DD6 was all concerned last week because she hadn't practiced graduating from 1st grade. After all she graduated from pre-school and kindergarten, had watched her little buddy graduate last week from kindergarten and her friend graduate from 8th grade. When I told her you don't graduate from 1st grade she looked very solemn and confused. Finally, she said, "But do I get out of school?". I couldn't help chuckling as I told her she would get out and have a summer vacation and when she returned to school she would be in 2nd grade. She is too much!

what have I gotten myself into??

I've put the deposit down for the Aug. 20 '05 repo cruise.

I wasn't totally crazy about the 7 day cruise I took in '03 (I am not much for relaxation, I have to run around and keep busy to stay sane - and weather prevented docking at Castaway Cay) but - it's the freakin' PANAMA CANAL. Plus, I know how nice the ship is, and I'm looking forward to Palo again.

I am going solo and will have my own little Category 11 closet that I haven't actually been assigned yet.

I'll also have my 41st birthday during the cruise.

I was told when I booked up that this cruise is nearly sold out!

You betcha!! Ever since we found out we could go to the Palo bar without a Palo ressie AND we could order DESSERT (read: souffle) at the bar without a ressie, we'll have a standing "date" at Palo's every single night!!!

By the end of the cruise the bar seats will have our names engraved on them
