Sorry, but you're wrong. I will tell you some people though. My son is back row, on right (he had just had surgery on his face, a boomarang accident) next to him is Sandy and next to her is my daughter. My cousin Dave (the coaster freak) is sitting next, in the jump seat.

Let say, what you are saying is correct...Are you trying to tell me that you are too coward to go on TOT???

I was on the ride too. It was my first time on TOT. Our group was almost the entire car, there was no way I was going to be able to not go!! I'll admit I avoided it before, but now that I've gone on it I can avoid it for entirely different reasons!! Our group trip to Cedar Point Park in May will be a truer test for me. My kids say that I'm like that priceless commercial that ends with, "listening to your dad scream like a little girl...Priceless"...Mark

Hope you easterners are all sound asleep! Quick check in here...very tired but a good tired. Had a very nice day with my family, but we've done a lot of car driving this weekend. Saw "Ocean's 12" - do not see it, it's not even worth a video/dvd rental. Some very funny lines though, but I actually caught some shut eye which I never do in a movie other than the dreaded Pokeman Movie...mom and sis did too.

Anyway, here is a little fact for our cruise. The night of August 19th (2005) is a full moon!!! What a perfect way to begin the adventure of the Ship of Fools at the San Pedro HI or HoJo's (we plan to be at one or the other, maybe even both, for a pre-cruise meet with ya' all!)

I'll catch up with the posts tomorrow in between baking holiday cookies for our neighbors with dd...it's our tradition.

Good nite!

Glad to hear you had a good weekend Barbara! Sometimes that "tired" feeling is a nice one. Especially after a day of doing things that you enjoy.

So, we're having a full moon to start off our vacation, huh? I think the heavens are aligning for us as a sign of a good voyage!

Good morning!

I've been catching up on all the posts after my VERY busy weekend and Christmas dinner for 33! :earseek: I'm really happy to say, though, that everything turned out just terrific!!! Everyone had a good visit with each other and there was lots of good eating. (It must have been good - I only have "scraps" left from each dish we served! :D ) What made the day even more special is that my sister Sandra (who was in critical condition on life support only two months ago) was able to be with us!!! She had a weekend pass from the rehab unit and was so happy to be with everyone.
It felt like a very special time for everyone - family members known to not get along with one another seemed to "leave it all at the door" and work hard to make it a nice day for everyone. My dear niece (who passed away 8 days after having her first baby in April) was very missed, but her husband was there with little Madison, who looks Exactly like her mother did at her age! It really helped to have her there.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and good wishes on how to cope with such a large crowd at a home dinner.

NOW FOR THE OTHER BUSINESS ... Mark really got me into trouble when I wasn't around to defend myself!!!!! For the record, I DO NOT know Seth, nor am I in cahoots with Mark to drive Melinda crazy!!! (The Looneyhood seems to be able to do that all by themselves - they don't need any help from a "Sister".! :D )

I want a rollback on the "three strikes" punishment clock!!! I'M INNOCENT, I TELL YA, INNOCENT!!! :teleport:

:grouphug:

Oops - forgot to report about the extreme weather we're having here! The current temp is -23C, with a windchill of -37 :earseek: (For our American friends, the two temperature scales actually meet at -40, so you can gauge how cold it really is here!

To make it worse, I'm at work in a building with NO HEAT! :charac2: The current indoor temperature is 53 degrees Fahrenheit. :earseek: :earseek: Isn't there a law against conditions like this??? After being sick for three weeks, I'm just starting to feel better!

The only thing we don't have is SNOW. Whatever we had has melted, and now it's too cold for more to fall. We've let Grumbo's area (only 45 minutes away) keep it all. :earboy2:

Barbara - have fun baking today! Lara and I made Christmas fruitcakes last night. (Late, I know, but I don't use any alcohol in mine :earseek: so it doesn't need time to soak into the cake.)

Arlene

-35 C this morning....
Here is a photo looking across the lake on our waterfront.... You can really see the temperature difference between the water and air... (This is a live shot so will change each time you load the page)

Glad your dinner was good Arlene. Thanks for the invitation and it was good to see Seth again.

Marks got to be the one in the front row on the left! Only one with his head on backwards!

Bmwdsny said:

Well, now there is another source who says that he is the 2nd row on the right, with a blue shirt....or maybe on the left with the red shirt!!
Now there are too many sources now....

C'MON MARK WHICH ONE IS YOU????? SCEESCH!! what are you afraid of??? You know what we looked like, so you are not being fair!!!!

Alrene, just so know...YOU ARE FORGIVEN!!!! :cloud9: (not that we were even against you in the first place!!)

Oops gotta do something now, be back later...

I nabbed this from the May Repositioning cruise (I hope they don't mind!):

tap & dap of the May Repositioning Cruise said:
E-mailed Disney Cruise Line last week and asked about shore excursions, they said they definitely would have them posted by the 90 day mark and hoped to have them up sooner to just keep watching their website.

At worst that would mean sometime in February.

If this holds true, then the latest we would have our info would be mid-May or so. Maybe we'll get lucky and DCL will post info on both of the repositioning cruises at the same time!

Let's hope! :flower1: I love planning! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I can't believe my bad luck today! As I complained earlier, we're in a "cold weather warning" here with windchills of -35, the heat's not working properly in our office building, THEN WE HAD A FIRE!!!!!

Yep - no warning, just evacuation fire alarms ringing! We grabbed our coats and headed out to the front lawn to shiver for almost an hour. Apparently a tenant on the first floor had a space heater plugged in which overheated and caused an electrical fire in the panel. We're not allowed to go to our cars (so they can keep track of people during the emergency).

Funny thing, though - the building "seemed" much warmer after they left us outside for so long! :D

Arlene

Wow. I hope no one was hurt in the fire, Arlene. It seems that there are always several deaths from heater-related fires here in the Tampa Bay area each winter. Unit heaters can be so dangerous.

And I share your love of planning! As soon as I booked the Panama Canal cruise I ran to AAA and got maps and guidebooks for all of the areas we would be visiting. The info is great but I want to know what excursions DCL will be offering!!!

BMWDSNY CALLS TO BUY A COMPUTER FROM GRUMBO . . . .

GRUMBO: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?
BMWDSNY: Thanks. I'm setting up an office in my den and I'm thinking about buying a computer.
GRUMBO: Mac?
BMWDSNY: No, the name's Melinda.
GRUMBO: Your computer?
BMWDSNY: I don't own a computer. I want to buy one
GRUMBO: Mac?
BMWDSNY: I told you, my name's Melinda.
GRUMBO: What about Windows?
BMWDSNY: Why? Will it get stuffy in here?
GRUMBO: Do you want a computer with Windows?
BMWDSNY: I don't know. What will I see when I look in the windows?
GRUMBO: Wallpaper.
BMWDSNY: Never mind the windows. I need a computer and software.
GRUMBO: Software for Windows?
BMWDSNY: No. On the computer! I need something I can use to write proposals, track expenses and run my business. What have you got?
GRUMBO: Office.
BMWDSNY: Yeah, for my office. Can you recommend anything?
GRUMBO: I just did.
BMWDSNY: You just did what?
GRUMBO: Recommend something.
BMWDSNY: You recommended something?
GRUMBO: Yes.
BMWDSNY: For my office?
GRUMBO: Yes.
BMWDSNY: OK, what did you recommend for my office?
GRUMBO: Office.
BMWDSNY: Yes, for my office!
GRUMBO: I recommend Office with Windows.
BMWDSNY: I already have an office with windows! OK, lets just say I'm sitting at my computer and I want to type a proposal. What do I need?
GRUMBO: Word.
BMWDSNY: What word?
GRUMBO: Word in Office.
BMWDSNY: The only word in office is office.
GRUMBO: The Word in Office for Windows.
BMWDSNY: Which word in office for windows?
GRUMBO: The Word you get when you click the blue "W".
BMWDSNY: I'm going to click your blue "w" if you don't start with some straight answers. OK, forget that. Can I watch movies on the Internet?
GRUMBO: Yes, you want Real One.
BMWDSNY: Maybe a real one, maybe a cartoon. What I watch is none of your business. Just tell me what I need!
GRUMBO: Real One.
BMWDSNY: If it's a long movie I also want to see reel 2, 3 & 4. Can I watch them?
GRUMBO: Of course.
BMWDSNY: Great! With what?
GRUMBO: Real One.
BMWDSNY: OK, I'm at my computer and I want to watch a movie. What do I do?
GRUMBO: You click the blue "1".
BMWDSNY: I click the blue one what?
GRUMBO: The blue "1".
BMWDSNY: Is that different from the blue w?
GRUMBO: The blue "1" is Real One and the blue "W" is Word.
BMWDSNY: What word?
GRUMBO: The Word in Office for Windows.
BMWDSNY: But there's three words in "office for windows"!
GRUMBO: No, just one. But it's the most popular Word in the world.
BMWDSNY: It is?
GRUMBO: Yes, but to be fair, there aren't many other Words left. It pretty much wiped out all the other Words out there.
BMWDSNY: And that word is real one?
GRUMBO: Real One has nothing to do with Word. Real One isn't even part of Office.
BMWDSNY: STOP! Don't start that again. What about financial bookkeeping? You have anything I can track my money with?
GRUMBO: Money.
BMWDSNY: That's right. What do you have?
GRUMBO: Money.
BMWDSNY: I need money to track my money?
GRUMBO: It comes bundled with your computer
BMWDSNY: What's bundled with my computer?
GRUMBO: Money.
BMWDSNY: Money comes with my computer?
GRUMBO: Yes. No extra charge.
BMWDSNY: I get a bundle of money with my computer? How much?
GRUMBO: One copy.
BMWDSNY: Isn't it illegal to copy money?
GRUMBO: Microsoft gave us a license to copy money.
BMWDSNY: They can give you a license to copy money?
GRUMBO: Why not? THEY OWN IT!

A FEW DAYS LATER ....

GRUMBO: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?
BMWDSNY: How do I turn my computer off?
GRUMBO: Click on "START"....

Good morning all!

Thanks kmiles for sharing the latest...can't wait to get the excursion info.! Yes, this i going to be one amazing voyage!!!

Arlene dear sister! I was thinking of you all weekend! Congratulations on a special party for your family!!! I'm so happy your dear sister was able to come for your celebration, that is just wonderful! I feel sad for you & your family having your first Christmas without your niece. What a tragedy. I'm glad you had the joy of little Madison. 's to you.

I cannot believe how cold it is your way guys!!!!!!! We are presently at 57 degrees here...sunny & pleasant. Now, how in the heck do they allow you to be in your building with no heat in that weather??? And, a fire??? So glad you are OK. Please be careful!!! I think you should go and work from home today...shame on your company. Try and stay warm..take some Airborne so you can be well for the holidays. Again, big  's to you Arlene. :)

Mel, enjoy these next two weeks as soon you will be a working woman outside of the home. That's a big change, but you will do GREAT!!!

Take care all,

Barbara

From the marks on his fur, I'd say someone was trying to grill him. Maybe it's one of those "Burger King" raccoons?
