This was posted on the Lonely Planet forums, by a gentleman from Tunis who works in the travel field:
1- The train ( T.G.M) schudle won't be altred duiring Ramadhan, except at the sunset ( around 7:00 /07:15' p.m ) just few trains will be operating.
2- As it's Ramadhan only few restaurants ( the one which are classified touristic restaurants will be open down town or in the suburbs) you may use the hotel restaurants as they will be open as well.
The shops in the medina are open till about 05:00/05:30 p.m therefore the ones down town might close earlier.
Should be plenty doable for an on-our-own day in and around Tunis.2- As it's Ramadhan only few restaurants ( the one which are classified touristic restaurants will be open down town or in the suburbs) you may use the hotel restaurants as they will be open as well.
