I'm not on your cruise but wanted to tell you that you can stop at a COSTCO on your way to the port from LAX. It's off the 405 freeway and Rosecrans Blvd. If you're coming from Long Beach airport or John Wayne, there's a COSTCO in Signal Hill (near Long Beach) - off the 405 and Cherry Avenue South.

Just in case you can't stand to be too far away from a COSTCO....

I was just looking at trip insurance and got very confused. This is the only trip I haven't had insurance from the original booking. The thing I am most concerned about if "pre-existing conditions".

Can someone help me understand the "pre-existing conditions" clause? They had options of 120 days, 180 days, 60 days...
You know I am asking because of Stan. I guess none of them will cover him. Kicking myself for not getting the insurance at booking as usual.

Darlene, ask the potential insurance companies. You may be surprised. When we booked our first cruise, we got insurance. At the time my dad had leukemia but was not actively treating. Yes he was on medications, etc. He passed away when we were on the cruise and the insurance did cover it. He did not die from luekemia, but rather a different related condition, but it was one he was not treating for at the time we got the insurance. It's a lot of money you would be out if you had to cancel, so I would definitely check into it. What can it hurt to ask?

My DH said he would be a judge, unless anyone is opposed to two members from the same household. We don't think alike and would judge independently, but we'll understand if anyone is opposed to this.
