We just got back from our vacation that ran from August 12th-August 18th with my mom, DH, DS 8, DS 4, and DD who just turned 3. We stayed at the Vacation VIllas at Fantasy WOrld where I own a timeshare trhat I had purchased a few years ago on ebay for $150. THis was our first time staying there because I usually trade my week and go to another destination through II and stay on property at Disney. I wanted to see my home resort so I decided to book a week before the kids went back to school.
Sunday 8/12: We arrived around 3pm and checked into our villa which was a very cute townhome which had two bedrooms upstaris with a bathroom and had apull out sofa in the living room, dining room, full kitchen and full batroom downstairs. The villa itself was large, nice and updated. The resort was just ok.
My mom, the kids and I went over to Animal Kingdom Lodge at 5pm because we had ADR's for 5:50 at Boma. We explored the hotel, and the animals on the savanah. The kids loved the animals. I did not notice any construction work going on at all. We checked into Boma's at 5:40pm and were seated by 5:51. The buffet was excelent and the dessert was wonderful. I especialy loved the coconut seafood soup, the Ghanian salad and the zebra domes. I did not see any friend plantain on the buffet so I wne to the chef at one of the pods and asked if they had any. He theb said he could make me some but they do not serve it on the buffet. He then brough me out a whole big bown of fried plantain. The even boxed up two full plated of food and another order of friend plantain so that I could take it to my husband. I asked the waiter and he said sure. That was very nice because most buffet places back home down't let you carry out food. I noticed that they did not charge for my DD when I received the bill they did not even ask her age but she was sitting in a high chair.
Monday 8/13 Epcot: We arrived at Epcot at 8:50. The lines were already long at athe entrence by that time. It was so crowded even though this was the beginning of a green day. They did not ask for a ticket for DD who was in the stroller. They told me she did not need one. I was confused I thought she neede a ticket. They did not even adk her age. By the time we got in and headed over to Soarin the wait time was 20 minutes. I asked for a child swap pass for DD in cast she could not ride. When all got up to the the front of the line she decided that she wanted to ride so they measured her and she made it. So we all waited in the stand by. Everyone enjoyed it. We then headed over to Living Seas while DH went to get pastpass for TT. Nemo was down at the time so we went to the 10:40am show of Crush. The kids thought it was ok they have seen it before. We then went to Nemo which was now up. There was really only a 10 minute wait for it by that time. After Nemo we went to meet DH back over at Garden Grill for our 11:20 ressies for lunch. That luch was very good and the character interaction was excelent. Mickey, Chip and Plute came aorund at least 3x. They even played and danced with the kids. We sat in a booth on the bottem level. The kids got to decorate thier own cupcake for dessert and the adult dessert was a delecious pubb cream pastry with fresh berries. After lunch we headed over to TT to use fastpass. I thought my daughter might not make it on so I got a child swap my mom did not want to ride so she sat and wited with DD. Dh, and DS's and I went through the FP and line and when we got up to the car to board the ride malfunctioned and shut down. They gave up a re entry ticket to use until the 31st. We then went over to MS. I did not want to ride so DH and Ds's went in the stand by entrence which said 20 minute wait time. They rode the orange. My mom and I waited by the inside playground to that Dd could play while we waited. We waited for at least 30 minutes for them to come off. DH and DS 8 said the ride made them sick so we werea ll ready to go home after this which was around 1:30pm.
My mom, the kids and I went back to Epcot around 6pm for Storybook proncess ressies that were for 6:50pm. The kids and I then rode TT with the child swap re entry ticket. My DD wanted to ride so they measured her and she make it on. We then went over to Norway. We arrived at the Norway castle around 7pm. That dinner was pretty good and the character interaction again was excelent. The Princesses that were there were Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Belle, Ariel, and Mulan. They came around signed autographs, took pics and talkdes with the kids. Jasmine was flirting with my 8 year old son and he loved it. He took several pics with her with a big grin. I ordered the pasta, my mom orderded the lamb, Ds 8 orderded pizza, DS 4 orderded buttered pasta, and DD orderede hot dog with corn. They all ate very well. They ate so much shrimp from the buffet that alone would have costed the price of the dinner. My kids love shrimp and lobster. So they were very happy to see the shrimp. The dessert was also very good. They again did not charge for DD's meal. After dinner we went to Mexico and rode the Grand Fiesta Tour which was walk on. My DD loved that ride so much. We then went out to watch Illuminations. My husbands brother and his family also came down this day and were staying at NIck Hotel. So my boys wanted to join there cousins at Nick Hotel. So they put them on thier reservations so that they could get wrist bands and I packed up thier clothers and took them over to Nick HOtel. That night they were going to the pool and water park at Nick Hotel. They were so excited about staying at Nick HOtel.
Tuesday 8/14 MGM: My plan was to arrive at rope drop but that was not happening due to to fact that when I went to pick up the boys from Nick Hotel they did not want to leave and go to the park. They wanted to stay and play. My BIL's family only wanted to do two parks which were Universal on Wednesday and Animal Kingdom on Thursday. So they were planning to stay at Nick Hotel most of the time which was what my boys wanted to do. I finally got them to go with us over to MGM by 11am. They did not aks for ticket for Dd agian. As soon as we arrived it was very hot and crowded. We first went to get some frozen lemonade and hot dogs. Which seemed to be on the way to TOT. During that lunch I went over to TOT I got a childswap ticket just is cast for DD because I hear that ride was very scary and I got a FP for eveyone. We sat and waitied for our FP time. DH, and DS"s and I went over to TOT and rode with Fpastpass. while my mom sat and waited with DD. It was not so bad at all. So we all rode again with the child swap re entry ticket and the remaining fastpass. THey did not chek DD height not at the beginning nor right before the ride. I don't think there is a height requirement for this ride anymore. After the ride DD said this is not scary. I then went to get a FP for Rock and Roller Coaster and then we headed over to the hat for the High School Musical Pep Rally. My 8 year old wanted to see that. My husband took him and and DD over to that and they were up in the front. My mom, Ds 4 and I sat and waited in the shade. My son got picked to go up and dance. He loved that. My DH and DS 8 and I went over to ride Rock and Roller Coaster with FP. We got childswap ticket in case DS 8 wanted to ride twice. We sat in the first car. The ride was ok but it gave me a headache. DS liked it enough but he did not want to ride again. We then headed over to Little Mermaid to get FP for the show. Somehow we got caught up in the shops and missed our Fp return time for the show so the CM changed the return time to the next show. It was then time for the parade. The kids loved the parade and the characters came over and gave them attention with a high five or a handshake. They boys were excited to see the Power Rangers and they came over and gave them high five. Right after the parade we headed over to to mermaid show. That was a nice show and the kids loved it wspecially getting wet. I had 4:20 ressies for Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Package. So we went there. The buffet here was good and the kids were once again to see shrimp. the dessert bar at this resteraunt was probable on e of th ebest I have seen so far. After dinner we went over to the Great Movie Ride which they let us walk in due to my son's 8 GAC. (He has asthma and I got him GAC card becuse his Dr. did not want him waiting out in the hot sun for too long . I never thought of showing this card before because of the FP but this ride did not have FP so I did) The adults enjoyed this ride. We to more shops. My kids would rather shop then to ride the rides. It then looked as though it was going to storm so we decided not wait for Fantasmic the boys wanted to get back to NickHotel. On our way out it started to pour so we were glad that we left when we did. THey probably canceled Fantasmic that eveing anyway.
Wednesday 8/15 Magic Kingdom: We planned to arrive at Magic Kingdom at Rope Drop but we actually got there closer to 10am. We strated out at Fantasyland. DUmbo was a 10 minute wait at that time. They did ask for ticket for DD at this park. We then got a FP for Poo. We then went to MIckey's Philarmagic, and Small WOrld, and the carosell which was walk on. We then went bak to ride poo. We had luch at the Picnochio House resteraunt. We got pizzas and hared. They were ok. There was no lines for the food and plenty of tables at around 11:30am. We then headed of to Advanture land. There we rode Aladdin which was a 5 min wait, then Pirates which was a 20 minute wait. Then we went over to fronteirland. We got a FP for ThunderMountain and headed over to SPlash which had a wait time of 90 minutes. I asked the Cm if I could have a child swap ticket because my small kids could not wait for 90 minutes. He gave me two re entry tickets so we went to the Fp line with them and got to ride. They did not chek DD height at all on this ride. I don't think there is a height requirement. We then over to thunder mountain and rode with the FP. Once again no height check. DD loved both of these mountains as well as the boys. We then took the railroad to toontown and took the path to tomorrowland. We got FP for Space Mountain and we sat around and waited for the return time. Dh and DS's then rode space mountain. DD fell asleep in her stroller while I go and my mom sat and waited with her while I wnet to get Fp for Buzz. Dh, the boys and I then did the stitch show ( Favorite of my boys) and then the Buzz with the FP. We then left the park for the day which was around 5pm. One thing I noticed was that all of the retun times seemed to be less than 1 hr after we got the fastpass. I thought that I read that it was at least a 1 hr retun time or more.
Thursay 8/16 Animal Kingdom: We had 8am ressies for Donold's Breakfast. We tried to get there in time but we arrived at 8:30am. They did not ask for a ticket wfor Dd when we went in. I see know if they see a child in a stroller or highchair they must assume that the child is free. LOL!! The seated us whithen 5 minutes of arrival. The breakfast was pretty good but the characters seemed rushed compared to the other character meals. We were out to tour the parks by around 9:30am. Again they did not chage for DD's meal. Dinoland was empty then. We first did the Dido Spin ride a couple of times while DH went to get Fp for EE. We then went to ride Dinosour whwich had a 10 minute wait time. DD was even able to ride but I got a child swap ticket just in case. They did check her height and she was ablt to ride. We loved that ride. We then went over to Asia and rode Kali which listed a 5 minute wait time. It was atually more like 15 minutes. DD was able to ride but they gave her band to sit a a special seat. We got soaked but it was fun!!!. We then went over to EE and met up with BIL and his family. My kids wanted to ride but thier cousins ages 7 and 9 did not want to ride. They measured DS and DD but DD did not make the cut and she was disappointed. They gave us a child swap ticket. They stamped Ds 4 hand with Yeti. My husband, BIL, my boys and I all rode it. It was great!! but nobody wanted to ride again with the re entry tickets so I gave them out. We then headed over to Africa to get FP for Safari. On the way to Africa we stopped at the Tree of Life to see a Bug's Life show. We had lunch at Tusker house whcih was good and then rode Safari. Eveyone enjoyed the Safari. After Africa we headed over to Camp Minnnie and Mickey to see the Lion King. We thought we were to late because it sais line up 45 minutes prior to show. So we sat around there in the shade and ate ice cream. By that time the next show was at 4:30pm. The boys went to walk around some more with thier AUnt and Uncle. My mom, DH, DD and I stayed in the shade at Camp Minnie nd Mickey we were going to meet up at 4pm in line. My Dh fell asleep on the bench and I took DD and mom to see Pochohantas. My SIL called around 4pm to say that they were cought up in the Parade. So dd my mom and I went over to watch it near Camp Minnie and Mickey. That parade was very fun and lively. When it was over we went over to the Lion King Show. It was 4:30pm by the time we got to the show and there were still plenty of seats. We all got in and got great seats. We called DH to wake up and come over to the show he was still ablt to get in around 4:35pm. The show was wonderful. The kids did not want to go up and dance at the end. After the show we left the park. My mom, BIl and family all left this day to go back home. So now it is just DH, DS's and DD and I until Sunday. We kept the wrist bankds on for Nickhotel so we could use the pool. I asked at customer service and they said it was ok.
Friday 8/17 Epcot: We slept in late today. I then took the kids over to play tennis,basketball, and the playground at our resort. We then left to go over to Epcot around 12pm. We had lunch downstairs in teh Land pavillion. The food was fresh. None wanted to ride Soarin again with the re entry tickets fron the other day. So I gave them out. We then rode Living with the Land whciwh was a 5 minute wait. That was nice and relaxing. We then over to TT to ride Tt with the re entry tickets from the other day. Even DD was belt to ride. Everyone liked this ride. Nobody wanted to ride MS again so I gave out the re entry tickets. We then went to WOrld Showcase. The kids did the kidcost masks for each country. I got a Fp for Mealstrom. We rode the Mexico boat ride again due to the request of my DD. After that wer rode Mealstrom. We worked our way through the worlk showcase. We saw The world players in Italy, and a story teller and candymaker in Japan. The candy maker lady said that she will make only one lollypop for each family. I knew that was going to be a tuff one with three kids. The kids chose a dragon. It looked very nice but as soon as she handed it to us the were all wanting it. So I took them away from the show and told them that we could either save it a souviner for everyone to share or iIwould divide it into three pieces . They decided that they wanted to eat it now so that I divided it into three pieces and they ate it. I had made ressies for the kids at Camp Dolphin and dinner at BlueZoo resteraunt for Dh and I. We took the friendship boat over to Dophin resort. Camp Dolhon will give the children two free hrs and free dinner with the receipt for SHulas, or BlueZoo. I told them when I made the ressies that my DD was 3 and they said that usually you had to be 4 but they will make exceptions if the child is mature and potty trained. That night they were haveing a High School Musical Premiere party. My son was very excited about that. Dinner at Blue Zoo was ok. The atmosphere is nice but the food was too complicated. They were trying to mix too many flavors. I got the softshell crab spaghetti and my DH got the whole Lobster. Both did not taste that great so we packed it to go thinking we might could eat it later when we are very hungry. We then took the boat back to Epcot and walked around a bit more than went to get the car to pick up the kids from Camp DOphin. When we picked up the kids the two little ones were knocked out and DS was laying down. He said he had a good time. we left to go back to our villa.
Saturday 8/18 P&PP: We had a late morning. Then I took to the kids over to NickHotel WaterPark and to play video games. We ate lunch there with the nick character walking around. They had fun. We went back to our villa to take a nap. We then headed back out to MK for the P&PP party around 4pm. We had 4pm ressies for LTT but we arrived at around 4:30pm. They sat us right away. The food was good but the character interation was even better than the food. DD wore her pink cinderella dress adn crown, DS's wore pirates of the caribbean t-shirts. They had Jack Sparrow costumes but didn't want to wear them. they did not even want to wear the pirate hat and eye patch I bought them. They would only ear the t shirt. After dinner it was around 5:30pm we started out at Adventureland. We rode Aldaddin which was walk on. We then rode Pirates which was about a 10 minute wait. We then did the Tree House and off to Jungle Curise which was about a 5 minute wait. The kids wanted to just sit and wait at the x spot in Frinteirland to wait until they started handing out the trueasues. We sat relaxed and waited until 7pm and were first in line for the treasues there. I saw CM showing non wrist band people out of the park. The boys loved the treaseu hunt idea. Their goal tonight was t hit all the x spots. We then went over to Frinteirland and rode ThunderMountains 3x in a row. It was walk on. Actually it was none on the ride but us at this time so we got to stay on. We then went over to Splash which was also empty, just us. Did that 1x and got soaked. We then went over see get treasues in Liberty Square. We sat and watched the parade which was the best parade I had ever seen. It was amazing. The parade characters were very serious but still gave my kdis attention. It was great. After the parade we went to Adventureland to the x spots, then over to Fantasyland. We got on Small World(my DD's favorite), and Pter Pan which were walk on. We then danced a bit at Arienls grotto dance party. We got the treasures in Fantasyland and then sat to watch the fireworks which were beautiful. We then headed over to tomorrowland. We walked onto the speedway. Then got the treasures in tomorrowland. We then danced at the dance party in tomorrowland. They kids were dancing so much and had such a great time. We did the electric clide, the cha cha slide and the twist as well just danced to other pop songs. We then say the breakdancing pirates. My husband wa picked to go up and dance with them and he stole the show because he was jsut as good as them. He had so much fun. We then went to ride Buzz which was walk on and rode it a couple of times. We then went to Monster Inc. It was only about 20 poeple on our show. So they picked on us to joke with as well picked our joke that we texed in. It was a funny show. This was our first time seeing it and my husband and I loved it. After this it was 12 midnight and the party was over. That was a great end to a wonderful family vacation. The P&PP was our best day. The park was almost empty and the rides were all walk on. It was like having the entire magic Kigndom to yourself. I hight recommend this party as a way to tour magic Kingdom. This was the best vacation we had had in along time and now we are home safely.

One thing I noticed was that all of the retun times seemed to be less than 1 hr after we got the fastpass. I thought that I read that it was at least a 1 hr retun time or more.
Thursay 8/16 Animal Kingdom: We had 8am ressies for Donold's Breakfast. We tried to get there in time but we arrived at 8:30am. They did not ask for a ticket wfor Dd when we went in. I see know if they see a child in a stroller or highchair they must assume that the child is free. LOL!! The seated us whithen 5 minutes of arrival. The breakfast was pretty good but the characters seemed rushed compared to the other character meals. We were out to tour the parks by around 9:30am. Again they did not chage for DD's meal. Dinoland was empty then. We first did the Dido Spin ride a couple of times while DH went to get Fp for EE. We then went to ride Dinosour whwich had a 10 minute wait time. DD was even able to ride but I got a child swap ticket just in case. They did check her height and she was ablt to ride. We loved that ride. We then went over to Asia and rode Kali which listed a 5 minute wait time. It was atually more like 15 minutes. DD was able to ride but they gave her band to sit a a special seat. We got soaked but it was fun!!!. We then went over to EE and met up with BIL and his family. My kids wanted to ride but thier cousins ages 7 and 9 did not want to ride. They measured DS and DD but DD did not make the cut and she was disappointed. They gave us a child swap ticket. They stamped Ds 4 hand with Yeti. My husband, BIL, my boys and I all rode it. It was great!! but nobody wanted to ride again with the re entry tickets so I gave them out. We then headed over to Africa to get FP for Safari. On the way to Africa we stopped at the Tree of Life to see a Bug's Life show. We had lunch at Tusker house whcih was good and then rode Safari. Eveyone enjoyed the Safari. After Africa we headed over to Camp Minnnie and Mickey to see the Lion King. We thought we were to late because it sais line up 45 minutes prior to show. So we sat around there in the shade and ate ice cream. By that time the next show was at 4:30pm. The boys went to walk around some more with thier AUnt and Uncle. My mom, DH, DD and I stayed in the shade at Camp Minnie nd Mickey we were going to meet up at 4pm in line. My Dh fell asleep on the bench and I took DD and mom to see Pochohantas. My SIL called around 4pm to say that they were cought up in the Parade. So dd my mom and I went over to watch it near Camp Minnie and Mickey. That parade was very fun and lively. When it was over we went over to the Lion King Show. It was 4:30pm by the time we got to the show and there were still plenty of seats. We all got in and got great seats. We called DH to wake up and come over to the show he was still ablt to get in around 4:35pm. The show was wonderful. The kids did not want to go up and dance at the end. After the show we left the park. My mom, BIl and family all left this day to go back home. So now it is just DH, DS's and DD and I until Sunday. We kept the wrist bankds on for Nickhotel so we could use the pool. I asked at customer service and they said it was ok.
Friday 8/17 Epcot: We slept in late today. I then took the kids over to play tennis,basketball, and the playground at our resort. We then left to go over to Epcot around 12pm. We had lunch downstairs in teh Land pavillion. The food was fresh. None wanted to ride Soarin again with the re entry tickets fron the other day. So I gave them out. We then rode Living with the Land whciwh was a 5 minute wait. That was nice and relaxing. We then over to TT to ride Tt with the re entry tickets from the other day. Even DD was belt to ride. Everyone liked this ride. Nobody wanted to ride MS again so I gave out the re entry tickets. We then went to WOrld Showcase. The kids did the kidcost masks for each country. I got a Fp for Mealstrom. We rode the Mexico boat ride again due to the request of my DD. After that wer rode Mealstrom. We worked our way through the worlk showcase. We saw The world players in Italy, and a story teller and candymaker in Japan. The candy maker lady said that she will make only one lollypop for each family. I knew that was going to be a tuff one with three kids. The kids chose a dragon. It looked very nice but as soon as she handed it to us the were all wanting it. So I took them away from the show and told them that we could either save it a souviner for everyone to share or iIwould divide it into three pieces . They decided that they wanted to eat it now so that I divided it into three pieces and they ate it. I had made ressies for the kids at Camp Dolphin and dinner at BlueZoo resteraunt for Dh and I. We took the friendship boat over to Dophin resort. Camp Dolhon will give the children two free hrs and free dinner with the receipt for SHulas, or BlueZoo. I told them when I made the ressies that my DD was 3 and they said that usually you had to be 4 but they will make exceptions if the child is mature and potty trained. That night they were haveing a High School Musical Premiere party. My son was very excited about that. Dinner at Blue Zoo was ok. The atmosphere is nice but the food was too complicated. They were trying to mix too many flavors. I got the softshell crab spaghetti and my DH got the whole Lobster. Both did not taste that great so we packed it to go thinking we might could eat it later when we are very hungry. We then took the boat back to Epcot and walked around a bit more than went to get the car to pick up the kids from Camp DOphin. When we picked up the kids the two little ones were knocked out and DS was laying down. He said he had a good time. we left to go back to our villa.
Saturday 8/18 P&PP: We had a late morning. Then I took to the kids over to NickHotel WaterPark and to play video games. We ate lunch there with the nick character walking around. They had fun. We went back to our villa to take a nap. We then headed back out to MK for the P&PP party around 4pm. We had 4pm ressies for LTT but we arrived at around 4:30pm. They sat us right away. The food was good but the character interation was even better than the food. DD wore her pink cinderella dress adn crown, DS's wore pirates of the caribbean t-shirts. They had Jack Sparrow costumes but didn't want to wear them. they did not even want to wear the pirate hat and eye patch I bought them. They would only ear the t shirt. After dinner it was around 5:30pm we started out at Adventureland. We rode Aldaddin which was walk on. We then rode Pirates which was about a 10 minute wait. We then did the Tree House and off to Jungle Curise which was about a 5 minute wait. The kids wanted to just sit and wait at the x spot in Frinteirland to wait until they started handing out the trueasues. We sat relaxed and waited until 7pm and were first in line for the treasues there. I saw CM showing non wrist band people out of the park. The boys loved the treaseu hunt idea. Their goal tonight was t hit all the x spots. We then went over to Frinteirland and rode ThunderMountains 3x in a row. It was walk on. Actually it was none on the ride but us at this time so we got to stay on. We then went over to Splash which was also empty, just us. Did that 1x and got soaked. We then went over see get treasues in Liberty Square. We sat and watched the parade which was the best parade I had ever seen. It was amazing. The parade characters were very serious but still gave my kdis attention. It was great. After the parade we went to Adventureland to the x spots, then over to Fantasyland. We got on Small World(my DD's favorite), and Pter Pan which were walk on. We then danced a bit at Arienls grotto dance party. We got the treasures in Fantasyland and then sat to watch the fireworks which were beautiful. We then headed over to tomorrowland. We walked onto the speedway. Then got the treasures in tomorrowland. We then danced at the dance party in tomorrowland. They kids were dancing so much and had such a great time. We did the electric clide, the cha cha slide and the twist as well just danced to other pop songs. We then say the breakdancing pirates. My husband wa picked to go up and dance with them and he stole the show because he was jsut as good as them. He had so much fun. We then went to ride Buzz which was walk on and rode it a couple of times. We then went to Monster Inc. It was only about 20 poeple on our show. So they picked on us to joke with as well picked our joke that we texed in. It was a funny show. This was our first time seeing it and my husband and I loved it. After this it was 12 midnight and the party was over. That was a great end to a wonderful family vacation. The P&PP was our best day. The park was almost empty and the rides were all walk on. It was like having the entire magic Kigndom to yourself. I hight recommend this party as a way to tour magic Kingdom. This was the best vacation we had had in along time and now we are home safely.
Every trip report makes me more excited for our vacation next month.
