Magic Happens Parade ends August 22 as of the Calendar - July 23.

Winnie the Pooh: May 1 to ???

Disneyland Railroad: August 5 to ???

Space Mountain: August 5 to Sept. 5. Reopens Sept. 6.

Pooh Corner: May 1 to ???

Dumbo: August 6th Reopens August 7th.

All of Critter Country is closed as of May 1. The path to GE from NES/CC is closed as of July 8th.

I don’t know for sure but I wonder if it’s because of the closer of that whole area and if they don’t want people spilling out into the street. I think it is maybe a way to maintain the crowds. Everything after haunted mansion is basically closed during the time of VQ.

As I recall, it's been quite a few years since Disney did the Halloween overlay of Space Mountain (like, I think pre-COVID)...So I doubt that would be it. If it was, wouldn't they include that announcement with the Halloween announcement about other Halloween-specific offerings (like Guardians and HM)?

My two cents: Since Pirates became Genie +, the standby queue often extends to the end of Cafe Orleans. HM has historically had long lines during the holidays. It will also have long lines after being closed for so long. If they are going to keep Pirates as Genie + (maybe until Tiana's opens), and aren't finished with construction of the new HM queue, instituting a VQ allows them open the ride to guests without the queues running into each other.

OM please tell me you really didn't just say this!!!! I'm already bummed enough that Winnie the Pooh will be closed, but I thought " DS is finally tall enough for Space Mountain!" We arrive August 4th, the 5th is our first day in the park.

The queue construction will still be going on. The building and ride rehab will be done, so they're opening the ride without the queue. (No LL, either.)

Optimally, it will work like Secret Life of Pets at USH. Join the queue, get called, wait in a short line after checking in, ride the ride.

@joseph821, I probably shouldn’t have jumped in about GG..you would know more than I. I don’t go near the park from August to the end of November
Absolutely hate Halloween.

I just remembered that they used to turn SM into a Halloween thing called GhostGalaxy, I just assumed that was still a thing…seems like it’s never plain ole SM anymore. I rode once last week and that’ll do it for me…another one bites the dust!
