going to Universal Studios in August and we know it will be crowded. We are staying at Portofino, so I know we get FOTL.
We have never been to Universal before but I would have avoided Disney parks on a Saturday.

So what do you think? Should we avoid Saturday and go Sunday, Monday, Tuesday? Thanks for your advice!
