I like the character on the outside!!! it's cute and different! glad V made you do it!
Congrats on learning cool stuff on the machine. It's awesome as usual.
I LOVE LOVE the villain photo's!!!! Never did
MNSSHP so i am totally excited for it next year!!!!
LOL... I do think it turned out cute, but I dont' know that I would ever do it again.
Love MNSSHP!!! It's the best!
I just stopped by to say hi. We have been crazy here since my kids went back to school today. (is that mean?). Things have been hectic with Open Houses and getting all the supplies today plus the anxiety of starting a new school year. Since it is a short week we should be able to work our way into the new schedule.
Hopefully you are able to adjust to your new schedule... I cannot believe you are back in school already!
I forgot to reply about this from one of your previous posts but I wanted to say congratulations on getting fit and losing weight for your trip.
Thank you - it's been a work in progress...
Enjoying the pictures from MNSSHP, especially the ones with the villians.
I love Victoria's pillowcase. Nothing like a last minute project. I think using the existing pillowcase was a great idea and I love the marker pouch (sorry I have to side with V on this one because that fabric is just too cute for a lining). The embroidery looks really nice, glad you are figuring it out.
Thanks! I am getting there - I think I need to use more stabilizer though...
Good luck to V on her babysitting gig. 5 kids overnight (just kidding). I know she will be fine and of course all that souvenir money is a big bonus.
Tell me about it... I did have to LOL though - because the mom called me to make sure I would be home that day and night, just in case.
Glad to see you got package. I'm happy to hear you and the girls are enjoying your Pixie Dust. They were fun to make. No worries about the pictures (I know time is a limited commodity these days). Knowing that the girls are getting super excited for your trip is making me smile. As long as they don't come up with any more projects for you.
Have fun this weekend.
Crap!!! I forgot to take pictures again last night... Grrrr... I keep getting busy. I will get them done and posted asap. We still love everything and cannot wait to use it!
Love the pillowcase and bag!
Thanks Kathy - I think they turned out pretty cute - I know V is very happy with them.
Fabulous job on this. I love the little bag I wish I wasn't scared of zippers.
The dangles are so cool. I should make one for on Js backpack.
Thanks! I bet if you tried zippers, you would find that they aren't as hard as you think they are.
And, yes - you should make some danglers for J's backpack!
Love the marker case. In this case I love the character fabric on the outside too. The writing on the pillow case & fabric edging is awesome!
The villian photos look like great fun!
The bag tags are adorable, can't wait to see the rest
Thank you! I am overall happy with them.
The pillowcase is just so fun! I love that fabric! Great idea
Single Digits for me today!!! You are right around the corner
Love the Villian pics....that is teh ONLY reason I want to go for Halloween...to see all the Villians. Maybe once Bradey is older and isn't scared of them....or a girls trip
Yay for single digits! Super excited!!!
Oh, I'm so glad you got that JC bag done for yourself! It is just fabulous! You are going to make it through your list after all. Sooo happy for you! And that marker bag you just "whipped" together. I should be so skilled!
Hi Lois!!! Thanks for checking in! I hope I finish everything! I still have to finish up my custom order for the week... Then I have to start my auction bag, and then my final trip bag... We leave today for the weekend - so I will lose 3 days right there...
Loving the pictures from the last several days. I am in Virginia, helping my DD before the arrival of her 4th baby. I'm having a blast. I had a ton of activities planned for the 3 weeks I'm here and so far the kids are all loving them. They are 6, 4, and almost 2, so they are simple for the 2 year old with a few things thrown in to challenge the 6 year old. I don't think DD will make it to her due date...but we'll see.
Awww... It sounds like you are having a great time! It sounds like the kids are enjoying you being there too - and I am sure dd is relieved to have you there to help.
The kids are watching Lady and the Tramp right now, so I thought I'd take this chance to sneak onto the DIS. When I get a chance, I'll try to keep up. You and the girls will be on your trip before I get home. Hard to believe it's THAT CLOSE!! You are doing great with completing everything. All that and BTS prep. WHEW! Good for you!
Prayers for Kat!
Yes, we are that close - it's a little scary... Thanks for stopping by - I hope you can check in once in a while... prayers go out to dd for a safe and healthy delivery...
MNSSHP is the Best!! I'm so glad our annual trips always coincide with it. (I'm a huge villain fan too)
Couldn't agree more~!
Lovely pouch and pillowcase & I'm with Mo; good for V for getting you to do the character fabric on the outside.
Thank you - LOL.
LOL about building anticipation...it's that that exciting, I promise. I may actually have to re-do it, depending on how perfectionist I get - I put something in an unusual spot and have to decide if it's going to really bother me.
Update for DH's knee - he has a torn meniscus and will have to get it scoped.
Prayers for Kat and all.
I cannot wait to see what you are making!! YOu'll probably reveal it in 12 days - and I won't get to see it.
Yikes on DH's knee... That happened to Josh a few years back - he had surgery and was back to himself in a matter of days - hasn't had any problems since. I hope your DH heals quickly.
I love the danglers! Can't wait to see the rest of them. I'm thinking I need to make a couple for my bags.
Thank you ! We love them! They are so much fun and I am so happy that Liz sent them to us. I encourage you to make a few.
The mickey fabric on the pillowcase is fantastic. I'm also glad V talked you into using it on the outside of the marker case. It looks great.
Thank you!
Kat update - after putting her under general anesthesia, and inserting the scope, they still could not find the PFO. They tried several times and then determined that there is no PFO and never has been. They are not sure where the clot that caused the stroke came from (maybe from the bleeding colon -DUH), but it wasn't from a hole in her heart. She is doing well, considering. She will have to be on blood thinners for a long time to come. Still waiting to hear if she will be moving into the Wounded Warrior housing at Walter Reed or staying on convelscent leave and staying with her Dad.
Sorry I didn't get here earlier to post, but I was at a seminar all day and not near a computer.
Thank you for the update... Wow - all of this preperation and anticpation with nothing to be found. I feel so badly for Kat... Many, many prayers going out to her and the rest of the family... I hope they are able to find the answers.

I worked on my custom order yesterday... I still have a bit to do before I can mail it out. Unfortunately - that won't happen today...
The girls and I are headed out this morning for the weekend... It's the town festival weekend in my home town - we try to go every year, and the girls go every year when they stay with their aunt Tonya - but I have missed the last 2 years.... So, I am way over due for a trip home.

I am looking forward to catching up with lots of family and old friends. It should be a good time.

This is something we look forward to every summer...
I love seeing the girls enjoy their friends from my home town, over the years they have made many - and they stay in touch. When they talk about their friends - I find myself asking who their parents are... And then I have a bit of regret that we didn't raise the girls there - as they fit in so well and it's where all of my roots are. But - you have to go where the $$ is, and for us - it isn't there... Sigh.
So - I need to get off the computer this morning, work out and get packed... I hope to be on the road at a decent hour.
Then - once we get home... It's full-on Disney packing and excitement time!!! WHOOT!

I will leave you with a few photos... IMHO... There is nothing better than an early morning (before the park opens) breakfast at Crystal Palace.
I hope you all have a marvelous weekend... Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone... I will try to check in when I can - but I won't have computer access, so I won't be able to do replies.
