Personally I think this should wait until the latter part of next year since some of us have other cruises/vacations to get thru before this one. Not to mention all the b'days/holidays and other celebrations that will happen in the next 22 months.

we're joining all of you!! woo hoo!! it'll be 4 of us...DH, myself, and 2 DS (12 & 9 at time of sailing!) we have not been on dcl for 4 years or so...so it's like starting over!! we are so excited to be able to go!!

starwood...do you remember me? i think we sailed together once before...

anyways...can't wait to get to know all of you!!

I agree with this. I would think maybe we wouldn't have to really start it until January 2011. That would still give us 8 months. As we've seen on our Baltic cruise for next summer, we are starting to have people cancel. I'd think by the beginning of 2011, people would be pretty sure if they are coming.

I was just wondering...

If you have a cellphone plan with no roaming in the US - we should be able use our cellphones in Alaska.

And for anyone who uses the seasick patch - they are not prescription in Canada.

Will we have our iPhones by then??? I'm just sayin'

Don't worry! If I wouldn't be so stressed about planning my wedding, I probably would have thought about the same thing.

I love the FE idea so I'm happy to see that others are interested in participating too!

No need to hide, you are just being proactive and willing to take on a project just like Ed gets to post the weekly countdown. If you mention it you are volunteering yourself and we will all hold you to it. So with that said, I will put a little note by your name in the first post that you will be the FE list organizer and Ed will get a note to be the weekly countdowner if that is even a word.

I've not booked our Alaska cruise yet. We have been trying to decide between DCL and a one way with Princess.

The FE is one of the highlights to us (that and decorating the door) that makes Disney special to our DDs. I actually came over here to peak at the Alaska meet & greet groups for the time frames we were considering to see if anyone had mentioned it as being a possibility. I like that ya'll are already working on designs for shirts and/or magnets.

I wasn't going to post since I'm not booked yet so not really part of anything (hope you will all forgive me for butting in), but seeing you felt bad for asking, I thought I should say your asking helped me want DCL more.

I came over here initially to see what the meet & greets looked like on this cruise and the 8/2nd one - as those are the two I was looking at. But there isn't one for 8/2nd yet. DH suggested we hold off booking until after we get back from our WDW vacation - and see what shape we left our bank account. Hopefully DCL prices won't go up too much between now and then.

FE is Fish Extender and a FE list is the list of shipmates who will have something attached to the fish next to the door and will exchange little gifts in.

Our FE has our last name and pirate stuff on it. Our has four pockets I think.
We had a lot of loot from the PodCast cruise and even more on the EBPC Repo
