Small World

NO .... DON'T CLICK!!!!! I did, and it's one of the worst renditions I've heard - The first part sounds like it's played on a kazoo, followed by an Oom-pa-pa band!

I'm gonna need more than Advil to recover from that!;) :jester:

hey Arlene, That was the website that came up when i did google search!! What tha matta?? You didn't like it???

c'mon everyone..., go ahead-- click click click and get that song stuck to YOUR head!!!!!:teeth:

OHH, I thought it was cute (LOL). I just played it at work and it made me laugh out loud -- so that's a good thing. Now, I need to turn the radio on and QUICK get a different song in my head!

I would rather have a Wiggles song in my head than Barney. I won't even let DD watch Barney! Not even D&N. Oops, that last part would have to be me!

Okay how about this...

It's a beatiful day in the neighborhood

and so forth and so on.

Better than Barney or Small World.

We could have the N&D :rockband:

perform it while the rest of us do

the :thewave:.

Too much rain I am ready for it to stop raining and start snowing. The way things have been going that is exactly what is going to happen. Hey they do snow at WDW at Christmas time maybe they could do N&D skiing on the Magic next summer. Over the side and down the canal. That would be one heck of a ski jump.

All I can say after reading the past threads is:

:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

This is going to be one wild cruise!!!

Now that the hurricanes have passed Florida (glad izzinmac are not in Kansas), we are beginning to have measureable earthquakes again here in CA - 6.0 this a.m. in central CA on the San Andreas.

Should a big one occur on or around 8/20/05, you all can always meet at our house prior to departure, and then we can ride bikes to the port if needed, lol! I'll ask our neighbors if they'll let us borrow their bikes. ;)

I just heard about the Earthquake!

Hope everybody is OK!

I just hope DD doesn't find out!

I keep joking with her about how I want to visit California before it falls into the ocean!

Stay Safe!

What's the name of those new guys from Australia, the cute fuzzy triangular ones that don't speak? Do they have a song?

As a native So Calif who has been through Sylmar, Northridge, Palm Springs, Landers/Big Bear and countless others, 6.0 is nothing. It is a wake-up call. Enough to wake you up, but not bad enough that you have time to slip on your shoes and do the duck and cover. Knocks a few things off store shelves but that is about it. Also, this was in central Kaliforneia, not in So Calif. So Arnold got rumbled, but not us.

Now, back to our regular blithering!!!

Laura

Hey Scratch, I agree with AuntyBrat...no need to worry! Been through them all too as a native here. The one that we did feel most was during the Northridge quake - we saw first hand what it did to my in-laws home...they flew straight up out of bed almost to the ceiling. Good news is that it was all re-buildable. It is, however, difficult to describe what an earthquake feels like...it's very surreal...they differ from jolts to long waves. You all will be AOK, they often occur here when the weather changes from hot to cold or cold to hot. That does not happen often in August.

Laura (AuntyBrat) - wonderful to see you posting and full of good humor! I'm taking that as you are feeling pretty OK considering and wishing you well as you heal. You are a strong woman!!!

Take care all!

Barbara

Actually I have experienced an earthquake here in Toronto!LOL

But it was over so quickly that I did not realize it!

Most of them, are so slight you would think it is a semi-truck going by. No worries, there is plenty of notice for the tsunami's (tidal waves) and despite bad NBC movies, Calif will not fall off into the ocean and Blythe will not become ocean front property. We don't have fault lines that big here. Alaska yeah, California, nope.

By the way, while real Floridians have the hurricane stuff bookmarked on their favorites, we Californians, have CalTech and other earthquake websites on ours!!! Check it out:

Which gives me an idea for another D&N game!!! Duck, Cover and Hold!!!!

Are you talking about TELETUBBIES?????? AAAAHH, they are cute but ANNOYING!!!!! Perhaps we can get the guys imitate them!!! LOL!!!

First full day back on line, having proven myself as a bona fide hurricane magnet, and all I hear about now is earthquakes!! Give me a break!!!

Want to know why I live in Florida - Hurricanes are better than Earthquakes!! At least you can see em comin!

By birth, I'm a fifth generation native Californian - currently a traitor! Spent all my early years sounding like Laura and Barb - Earthquakes - no sweat!!!

Then I moved to the Philippines and went through a 1 minute, 45 seconds 7.9 Earthquake 10 miles from the epicenter. You could actually see the earth rolling like a wave, and couldn't stand up. Weeks of aftershocks at the 6 range. From that moment on California was on my no live there list. Still have flashbacks when I visit my son and brother there. Sorry, but I'll take three back to back hurricanes anyday!

Not a very loyal Native Son of the Golden West, huh?

Maybe you guys don't want me to go on this cruise with you. I know I wouldn't want to go with me. But I have to.

Still haven't told my wife our HoJo rooms are in the high rise!

Hi All,
I was in a meeting all day, had to come home and check the boards to realize there'd been an earthquake...and my meeting was VERY central CA. This is my 3rd or 4th earthquake, but only one, Fairbanks Alaska, in the 60s was a biggie...that one threw me out of bed, and when we ran outside the earth was moving up and down like a seesaw.
