It is bad enough to know we leave Sat..

DS#1 is excited about drinking in Canada..( since drinking age is 19) he can legally order a drink or 2 or..

Anyway, i am wrong on the flip flops.. told DS#1 that weather in Juneau was 50s and rain and he said.. perfect flip flop weather..

me I am always cold, so I have gloves, ear warmers, rain jacket and pants..

DD is only packing flip flops and Ugg boots. But in her defense...one pair of flip flops are Uggs and have the sheepskin footbed.

I can honestly say that I hate packing for vacations now. DD and DH have driven me totally crazy today and you would think it's their first vacation they had to pack for. I was going to start to pack for myself today but was totally frustrated with them that I didn't do it for myself.

I promise I'll set them straight!
My DH keeps piling stuff on the bed looking for things. Every time I come in the room, he has put more stuff on it.

DCL called - no DOTDs on the Aug 9th Alaska cruise. Dangit. Darnnit. Sorry guys - I won't be able to buy all y'all that round of DOTDs.

We can remedy that fact..... YOu can make it a round of hot chocolate on Tracy Arm day and just have a flask of something to pour into each of our cups.

I have one last hooded sweatshirt and I can't fit it in my suitcase. DH says to wear it but it's 80-85 degrees here in the mornings.

BTW, since a John Denver song is the inspiration for the name of our thread, John Denver singing about Alaska was what first planted the idea of visiting Alaska in my mind when I was a little girl. I have dreamed of this since I was about 10 years old...I can't believe it's almost here!!! Two of his songs about Alaska that I most love are "To the Wild Country" and "Wrangell Mountain Song".
