We have reservations for August for 2 weeks for our 30th Anniversary. We also got a 20% discount. We're now trying to decide if we should stay with our August plans, or go in October with no discount, but cooler weather. What's a person to do?????:mickeyjum:mickeyjum

Ocotber will be a tad cooler, but I'm not sure if it's worth the discount loss. FL weather is unpredictable; it could be just as hot, with slightly less humidity. There's usually a group from the Dis that go the end of October so if you went then, you would have the opportunity to meet up with some of them. That would FUN!

Well, it's obvious to me,,
ya'll will just havta fill your obligations to both ressies :thumbsup2::thumbsup2

(dang I'm good ! :lmao:)

If the gas didn't cost much I would go both times. We did that one year when gas was. Three times as The Fort was great.:mickeyjum

One thing about October, it is a lot cooler and depending when you go it is a lot less crowded. We are going the middle of October for the Food and Wine and EPCOT. We have been to EPCOT many times in October and the place was practically empty.

have you ever been in August before? We went 2 years ago and it was HOT, I really underestimated all the warnings - I had planed mid day breaks every day and we needed them.

When our youngest daughter was a year round competitive swimmer we always went in August. It was her only time off. The past 2 years we have gone is December, once was over Christmas. That was fantastic, but this year my husband will most likely be having knee surgery in December. I have to get my Fort fix in prior to that. The discounts came up for August and I thought, what the hecht. Now I'm thinking maybe I should forget the discounts, 20%, and go in October since we have never been in October. Next year, it's definitely back to Christmas:hmghost::hmghost:

Last year we went the last week of August & left the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. We were dreading the hot weather, but they had a cool front come through. The first part of the week it was only in the mid 80's and it got up to 90 the day before we left, so you never know. It was way warmer at home that week.

The other thing that was weird was that there was hardly anyone at the campround. We were in the 900 loop on that trip (wanted to try the Premium sites out), and we were one of three people on the loop until later that week. There was no one in the 1000 loop at first, no one in the 200 loop, and only 4 in the 100 loop. 600 seemed to be pretty full, but I did not like the new expansion of it where there were no trees.
