August 9, 2011 (8/9/2011) Taking the Wonder to see the AMERICAN CHILD

United flies into Seattle and you can take a train or bur to Vancouver. Or course if you fly here a day or two early, we can show you a few places.

I have been thinking about that.. that you live in Seattle but it will depend on the kids schedule for work.. My fantasy is to leave on Saturday, spend a few days in Seattle, and then leave for Vancouver on Monday.. but no plans just thoughts for now..

Still looking for a job so that is taking priority over vacation planning..:confused3

Hope you job hunting comes to a successful conclusion soon. Things are really hectic here, with family travel and visits from friends/family from up North it's going to be a busy rest of the year. It's great to see some of our 08 EB Repo friends on this tread too. It's nice to see familiar faces when you walk around the ship.

We are just beginning our plans but it looks like we are going to do what you are thinking about. We are planning to fly into Seattle on Saturday and then take the train to Vancouver on Monday. The kids -- if you can call 34 and 36 kids -- already have a list of what they want to see. We haven't gotten down to making any real arrangements because living in 3 states (FL, PA, CT) we are limited to phone and email right now. Since we haven't told the little ones -- 5 and 7-- about the trip yet we have to censor our comments when they are around. We have reservations to have dinner at LeCellier at Epcot on August 9th this year and are planning a big reveal. It's even harder since the 7 year old can read now and her mother has to keep grabbing any DCL mailings quick before she figures it out. Once the news is out there we can really get down to planning. Can't wait.

Hope you all are enjoying your Mother's Day

USAir flies to Vancouver thru Phoenix...I am sure they fly from Philly there

Since I posted my question I've found this out, thanks. The times are too bad either which is good for us.
Now to figure out if we use miles when dates open up in Sept. or to use the $99 fare offer that comes with our credit card but is not mailed out until May. Oh well....we'll figure it out at some point.

Hey folks still a long time to Alaska, but here is a tough Disney trivia:

Without looking it up...

Who is Donald Duck's inventor friend?

DW and DS can NOT answer!!:lmao:
