Where is it located? What was wrong with Narcosee's- I keep reading mixed reviews of the place?

Ups, missed the rest of your question.

We waited for 45 minutes to be seated, even though we were 15 minutes early to start with.
Starters were fine, but our mains came out during the firework and the steaks were all cooked wrong, the lobster was cold and our server was missing for 25 minutes.
We would have loved to see the fireworks from there, but had to stay at a table with no view because the food arrived a minute before the fireworks started.

We often eat at CG and they will ask you if you want to go outside for the fireworks and hold your food until after the fireworks. So Narcoossee's was a major disappointment.

The fireworks option sounds great. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience there. That seems to agree with what I have read online. I am always surprised to hear bad things about Disney as almost all of our experiences are so good.

We usually go to Disney twice a year. A week in February, (with a 4 night Dream cruise) and about 4 - 6 weeks in the summer. We eat A LOT on property and mostly have excellent experiences.
Narcoossee's must have been the exception to the rule. Funny thing is, that it put us off so much we have not yet returned to give it a second try.

Well after all that we may be changing our plans and staying at the port and visiting the space center instead. Dinner may have to wait until we return and by then nothing will compare to the food on the ship. Any recommendations for this new plan (haha) ,until it changes again, would be great.

What about Palo ( or the equivalent on the fantasy). Send the kids to the Vibe. Then, with the money you have saved on the meal, you can buy something shiny for the mrs.

Oh! I get that! we had the same rule last cruise. One meal.
I would say enjoy a family breakfast. You can relive your lovely family breakfast every time you look at your shiny anniversary bauble.

It is looking like we may do Palo as we keep changing our travel plans. Just have to figure out what evening would be best. I may need a vacation just from all of this vacation planning.

Palo is always a good choice! Perfect service, good food, what else could you need.
Now to find out which is which, :lmao: to make the right decision for when to go there. ;)

Palo night 3 is my choice so I hope we can get it. With gold status I hope we have a chance.

Anyone use a private car service to get to the port?

We are thinking about night 5 for Palo. Not sure if we will do it on the first or second leg of our back to back, but at least we want to fit it in once. ;)

Sorry, I won't be any help when it comes to private car service. We always get a rental car. We love to go off property while at WDW and I am not a fan of Disney transport. :goodvibes

I like the transport to and from the port but we have decided to check out kennedy space center. We will take Disney back to the hotel. I am curious to see what it is like to get o the boat before 2. This might become our preference if all goes well. I still have to figure out what we do with the luggage as Disney has always picked it up for us early in the morning and now we will have to transport it on our own. We travel light (if I can keep my number of shoes to a minimum) so it should not be too bad.

We always try to make it onto the ship as soon as possible. I just love to have as much time on as possible.
And this is the good thing with a back to back. They let the back to back cruisers on first (mostly around 10am) and then you have the whole ship kind of to yourself. It is just awesome.
We NEVER travel light (we travel for 4 - 6 weeks) and I always feel bad for the porters who have to deal with our luggage.
I checked today and we can start making our Palo reservations for the first leg of this b2b on April 12! :scared1: :cloud9: Guess it's time to make that final payment. ;)

Hi! I'm trying to get organized and plan/make my FE gifts sooner than later. I'm wondering if there is customary time (days before sailing) when the sign-up is cut-off so that we know total number of participants by a certain date? Also, most of the pictures of the FE hangars that I have seen have a pocket for each family member. Would it be confusing if I made one that has just one pocket where the FE goodies for all my family would be deposited into the one pocket? (Also, I'm a newbie to posting on Disboards so I hope I'm posting this the right way. My apologies if I messed up!)

I can't answer about the cut off date but I have seen people just have one pouch for all gifts. I don't see it as being a problem. (by the way you posted correctly).
