August 22 - 29 Beach Club Villas

Earlier in the year, I had booked a one bedroom at Beach Club Villas for a vacation with the person I was dating... last month he announced he didn't really want to go. (After I booked the room, made dinner reservations, bought the plane tickets... thanks!!)

Kept trying to find someone else to go with, but the response from friends is usually, "Florida in August? Are you crazy?" No, but I also don't want to go alone~

I don't mind walking around Epcot or AK alone, but doing the MK or HS doesn't work...

So, someone suggested I post here to see if anyone was interested in sharing the room for those days. You would have the living room as your bedroom, and we would share the bathroom, kitchen, laundry.

Ideally we would go to the parks together - maybe even dinner.

I am 45 male from New York... let me know if you might be interested. We can talk on line and see if we are compatible.

And just so ya know, a few of us are local, and dont mind meeting new people for park visits/drinks/and or dinner....Post some more and tell us about yourself!

My family will be at the Beach Club the same time. If you want to tag along with us for parks and stuff the more the merrier!! We live in New Jersey so we are practically neighbors!

I think of Disney as my second home... I try to get down to Orlando twice a year - usually February and August.

I am a DVC member - Saratoga being my home base, but almost never stay there... have done Wilderness Villas, AK Lodge, OKW... would like to try each DVC property before I settle on a favorite!

Sadly, I lost my job last month which makes all these trips (and the DVC membership itself) all the more of a problem. But, like one of my friends said, "this may be just the thing to get you started again!"

Anyway, I live on Long Island in NY and spend a good amount of time at the beach. This year the beach has been spectacular, too - great water, perfect ocean breeze.... I also go to the mountains a lot also and hope to head up there next weekend.

I have spent some time at WDW by myself...but I prefer to be social and meet people. I have been lucky in that I have met people like was suggested and spent the day with them in the parks... but thought here I have this great room, maybe someone could enjoy it with me...

So, that's it for now... saw Memphis on Broadway this afternoon and am exhausted from the day in the city... off to sleep -

Hey there! Just found this thread- don't know if you are still going but if you are my girlfriend and I would love to meet up for a drink or something. We have upgraded from POFQ to AKL for a week and then POLY CL for the second week. We are in the world from the 22nd of August thru Sept 4th.
