August 10, 2013 Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy

Hi Everyone we are first timers on the DCL, I'm bringing my 12 yr old son Willis on his very first cruise. He is so excited . I've been on other cruise ships but this is our first DCL. We are from Los Angeles.

We are from OC originally from LA. Welcome & looking forward to sharing this amazing adventure with your family. We are also 1st cruisers with DCL and never been on any others! We just got home from 14 hours at Disneyland and California adventure. Got my two 8 yr old boys all excited for the cruise now! Countdown begins for ya'll! My grandparents want to sign up for the FE. Their names are Diane and Jim. Their stateroom is a GTY so they don't have a cabin number yet, but Grandma has been practically stalking her mailman waiting for more Disney mail! I've never done GTY so I don't know too much about it, but does anyone have any guesses on when they will find out their assignment?

I am SUCH a SLACKER... I haven't even checked in online yet.. I really need to get on that..

GTY is a guarantee room. Usually you will find out a month out but it may change. They have the right to change your room at check in if they so desire. We are GTY this trip too so as soon as i have a cabin number i'll post it. It will show up online before you get it in the mail so get on it

Is there a deadline for the final FE list? I'm trying to put the finishing touches on the gifts and want to make sure I have enough .

Hey everybody! Just wanted to check in for this cruise. We will be leaving for our honeymoon to Disney on August 6th and then going on this cruise. I can't wait! My fiancee has only been to the Magic Kingdom when she was younger, and one trip involved the entire family getting sick. The other trip was with her childhood and it rained when they were there. I think I've read about or went to a Disney site every day since we booked the trip earlier this year.

I'm looking forward to meeting a bunch of people on the cruise as we party the week away!

How exciting to spend your honeymoon on the Disney Fantasy! I am sure your fiancee will love to spend time in the parks and on the cruise.

Hello! My family and I (Hubby, Daughter age 7 and Son age 4) are excited to be going on the Fantasy this summer on August 10th. This is our second Disney Cruise, as we cruised last year on the Magic from NYC to Canada. It is special because this is our 10 year Anniversary. We are excited to get to know others and enjoy cruising with all of you! I'm sort of interested in hearing more about the Fish Extenders, as we didn't know about them on our first cruise.

Information about the Fish Extenders is in my first post, just be aware, if you decide to sign up, to do so before June 30th, as this is the date when we close sign up for it.

Hi - So we are traveling with our daughter (7) and son (4) and we noticed that a lot of the excursions are 5yrs +. We were wondering what are some good kid friendly excursions to do with the whole family and if they are really strict on the 5 year old cut off.

They do check ages. They will have your birthdates on file and you will only be able to sign up the ones that are old enough.
I have no experience on how strict they are with excursion ages though.

Hello everyone, my family and I will be making this our second Disney cruise. My DD was only 8 months old the last time, so she is really excited for a Disney cruise she can remember, LOL. My eldest won't be with us this time, but the rest of us can hardly wait!

You are going to love DCL. They really know how to make your experience outstanding.
I will gladly add you to the FE exchange. We have decided to divide into groups of "about" 50 participants. If you want to do more than one group (at the moment it looks more like 3) please let me know before the cut off date of June 30th.

And please let me know your stateroom number as soon as you know it.

There is NO better place to celebrate your anniversary than a Disney cruise ship.
Like you, Tom and I are veterans to Disney parks (WDW, DL, DLRP) and have been know to hold APs to all of them at the same time, but now cruising (with DCL ) has taken up a huge chunk of our summer vacation.

Since 2009 we have been on 10 cruises, so if you have any questions, just ask.
Best tip I have learned - read your personal Navigator VERY carefully. There are lots of activities to be found.

Okay, now going to put you on the lists in my first post!
And thanks for all the info - that's all I need for the FE!

My husband and I are also celebrating 18 years of marriage while on this cruise. I hope it is not a bother, but could we be placed on the same list as tweedspirit4? They are our cousins who are also cruising with Disney for the first time and we thought it would be fun to travel around the ship with them.
