August 17, 2012 - 8 nights of "Magic" out of NY

Hello! Unless I missed it, I haven't seen a thread started for the August 17, 2012 Magic sailing out of NY so I'm starting one! I know it's quite a long ways off but it's never to early to start gathering information and planning !

Our family: me (46), DH (46), and DD (15 at time of sailing)

We will be cruising with our friends from the UK: DW, DH, DS, and DGD

We have never been to NY and I've got a lot of research ahead of me so I'm kinda glad that I have some time before we set sail! We are hoping to fly to NY from NC a few days before the cruise to do some sight-seeing!

So if anyone else has this cruise booked please join in here and lets chat!! I'm not organizing a meet or FE or anything of that nature; just wanted to get a thread started as I didn't see one. I like to chat it up on the DIS but as far as doing the extra stuff that's just not for us...no offense to anyone. If anyone would like to do that just jump right in and get started

Hi we will also be on this cruise it will be me DH DD19 and DD16 at time of sailing. Looking forward to being able to just drive over the bridge and start our vacation. This is the first cruise that I have ever booked so far in adance.

Also there is a thread started it's currently on page 5 maybe you could link the two together. Not much on that other thread either. Maybe we can get some chatter going on.
