My original plan called for us to do EE at MK today.... But since DD and I had already done a few things there, and we had been to e-night last night, I decided we should head to MGM.
I called first thing to see about a p/s at Hollywood & Vine character breakfast. The earliest they had was 10:30 - so I took it and we were on our way, we got there about 9:30 and we were seated right away. We really enjoyed this breakfast alot, I especially liked the chocolate french toast. The characters were fun, and full of hugs for DD
While we were there we did Muppet 3-D, I had seen it at California Adventure a few months ago and though DD would like it - She Did, and over the next few days would quote Mr. 3-D "everone in the audiance thinks I'm talking to them, but I'm really talking to YOUUUUUUUUUUU!" She just really loved that part.
We also saw the Beauty and the Beast show...which was really good, and looked around a bit. DD bought an Ariel doll, and DH got a tank top. Nothing for me as usual.
I remembered the swim gear today so we decided to go to Typhoon Lagoon. It was about 1pm and I got lucky with a parking spot right on the first row near the entrance....Went in got a locker and towels, and changed and jumped right in the lazy river... We were in paradise. DH kept asking why we hadn't done this before..... after about 2 times around we got out of the river and did the family raft ride and one of the Falls, had a burger and headed back to the Polynesian, So DH could have his nap... While DH rested, DD played with her new Ariel doll, I did the laundry and started packing a bit - this was to be our last night at WDW.
I told DH that they were having a parade over at the MK and fireworks, he said "let's go" so about 7:00 we headed to TTC to ride the Ferry to MK.
As we walked down Main Street we saw people already claming places for the 8:00 parade. We stopped off at Peter Pan to get FP- The only thing DD wanted to do tonight was ride Peter Pan with her Dad - Since he was born in London she was sure he would love the ride. We then headed to check out Toon Town. It was quite crowded so DD went to play in Donalds Boat. DH and I sat on a bench outside. After she had been in there a couple of minutes we heard a LOUD clap of thunder, alot of the kids and parents were scared and kids were running in every direction....DD didn't get scared at all, but soon the sky started falling!....Toon Town empted out very quick.. DH and I went in side the Boat with DD, there were about 5-6 others in there with us... Pretty soon though the train stopped and everyone who could joined us in the Boat.... It was really a sight.. It rain for quite a while, and soon someone was handing out plastic bags from the gift shops.... I guess the shop may have run out of ponchos, and felt sorry for everyone. I had carried ponchos around with us the whole time EXCEPT for today... wouldn't you know. So here we are all crammed into Donalds Boat, and all the people are putting on these bags... They weren't very big, They worked pretty good for the kids, but did nothing to keep feet dry. and I had to laugh when I saw a couple of grown men make the bags into a head wrap.... I mean these guys had pretty short hair and I couldn't figure out why the would just cover the hair... Funny.. So the boat slowly cleared out and the rain started to let up... DD ran out side to play in the rain, Which is what we do at home since we get so little of it. She was pretty soaked. Finally it quite raining, so we headed back towards Peter Pan. We were kinda Hungry so we went to Pinnoccio's place, it was freezeing in side, and DD was very uncomfortable, so ran over to a gift shop and bought her a new full length tinkerbell nighty.... She couldn't belive I was making her put on PJ's at the MK... But it was dark out side, and no one would notice. We then rode Peter Pan, and then headed to the exit.
When we got to the castle area we stopped to enjoy the fireworks, and then caught the monorail to the Polynesian. I had heard so much about the deserts at the Kona cafe but hadn't had a chance to get one, so I walked over, They were just closing, but I asked the CM at the podium if I could get one to take to the room, she was very nice and said sure.... I got the Chocolate thing with the warm chocolate sauce in the middle.... DH and I ate it after DD went to sleep... I was wonderful, and a great way too end the day!
This was our last night at the World, Tomorrow we were going on the Disney Wonder for a 4 night cruise.... as excited as I was to be going on the cruise, it was sad to be leaving the Polynesian.... There were so many things we hadn't done yet.... but a good excuse to come back.... hopefully soon.
Sunday Morning we had breakfast at the Kona Cafe... DH loved the plance and asked why we hadn't been there before. I had the Tonga Toast of couse... DH had Oatmeal, and DD Mickey pancakes... It was very good....
In Summary: This part of of the trip had been a success. We had all had a great time. We didn't over do it, and tried to hit the high points, DH thought I had done a great job planning the vacation so far. Although we didn't stick to "THE PLAN" I was pleased that DH was happy.
I will post the Cruise portion of our trip on the cruise board, and then be back to post our finally 2 days that were basically unplanned, here. (DH thought we should come back to the World for the last 2 days YEAHHHH!)
