August hours,more than last year?

These just came out Wednesday, I was wondering if any of you know if they are longer/later than last year. I figured this could give an indication of whether the FTP is affecting usual attendance levels.

We are going in late Sept/early Oct and are still hoping for short lines at the parks (relatively speaking).

Anyone remember the hours last year? Especially late in the month of August because that is when the Value season starts again.

First of all, welcome to the Dis! We were there last Aug. 17 - 25. I do not remember the exact hours but I do remember MK closing fairly early, say 7ish. There was an E-Night. MGM amd Epcot were open until 8 and 9. MK was upsetting because when it is so hot is it nice to swim in the afternoon and go back to the parks in the evening when it is cooler. I wonder too how much effect the FTP has had. Are more people going or are the ones going just getting a better deal?

Thanks for the info! It sounds like the MK is open later than it was when you were there last year (the last days of August have 9pm &10pm closing times). But not much of a change for the other parks.

Anyone else have any insight on the hours they're seeing, in relation to FTP?

Last year the last week of August Monday-Thursday MK was open 9am-6pm and Fri. 9am till 8:30pm. This year Mon is 9am-8:30pm, Tues 9am-7pm, Wed. 9am-8:30pm Thurs and Fri 9am-7pm. The Saturday of Labor day weekend was open till 9:30pm this year it is open until 10:00pm.

We were there the last week in August last year and are going again this year.
That week last year, MK
Mon 9-7
Tues, Wed, Thur 9-6
Fri 9-8:30 w/ FITS 8:30
Sat 9-9 w/FITS 9:15

I was counting on the same for Friday this year and the shorter hours without FITS is really messing me up. However they do have it a couple times during the week. Go figure?
