August 17, 2013 - A Fantasy Cruise to Paradise

Thank you for doing a late comers list. I got all excited and made my first fish extender and considering sewing was not my thing I"m quite proud of myself. We are in staterooms 2526 and 2524 if that helps. I'm going to post a few random posts to get my count up so I can post PM.

We leave on the 12th since our first stop is WDW but I can get a lot done during the week. I already have some great ideas!

Thanks so much for the movie list. I WAS wondering, actually.

Unfortunately, I cannot participate in the FE list C.

We also have 2 birthday celebrations on board. DD turns 6 on 8/10. Her best friend, who is coming with us, turns 6 on 8/26.

Anyone have Mickey call their kids yet? He called DD and her friend to say how excited he is to see them on the ship. The look on their faces listening to him was priceless!! You request the call through the DCL website. Log into your itinerary and go from there.

I scheduled a call before we leave...I can't wait for the kids to hear him!

There are 6 in total. DW DH 4 children Analyse 6 on 8/22, Velicity is 8 RJ is 10 and Randill is 15. We are in staterooms 6681 & 6683.

How many fish extender gifts do I need to make for being in group C? I will make extra and place those in random peoples extenders or is that against protocol? I just sent a request in with the FB group is that the same as this? I'm all over Pinterest right now. Luckily I ran a Disney themed day camp this past summer and I have extra supplies!

Okay procrastinating Laura is really on the ball right now...Oh and I need only a few more posts and I can PM people ;)

You can make as many gifts as you like although your only responsibility is giving to the people on your list. You can give one gift per person in the group, a family gift, or whatever pleases you. There is no protocol about giving to people not on the list. This would be up to you. The FB group is the same as this one which makes things a little confusing as some of us are known by 2 names (I use my husband's FB page as Kevin L).

Thanks for letting me know..I may not get to personal gifts but I also don't expect them either. I just think this is going to be fun and I'm happy I got some of my port calls we wanted. Ok I'm getting excited ;)

I'll also post on the FB page since that is more my speed but I only need a few more posts to get to 10 so I can PM woo hoo!!!!!

Let me help you out. Where are you from and have you cruised before?

Haven't been on this site in awhile, I have been mostly been on our Facebook page. I have two more of my family fish extender gifts to finish then I will be done. I needed a break. I am hoping that they get to the boat in one piece! Getting excited and looking forward to meeting everyone in two weeks.

Where in NY are you from? My husband is from Long Island Nassau County....I was curious as well about the "C" list as I'm ready to buy supplies today and start creating :)

You think I'd know the answer to these, but...

1. Do the cabins have illuminated clocks? I seem to remember the Dream having them, but not sure.

2. What is the procedure for checking in separately? We've always stuck together as a family. This year, DH will drop us with luggage, return rental car, then come back to meet us. I know how to get rid of the luggage, etc. He'll need his passport. Otherwise, can we check in without him? Doesn't he need to be there for the photo/other paperwork stuff, or can he do that when he arrives?

3. Is there a way to get the list of who's doing each mixology? I'm just curious whom I'm getting sloshed with. :confused3 (OK... I wouldn't know the answer to that one. I just threw it in).

I know I had another question, but can't remember right now.

I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area and this is my very first cruise! I can't tell you how excited I am. Where are you from?

We love San Francisco. Have been there a few times on vacation. Such a beautiful area. :thumbsup2
We're planning on another California vacation in 2015!

Oh, and since you asked, Tom and I are from Austria/Europe and this will be our 12th cruise with Disney since 2009. :rotfl2:

I very vividly remember the clock on the bedside table to be illuminated - it was like a seachlight. :lmao: I had something to cover it up.

Yes, I am pretty sure you can check in without your DH there. Is this your first cruise? Otherwise, they already have your photo on file. I guess you will need to wait for DH in the terminal as he needs his KTTW to sign onto the ship.

No help with mixology - anything else - just test me. :rotfl2: :lmao:

Oh I've always wanted to go to Austria! I have yet to get to Europe but one day I will. If you want any tips on California let me know. We were on the coast yesterday picking our daughters up from camp and I helped some tourist get the worlds best garlic artichoke bread. I hope they liked it ;)
