okay, so i really wasnt sure where to put this, but I know that I will probably be flying in on sunday the 9th, because all in all it will be cheaper. that being said, i am going to need a hotel, and i wouldnt mind one close to wdw, just mostly not on the resort, since i want an affordable one. is there anyone else planning to do that? I know there is the meet and greet going on that night as well, but the flights i have looked at will be getting in late, so i dont think id make the dinner(but maybe the shopping at dtd?)

I might do something similar, but my check in date is August 12th. I'll probably arrive in the afternoon of August 11th, so I'll need a hotel too. Suggestions anyone? I'm going to be driving from El Paso.

There is a Holiday Inn right across the street from Vista, and it's pretty cheap too.

Since you're only staying one night, you might be able to find a cheap rate at one of the Downtown Disney hotels. My mom and I stayed at the Best Western there (and probably will again this time) for about 60-70 dollars. You'd be right down the road from the McDonald's at D.D. (you'd have to walk a bit, but it isn't a stretch at all) for dinner, as well. I don't know if that helps you any, but you might want to look into it.
