August 2024 Refurbs..Haunted Mansion Holiday opens July 29th! Space Mountain and Disneyland Railroad start August 5. Monorail starts August 12.

We have a bi coastal trip planned, with DL starting 9/1. Very disappointed to see the refurbishment list as of August 30th.

Watching Freshbaked latest video the HM area doesn’t look close to ready. I think it is very optimistic to think HMH will open early. We have our flights on points and are reconsidering our plans.

Saw that too. I would be SHOCKED to see it open so early. We are there August 1-7 for our first trip and I hate to get my hopes up!

I’m new to all things Disneyland. Do they eventually give reopen dates or is it just like, surprise! It’s open again! (I’m specifically fretting over the rail road & monorail on behalf of my track obsessed child - yes I know it closes all the time anyway)

Yes on the website and APP, they will stop listing it on the date it reopens. As of today, RR and Monorail are still closed as of 9/5. Check the website and App daily!

I don't think they should close both the monorail and the RR at the same time. That's just me. I enjoy just hopping on and going around the loop to chill out and rest my dogs for a few minutes.

They have been working on building a new standby queue. It isn't ready to open yet. The ride is good to go. They had a choice. They could keep the ride closed until the standby queue was completed or they could open the ride via VQ so that a controlled number of guests were entering and exiting. They chose to do the later.

While VQ limits the number of guests who will be able to go on the attraction, a heck of a lot more will be able to enjoy it compared to if they kept the ride closed.

Also I believe the VQ for this will be way different than Rise of the Resistance as this ride is way more reliable and has a much higher rider capacity. So theoretically more people should still be able to get the VQ

Do we know the rules for the VQ yet? Like does it matter which park for reservation?
