I'm sorry for being so vague. I work in this business. Sandra naps/sleeps/relaxes around the house. If you ever miss a daytime soap, e-mail her and she'll let you know what happened. It doesn't matter which soap either she watches them all...Mark

Melinda,

Do you think that Grumbo is really Arlene’s dh and that they both are conspiring to get the Sisterhood – perhaps “Doris” and “Martin” are alias’? I remember Arlene saying how much she enjoyed shopping at Costco. Or, maybe Arlene is really Grumbo’s professional partner at work??? Hmmm… it’s all coming together now, this is a real possibility. That would explain the whole situation.

Barbara

Yeah, it sure is coming together allriight...Do you remember a post while back that Grumbo wanted to go Arlene's house for dessert?? He was really talking about that he will be at Arlene's this weekend for dinner!!! Oh, the mystery deepens!!!
Uh, Be VERY careful Barbara, feeling sorry for Mark....I did that once and he took advantage and messed with my head...aka: Seth!!! Just warning ya, Sis!! honestly you just don't know WHO to trust in todays world!!!

Yes Mel, you are right. No sooner do I say something nice than Mark has a snide comment about our Sister Sandra. I will watch my back, thanks for the reminder!

Hey, maybe Scratch can do some undercover work with survelliance and check out Arlene's family dinner party on Saturday evening. Betcha Grumbo is sitting at the head-of-the-table carving the turkey!!!

OK, I promised dh that I'd spend some time with him. Got a busy weekend with day trips to see family and friends, so ya' all be good and stay safe!

haven't seen Mark here in awhile...gee, perhaps i shocked him with my E mail i sent him!!!! :earseek:

Melinda- E-mail was great, If I could figure how to post it I would!!

For those staying at the Holiday Inn San Pedro the night before we cruise, I think a Friday night meet might be good for us. We could finalize our plans for the "Sisterhood Welcome Aboard Party". We were gonna call it the swap party, but Jim, Martin, Brian and Bob thought it was a 'different' meaning party and insisted on "no backsies". I tried to explain to them that it only meant a welcome aboard party but they still didn't want their wives back afterwards. Go figure. We'll have to come up with another idea and Friday night would be great to do so...Mark

Just stopping in to tell you that my sister called me from DL today and said the wrappings are off of Sleeping Beauty castle and that it is beautiful! She wished she had a camera phone, but will email me a photo later. Maybe I can figure out how to post it... Her DS is marching in the parade in just a few hours!

TTFN!

Interesting!! I will tell Bob that!

...They own a flower business. OH, the patience my mom has to have with customers decieding who has BIG ideas and after awhile they just end up getting a carnation bud vase!! Mom likes funeral orders, because customers are so distressed they will buy anything but for weddings, forget it!!! A bride just doesn't know what she wants!!! Mom is busiest at Christmas and Valentine's and then Mother's Day.
For years i delievered flowers all over! Love getting the tips!!
And don't forget prom, where the most important decision of their lives is 5 roses or 7? and which color? with the line 10 deep and all for right this minute! My recurring nightmare was working on a stack of corsage orders, looking up at the clock and realizing that it's an hour past closing and rushing out to lock the doors just a a group of people mosey in and have no idea what they want. Oh, the horror!

Lucky you to get tips...I did get nipped by a little rat dog once.

A little Ship of Fools humor(humour)

A pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel in his pants.

The bartender says, "what's with the steering wheel in your pants"

The Pirate replies, " Arrrrrrghhh tis driven me nuts!"

This ones for Arlene

Timmy was a little five year old boy whose Mom loved him very much, and
being a worrier, she was concerned about him walking to school when he
started Kindergarten. She walked him to school the first couple of days,
and at the end of the week, he came home from school and told his mother
that he did not want her walking him to school everyday. He wanted to be
like the "big boys" he protested loudly.

So she had an idea of how to handle it. She asked a
neighbor, Mrs. Goodnest, if she would please follow him to school in the
mornings, staying at a distance, so he probably wouldn't notice her.
Mrs. Goodnest said that since she was up early with her toddler anyway,
it would be a good way for them to get some exercise as well, so she
agreed.
The next school day, Mrs. Goodnest and her little girl,
Marcy, set out following behind Timmy as he walked to school with
another neighbor boy he knew. She did this for the whole week. As the
boys walked and chatted, kicking stones and twigs, Timmy's little friend
noticed the same lady was following them as she seemed to do every day
all week.
Finally he said to Timmy, "Have you noticed that lady
following us to school all week? Do you know her?"
Timmy nonchalantly replied, "Yeah, I know who she is." The friend said,
"Well, who is she?" "That's just Shirley Goodnest" Timmy replied, "and
her daughter Marcy."
"Shirley Goodnest? Who the heck is she and why is she following us?"
"Well", Timmy explained, "every night my Mom makes me say the 23rd Psalm
with my prayers, 'cuz she worries about me so much. And in the psalm, it
says 'Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the days of my
life,' so I guess I'll just have to get used to it!"

Used to! I paid my way through college working as a floral designer. :flower: I do try to stay in practice though--I did the flowers for a good friend who got married last September, and have done a number of small weddings over the years. :rose: It's a useful skill to have. I initially got hired to do deliveries (because I can read a map...are you listening Mark?) and they were willing to train me to make arrangements.

It's good to have you back with us, and glad you had a good vacation in spite of the illness. How were the crowds at WDW? Did they diminish after Thanksgiving weekend was over? My sister was at DL today, I am so jealous!

Good morning to all Fools.

Yesterday was a great, if Foolish day. I had the pleasure of meeting fellow Fools Winotracy and her DH. I also met honorary fools, hygeine99 and Peter, and scads of other Cruistoberfest Disers. And of course my dear friend Mary Jo, her DD Sarah, and DH Sam. What a great group of people. And if our dinner last night was any indication of what is to come on in AUgust (and May...............), DCL really needs to be prepared. No one was drinking anything remotely alchoholic, but you sure couldn't tell from all the laughing, story telling, etc going on. I will be posting a few pictures later of all the fun.
