August 2006-Who's going???

I hope these threads are a good representation of the population going in general. Our dates are the 3th-12th. Out of the posters listed here, 35 are going to be there after us and 10 will be there with us. There were 5-6 before us, but I would consider them in July, with a little hang over in August.
I am also hoping that the free dining pushes more people to choose dates after us. It isn't that I wouldn't love to meet posters from this board, but not if it means longer lines and more crowded restaurants!!!!!!!

We are going to be at US/IOA (RPRH) from 8/9-8/12, then at OKW from 8/12 to 8/19.

I wouldn't take this survey to be indicative of the "crowds" however, since DVCers get no real "perk" from the free dining Disney is offering. If you want a better indicator, go to the main board - for example, pplasky, you will be delighted to see this survey:

Looks like, from THIS poll, those of us going the week of 8/12-8/20 are in the thick of it! I have debated and debated, after Disney announced that whole free dining deal, on whether I should "swap" my trip order around (i.e. do Disney the week of Aug 5-12, then RPRH afterwards) But honestly, my dining ressies are all set, my hotel / OKW ressies set, I don't feel like spending 15 more points, yada yada, and in summary, I guess we're just gonna tough it out, crowds or no crowds!

I will say that if this thread and the other thread are any indicator, at least OKW won't be too full, LOL. Looks like a packed time at SAB and Luna park, though....

Our family (DH, DS=11, DD=7) will be at OKW 8/13-8/20/06.

Just got back from spending Easter at Disney and can't wait to go back. It's the first time I'll be spending my birthday with the mouse!

Will be bringing along friends who have 3 children (14, 12 & 8) who have never been to Disney. Can't wait to share.

Like you, DH and I will also have a DS11 and DD6 (well, one year short of yours) in tow (oh, plus a "bonus" DS9, LOL!) at OKW from Aug 12 to Aug 19!

We'll be at Okay West too from August 13th ish to the 27ish. Actually, I have the 24-27 at VB to 'end' the vacation, and I may carve out the 18th & 19th to experience Universal (Can I say Universal here?)

Definately hope to see you there!

Wow, I thought I recalled seeing your name on a certain other boards' calendar for the same week! So... A Gopher meets a frog at OKW... sounds like the beginnings of a either an interesting trip report or a tired barside joke, LOL - all we need is a rabbi,priest,or politician thrown in for good measure! (Sorry, pretty sure I don't classify as any of the three.)

My 'grinning frog avatar' a.k.a. Disturbing Frog is used at some other sites that I frequent. I'm a big fan of Red-Eyed Treefrogs, so that is my avatar here at the DIS!
