Greetings from Victoria, BC Canada!!!
We are on Day 3 here. Beautiful place!!
On Day 1 (Wed), we did the Children's Farm at Beacon Hill Park (my 14yo said "Mom, I think I just died of cuteness!") with the baby goats, piglets, bunnies, etc. They want to go back again before we leave here!
Yesterday Day 2, we went to the Butterfly Garden (very cool) and then to Butchart Gardens. Oh my - so gorgeous!!! In the evening, we walked the Inner Harbour with all the vendors and street performers. I did a little shopping, but all the souvenir stores have essentially the same merchandise (on Government Street). Need to get off the beaten track I guess.
Today we are going to the Royal BC Museum and Chinatown.
We are staying at the Marriott. Very nice - 2 blocks from the Harbour.
Weather has been cloudless blue skies ~72 in Victoria. At Butchart Gardens it was HOT! Glad we wore tank tops & shorts! We did bring jackets and needed them on the bus! So cold you could hang meat. We also needed the jackets when we stepped off the bus back in Victoria about 5:15pm! Chilly compared to Butchart. The wind was coming off the water.
We went back to the hotel, had something to eat and then decided to go to the Inner Harbour. Well we walked out of the hotel about 8:00pm. Had to go back to the room for more layers. We ended up with fleece and a windbreaker to stay warm. That just gives you an idea of the weather.
Tomorrow we leave Victoria and head to Vancouver until the cruise. I will try to report back again.
Safe travels to everyone!
