ME 36 mother of wonderful daughter
Jenny 9 year old DD
We left on greyhound Saturday night at 11:45 for a greyhound bus ride
that would last till Monday morning at 5:10 am. The bus ride wasn't really all that bad.
We took snacks, lunchmeat and only bought a couple bottles of water
and ivce for the cooler.
MOnday the 6th
Arrived at 5;10 in the morning, Tiffany was at the bus station to meet us.
Stoped at Goodings Soda was $3 something a twelve pack, got a case of bottled
water, and Jenny found an autograph book for $2.99 she really like, and a matching pen
for $2.99. She had the Disney world one the year before so she wanted something different.
Checked in to the All Stars Music by 6, got room immedaiately. Thank God because we were so tired from the bus ride. and needed a shower. Showered and naped till about 1.
Went to epcot, rode space chip earth, emailed daddy at home and ate chicken strips at Electric
Umbrella. Rode the monorail to TTC and ferry boat to MK. Road a few rides till time for dinner
at chef mickeys. Walked through the contempary and had a wonderful dinner. Really fun I would give chef mickey's a A. (i will do detailed restaurants reports later)
Back to MK for second showing of the parade. Not busy at all got an excellent view.
Second showing is the thing to do (never will I park my butt for the first parade again.)
Back to room for much needed sleep.
Tuesday
Up early. Spent part of day at MK till about 1 then jumped to about 3 MGM for dinner at 50's prime time. It started to rain and we dicided we were just too tired to enjoy a big dinner, so we cancelled dinner and made ps's for the next night. Ate lunch at Peco Bills' YUMMY chicken wrap then back to food court for dinner Yuck not at good as sports food court Found lots of characters at MK, done fantasyland, and toon town and part of tomrrow land. at MGM Done muffets, Honey I shrunk the kids playground and the movie ride. the hunchback man was in front of MGM at 3 when we arrived. Started raining so left and ate at food court and took a late night swim.
Wednesday Animal kingdom day, but woke up late and missed the PS"s for breakfast at Rainforest, so we just walked in about 10:45 and was sitted immedaitely. Surprised me. anyways had an excellnet lunch of catfish and fries and coleslaw. At Ak we went back to asia and walked the trails most the animals was resting but did see the bats and the tigers sleeping and a few others. Went to the conservation station and had a blast with the animals there and a talking trashcan.
Safiri ride was next then lion king and Pocantas show. Jenny got picked to start the show so she was really excited. Left after closing and straight to MGM for dinner at the %0's prime time. Was not impressed with anything at this restaurant from the fried chicken, salad (looked like a bunch of tree leaves in my salad) or smores. We only took one bite of the smores so the watress offered to take that off the ticket. She was a dude, but the next room was having a blast with their waiter. Probably will not do again. Then we made ot out the front gates and realized this was the night for the second showing of fantasmic and trotted our tired butts back in. Excellent seat with no wait. Great show. Front or back seat sure makes a big difference with this show. back to room after midnight
Thursday
EE at MK Was there 10 minutes after opening and happened to think to ask for cinderalla's breakfast instead of waiting till Saturday's PS. We got in again Immediately. GREAT Food (best breafast we had), great character interaction. The princesses was excellent can't say enough good about this place.
Anyways, after breakfast we trotted with full tummy's out to fantasy land and rode a few rides , caught beele's storytime. and was leaving the park by noon. Happened to think to check the camera shop again. (endied up everytime we entered or exited MK that was a normal stop) We found all four of the princesses that we just had breakfast with, plus donald duck and a duck from duck tales. Not many kids in there. Got a picture of jenny with all four of the princess (cinderalla snow white, jasmine and Belle) and jenny in one picture. (I hope that picture comes out) Then all 6 of these characters plays hokey p[okey with the children in there which couldn't of been more than 10 of them.
This expereince would never never be replacable with anything jenny was in heaven.
So after all the excitement we went back to the room for a break
Went to FW to catch the hayride, campfire and a dis meet to watch the water parade. But guess what it starts raining the hayride got cancelled, not sure about the campfire because we gave up and went back to MK. and rode a few rides with little or no wait.
Friday
We decided to do more at MGM planned on about a half day but didn't leave there till 7 pm finished up all the shows and rides (besides the ones with theback warnings) Ate lunch at ABC commisionary jenny had the chicken strips, and I had the chicken on sticks (forgot the name of it ) with the rice and some kind of slaw. The food wasn't bad but propbably would have enjoyed a hamburger or the fish more.
Left the park at 7 after we finished and just in time. As we walked to the bus it had been lighting but no rain and it started to sprinkle. By the time the bus left it was pouring and hailing. Had a bad storm with real low lighting. Rumored was it hit a couple rides at BB. but not sure.
had dinner at the food court hamburger and pizza this time but no better than a few days ago. yuck.
Early to bed because of the storm.
Saturday.
planned on EE MK but didn't get up early enough so we decided to go to BB instead. Figured it couldn't be no worse on saturady due to closing all week due to capacity. Planned on a half day but after 5pm I had to drag jenny out of there. didn't think she would really like the water park because she isn't a very strong swimmer, but she liked the preteen area, wave pool and the lazy river. they had plenty to do that didn't go into deep water. Ran to the room cleaned up and left for the pooly for dinner. stopped at MK to see who was in the camera shop and donald, Gov ratcliff and the preist from robin hood was there. Donald madejenny chase him for her autograph book and kept doing funny things to her while i was trying to get pictures. then gov ratcliff kept following trying to scare her and he did. finally got his picture but jenny wasn't too sure about him
jumped on the monorail and got to ride in the front, (cool expereince) to get to ohana's for dinner. Dinner was just okay, liked some of the food, but most the meat wasn't cooked enough for us. We like meat well done. but the shrimp was excellent.
Back to the resort to the dis meet. meet some really nice people. had a nice chat and tuffcookie mentioned names in her report so I won't because I know I will leave someone out. BUt had really a nice time and was nice to meet everyone. back to room bed after midnight again
Sunday
Moving day so packed everything up and left with lugguge people whoever they are. Checked out and went to AK. had lunch at rainforest agin just by walking up was seated immediately. had a great hamburger and jenny had pizza. There meals are huge. only ate about half of mine. No dessert too full. Finished up ak mainly TTBB show, the boneyard and whatever else we done. sorry but don;'t remember excactly. left the park by 3 to meet tiffany at 5 to take us to the courtyard of marriot for the $20.01 rate. (Now i would never move in the middle of a vacation unless it really is saving me alot of money) It was just a hassle I thought. anyways the courtyard of marriot was a nice hotel not a disney resort. Would not hestate to stay there again for a good rate. (but would have to be good not to stay at disney) Room was ready when we arrived got lugguge upstairs and decided to try their transportation and went to DD so jenny could spend her big chunk of nmoney she had for the day. The transportation was fine no problems at all the rest of the trip.
Anywas shopped at the world of disney, got italian ice and just roamed some. headed back to the courtyard and ordered a pizza to take up to room. they have pizza hut in their restaurant on property. done laundry and to bed by midnight again
Monday
went to epcot WS. Jenny wanted to eat all the way around the world and buy something in each country. So we started in mexico with a churro and a little instrument thingy. riode the boat rode.. Norway we found almond cookies but nothing cheap enough she wanted to buy nothing less than $20 so we skipped buying something there. on to china with eggrolls and a puppet on strings. Saw the bus of characters and got donald and daisy together in one picture. and Jimmity cricket. all the others we had seen elsewhere. then the outpost for a braclet. Germany was a dool and pretzel. italy couldn't find anything to buy and she was tired of sweets so didn't buy or eat there. Jenny decided she wanted good ole american food and she ate a chicken strip dinner and i had the child hotdog meal. she bought a keychain in american and talking to the CM she suggested to buy postcards of the two countries we had missed. this made jenny happy. But she thought it was funny that we bought italy and normways postcards in america. Well we continued around the countries giving up eating but she was determined to buy something we found a drum in japan, horn in morrocco and little things in the rest of the countries. Seen the living stautes in france. She was good and funny. somehow we missed buying anything in canada. didn't realize it till that night. finished the ws about 7 and went back to the hotel for a swim and hamburgers from the restaurant there. they are huge but good. bed by 11
Tuesday later morning. Ate breakfast buffet at the hotel which was really good and cheap for disney prices. $7.95 for adults and children $3.95 includes the drinks. went to the ricer country had purchased tickets a few days earlier. small park most everything goes into water that is at least 4 feet deep too deep for jenny to feel comfortable. so not being in the park an hour i decioded it was not worth $30 buvcks to play in lake water. Asked to exchange for blizzard beach tickets and pay the difference. but she just refunded the money. So back on the bus to the transporation center and there was the bus for typhoon lagoon. I was tired by this point, but oh well who wasn't. got tickets looking for a place to change into the swim suit i had taken off at river country and the remark (those waves are too big) out of jenny;'s mouth. (she really like BB waves pool but tthe waves are much smaller.) I turned around a walked out and asked the ticket woman that I had just bought tickets from if we could exchange for BB tickets. She gladly exchanged but then told me BB was closed for capacity. I gave up. happened to catch the DD disney bus straight back to the courtyard. Jenny was tired. we got a snack from there snack bar and jenny took a nap for about two hours. Needed her to be rested for enight that night.
well about 5 back to MK rode several rides and caught up with a bunch of diser's right before enight. talked a bit and done buzz lightyear and people mover and Jenny said she was really tired. so we ate dinner at casey's. I was thinking feeding her would make her feel better, but it did the opposite she was worn out. plus my toe was hurting (another long story explain in final thoughts) So at 12:30 we head out of MK. Yes I know we missed a good night but she was just too tired, and i guess it hit all at once.
So back to room for well needed sleep.
Wednesday
MK all day. rodes rides and more rides. Chicken wrap for lunch at peco bill's YUMMY more rides and more rides. and shows. and a few characters.
snack at pinnochios' hamburger and fries. (we shared one meal each time) pirates of carribean have they changed the ride. Seemed like all we saw befroe the dip was black tunnels not boats or pirates. Maybe i was just too tired. but did not expect the dip when it came and it gave me a major stomach ache. then we done the new allidin ride well we got the back half and the little girl in front of us was up and down jerking up and down the whole ride. boy was i sick after wards. (Sad to get sick on such mild rides) than we went and caught the dumbo ride with less than 15 minutes wait. so what did jenny do too me up and down up and down. there I go again got sicker on dumbo. (she thought it was really funny and i played it up worse than it really was ) anyways rode a few more rides and at closing we left MK and said goodbye to Mickey until next trip. Back to room packed and washed clothes and persoanal size pizza's for dinner. then finally to bed.
Thursday and leaving
hardest morning to get up. Knowing we were leaving showered finshed the packing, ran down and ate breakfast buffett again and went back for lugguge check out and tiffany was waiting for us.
On a crowded bus at 12:45 with half the bus coming from disney world (lots more ride the busses than i thought) had great drivers good food stops empoty busses after atlanta for a nice trip home. we slept most of it.
the worse part is being so tired when arriving home for the next two days.
We had an excellent trip and already planning our next trip
Hopefully in march before it gets too hot.
