Hello Jweiss,
Because we booked our whole deal with DU, they included the transfers from Airport to Port on the morning of the cruise. I can only assume that
it will be a van of some sort. Even though we could have gotten cheaper airfares on our own, DH felt more comfortable with DCL being responsible for getting us to the ship on time(couldn't fly in sooner for certain reasons, and we worried that we are cutting too close with the timing otherwise).
I have contacted DU for more details, but they say it's too soon for that yet.

We will be moving to an area called Forset Hills in Lake County, FL (see map below). It is about a 25 minute ride west of the Daytona Beach area and about a 90 minute ride northwest the Port Canaveral area. Hazel has already started cleaning out her dresser and wardrobe getting rid of things that she doesn't wear anymore. Maybe she is more excited about this move than I thought.

My mom has a huge piece of ground and we are thinking of adding an addition on to her mobile home for the three of us. I've already started drawing up designs for the addition. My mom is really looking forward to having some family "close" by. We "know" this is going to work out, I have a very good feeling about this, and I am the type of person that has a hard time with change.

We will be about an hour and fifteen minutes away from the Dixie Crossroads in Titusville. We did fine another Dixie Crossroads closer to my mom, but the atmosphere isn't the same.

It will just be nice not having to worry about walking around in the snow and ice anymore!!! That week we spent in Florida before our cruise in January sealed the deal for us. I know it isn't always that nice, but it sure felt good on these old knees of mine.

I know most of us will be partying together at the hotels, but just in case anybody is interested - The Hollywood Bowl has an evening with Natalie Cole on Friday, August 19th.

The Hollywood Bowl is a true blue part of Southern California and a delightful experience. A picnic prior is the icing on the cake. A dinner in a box seat is even better.

Do you live near Baltimore? We really enjoy visiting the Inner Harbor. (And eating crabcakes!)

I live closer to Annapolis than Baltimore. But passed the inner habor daily when I worked at Hopkins (and will be passing it regularly soon as I will be working at Hopkins on weekends to pay for the cruise. They have recently redone the Science Center at the Inner Harbor and it is very nice.

When my dad and mom (izzi) move over by me to Harmony ,we'll be about 2 hours south of you in Osceola county! Have to meet up at WDW!!! You'll love it here!

Renee--those bags are adorable.........and perfect for someone like me. When I don't have to carry a diaper bag around--I'll I want is something small for my wallet, lipstick, cell phone, and keys!!

Just caught up on the last two days' worth of postings.

Back to the one about getting shots -- we did all opt for the Hepatitis shots last August when we were taking the Western Caribbean cruise because we knew we would also be taking the Panama Cruise. It's two shots six months apart. We take our second doses in February. The doctors (ours and our daughter's) said it probably wasn't necessary if we weren't eating off ship, but it couldn't hurt as an extra precaution. We felt better safe than sorry. Now we'll be good for 10 years! So we'll take all our Mexican adventures before the shots wear off (ha ha).

Andy -- congratulations on your move. We will miss you in New Jersey, but know what you mean about the snow and ice! Hope all goes smoothly.

This may have already been mentioned -- but the DCL site (www.disneycruise.com) has posted the shore excursions for our cruise! The only disappointing thing is the Acapulco ones are almost all in the morning. We'll be there all night, but they don't offer extra excursions in the afternoon!

Hi Amanda(gassmandy),

I meant to reply to you yesterday, and somehow I did not...sorry!

Anyway, just wanted to tell you I am so sorry little Addison had to go through all that with her shots. I'm glad you are being careful. Do you know that head banging and itching are some of the symptoms my little autism students have on an ongoing basis? (I know that Addison does not have autism, thank God!). These are symptoms though of calming their sensory systems...sounds like Addison had an allergic reaction of some sort. Anyway, just so happy for you that Addison is AOK...very scary for you and your dh.

Thank you Barbara and everyone else for the kind words......yes I am aware of those symptoms/characteristics of autism. She had her shots on a Monday and started doing that on Wed. After 3-4 hours---I was FREAKING!! I called her ped. and she had us come in. She was pretty calm for the 1/2 hour ride to the drs.--cried off and on. Have to say I was "glad" Addison did all the crying and stuff in front of the dr. so she wouldn't blow it off. She was awesome.....admitted it was most likely a reaction (they tested her for a UTI just in case). I thought that was cool of her since the other dr. we had during her 4 month reaction--totally denied that could even be it.
Anyway--she said that with her shots before school--NO PERTUSSIS!!
My chiropractor would kill me if he knew I continued with her shots....I just feel split. I don't want me to be vaccinated but then not her. Any optional vaccines--she won't be getting.
The day after her dr. visit for her reaction--she woke up totally back to normal. We got really blessd because she is REALLY easy so I knew she wasn't just throwing a temper tantrum that day. Anyway--Thanks all for listening and being gracious.
