August 28, 2010 Pirates of the Barbary Coast - 11 nights in the Mediterranean

Yikes! I don't know if I want Steve to see this list. He loves going to the movies onboard. I know that he would love to see a number of these. But I am usually so tired by the end of the day that I always fall asleep in the movie. I may have to send him alone.

I agree, I would love to see almost all of these movies, but I think I am going to be so tired every night. It's always hard for me on the cruise not to do everything and this one is going to be even worse with the long days in port.

I am so excited I can't believe it is so close!!

To all who might be interested I just gost the list of Movies showing during our cruise... And they are....:cheer2:

Up 3D:3dglasses, ToySt 1, 2 and 3 ( all in 3D:3dglasses)
Cheers

YES!!! We are currently living in Europe and I put off seeing Toy Story 3 in the hopes that we would get to see it on our "MAGICal" cruise this August!! So exciting!

Hi Everybody!! We're so excited to be cruising with Disney again! The cast for our family is me (33), DH (34), DS (6 1/2), and DS (4 1/2) We'll be dropping them off at the Oceaneer's Club the first day, so hope we'll get to meet some of you there! :cheer2:

Thanks for the replies.

Good to know that we won't be on our own in club. I am looking forward to meeting Joao and Nathan and Lydia is looking forward to meeting Carlota and Maia. Looks like Maia is the same age as Lydia.

I do have an xbox but my partner has just returned from a 5 week vacation and we are having lessons every day between now and the cruise so I am unable to go on x box at the moment.

A message from mum (Elliott is ranked 14 in the world in Ballroom and Latin Dancing and is training with a new partner ready to start competing on our return to the U.K.) Both children will be in club on the first day to get their bands and for us to have another look round as Lydia likes us to see what they are going to be doing. Look forward to seeing you all in there.

Oh and by the way JPINTO well done on the info for the theatre.:thumbsup2

By the way I have a question regarding the kids club. I have only registered on line Carlota at the Lab, as it did not give me an option to register Joao. Does anyone knows how it works. Can João 11 be with her sister, or will they have to be separated? In any case it looks like we have found a nice group of 3 boys and 3 girls, but I am Bit confused to how it works in this case

Thanks :confused3

Is anyone booked for a private Rome excursion? Let me know if you have room for 2 adults.
I still can't private message, I think I have 2 more quotes to go. Maybe you could private message me? If not I will have to wait until I can pm and I will send my email address.

We haven't registered Elliott either. We were on the Magic a two years ago when they pilot tested the new age groups. At that time Elliott could choose if he wanted to go with his sister, but we were told that he could not cross over to the other group later. It was difficult at first but he made some good friends and they all went round together and looked out for each other.

Not sure how they will work it in this cruise. Sometimes if there are not so many children they allow siblings to stay together if they want. I think it depends on the maturity of the child also. Not long to find out though:banana:

See you all soon. Andrea

I recently read a travel article that said that as of this year, Disney was trying a new approach to their children's activities: they are trying to be more open. I believe I read that they are reducing the age restrictions and allowing siblings to be together for different programs and activities, regardless of their age.

Hope that's true, as my boys are at the "want to be like big brother" stage. ;)

Oh, and EDIT I thought I'd update the roll call ~

I'm new to the Dis Boards, so I have a question. Is the roll call just for those who plan to participte in the Fish Extender exchange or should everyone on the cruise add thei names? Thanks for the information. Karyn

I am wondering that myself :confused3... I have an hunch that some of the people on the roll call may not be aware of the FE exchange. We are in for FE, so perhaps we should know who wants to participate right?
It would be good nevertheless to know who are all the people who have been participating on this forum, since we will be all sharing a fantastic adventure real soon:yay:

Hello everyone! I, along with three friends, will be embarking on this cruise with you all in just a short 16 days! Yipee! I am having a problem though. I am trying to book Colisseum advance tickets, and it is telling me there are none available. Is anyone else having this problem? Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated, as we really don't want to have to wait in the long line the day of. Thanks!

Tink2300, welcome. Are you on the ticketclic.it site? We're noticing that it shows availability through Aug 31, then nothing for days in September. Perhaps they haven't put September up for sale yet, hopefully soon.

Hi Yow - fellow Canadians.
We are flying from New York on 25th directly to Barcelona, then returning on
8th Sept with AC via Montreal to Toronto - we got a much better price going this way, so we are taking the Megabus to NY on 24th. A more complicated route but we saved quite a lot this way.

The fun of living in Canada, eh? We have flown out of Syracuse, Boston, etc, and saved thou$ands over time. Oddly enough this time we were able to use points on the desired routing and dates -- must have been the stars lining up nicely. :goodvibes

Yes, I am, and I noticed that too! I am just afraid they won't put those up for sale before we leave, but I hope I am wrong. I guess I'll just keep checking back every day! If you can't buy tix there, how were you planning on doing the Colisseum without the wait? I've heard you can buy the tickets at Palatine Hill as well and the line there isn't very long. So maybe that's an option.
