~Aug 2013~ Sew what~We've gotta find a way back-Part II- TR link posted - 8/31

The Tangled bag is phenomenal!

So we did it we are suing 1 extra day and just have to work extra hard when I e home.

So I haven't replied lately, but have been catching up. So I need to reply on 4 bags!!! Love all of them! I love Rapunzel, especially with her short hair. Love the colors of Ursula, but I am not one who would ever own Villian stuff. Really love Mickey and Pluto!! And absolutely love the Up bag!! I have been debating about making a bag, but wanted a different style, so I wouldn't be a copycat. So I really like the Lesportsac hobo bag and had been trying to figure out how to make it. Then you post your Up bag, and it is just perfect. One day I hope to make my bag, as I have had my fabric for awhile, just scared to start.

Can't believe you are at 29 days!! You should've seen my box. I ended up packing about 1/4 of the Disney stuff I had and it was still too much. I am a terrible packer, but getting better.

Hope you get to make your own bags soon!!!!

Ladylyons....congrats on the little addition!!!!

Glad to hear Kat is doing better, hope she continues to get rehab.

Hope everyone else has brighter days ahead!

Good luck with your bag.

Thank you for liking my lists unfortunately not much has gotten done on it. I was side tracked by dusting and purging. I hate clutter and it was building up.

Off to work on a thing or two this morning since Sami is napping with G and the other kids are in the living room. J with his iPad and C reading.

I hope you were able to get lots accomplished yesterday.

I always think if a huge reply I've been working on disappears when I try to post it, it means I was being too chatty. Since that just happened to me, I just simply say:

To Sandy: CONGRATULATIONS!!! So very happy for you.

To D~ Start having regular date nights with Josh and the awkwardness will go away. Your girls aren't going anywhere for quite a while, so continue to enjoy them and keep making those special memories. Also, great job of savings IMHO!

See, I can be brief if I put my mind to it.

Oh, and so glad Kat is progressing!

Happy Sunday everyone.

LOL - Yes - that is for sure something we need to work on and do more of. :thumbsup2

Love it!!!!

Thank you!

I adore the Rapunzel Bag. I love her with the short hair. The Mickey Head Pascal is great too.

Thank you!

What a great story and so cool that you have the photos to go along with it. I was looking at our photos from our first trip in the hopes of being able to put them into a photobook but I barely have any pictures. At least we have video, because the kids love to watch the trip to Disney "when Curtis had no hair" (he was one).

I remember when I developed the rolls of film from our 2003 trip... It was insane! I believe it was (only) 14 rolls - but it cost me over $200. I remember telling myself at that point, on our next trip, film developing was going into the budget. Thankfully - in the interim, digital came about and I didn't have to worry about it.

I just talked to my kids about pin trading. Casey has done it in the past and liked it. Curtis have never done it but I think he will enjoy it. They each have 10 pins they can trade. Do you think we should get more for trading?

Personally - I would bring more... But that's just me. I am certain you would be just fine with 10. We usually bring 5-7 traders into the park per day per person... Then when we get back to the resort that night, we take off our "keepers" and add more traders. Last year, I believe we brought with 70+ pins, and that wasn't quite enough. We ended up going through our "keepers" over the last few days to get more traders. This time, We went through those keepers again, and only kept the ones we really, really wanted, and we are bringing the others back to trade. Plus I went out and purchased a few extras to trade too... I am hoping to get a few more before we leave.

Congratulations! How exciting. I hope you are feeling well.
D~ Congratulations on having your trip all paid and all your GCs for your OOP expenses.
I didn't comment yet but the Ursala bag is gorgeous. The "necklace" lanyard wallet was a great idea. The Rapunzel bag is so pretty. How cool that the owner plays Rapunzel too. Just curious if you picked your Fairy Frost fabric out in person because the shades are so close but look perfect.

Thanks! Actually - I did not pick out the FF in person... I guessed online and I got very lucky. :thumbsup2

Hope you and Josh enjoyed your weekend home alone. Your night out sounds like fun. Hope you enjoy your day today. I guess Alli was missing Victoria too. How sweet of her friend's mom to write that note about V. You must be so proud. Victoria is lucky to have such a great friendship at her age.

Good luck with all your packing but I think you better put in a few outfits....

Thanks! Yes, we did have a nice weekend, but it was nice to get the girls home too.

I will try to throw in some sort out outfit to cover myself. :rotfl2:

LOVE the Fairy Frost! Don't you just love how it sews?
Love the bag!
Gotta Run...

Nini

I do love how it sews... It is such a beautiful fabric. I love how it makes my bags look elegant when I use it... It's so much prettier in person though.

That Rapunzel Bag is, as always, fabulous. She's probably my favorite princess as well.

Well, the pictures aren't exactly of a tower of stuff, but as you noted: you're still going to be walking around in your birthday suit. There's a little room in there, so maybe you can get your bathing suit and a pair of shorts. or some of those tanks you were buying one a day there for a while.

I sure hope so! I plan on rolling all of my clothes this time - they say you can fit more? :scratchin

Thank heavens for good new on the Dis: less than 30 days for D~, Ladylyons adds another to her brood, Kat's in outpatient PT. Because my BIL is actually seeming to respond now that he's off LS, but the paperwork has been signed and . . .with the XSIL in charge it's not likely to change. Oh - and my mom has broken her knee. Good news there is her pain killers make her happy (she has a history of anxiety) and it's a clean break so her DR thinks it should be good with either wires or screws. And DH, who already has had a knee replacement (shattered it when he was 18) has been having issues with it and his DR thinks there's bone fragments under the kneecap.

So I will live a little vicariously through you all and count the days until I get a day off. Oh wait, I forgot...that's my first day of therapy for my shoulder and Mom's surgery.

Oh Ruth - I am so very sorry... When it rains, it pours. Sending many hugs, thoughts and prayers your way - for you and DH and his family.

I just love this bag and the story that goes along with it.
OOOh I absolutely Love this bag Great job!!!!!

Thank you! :thumbsup2

Did I mention how much I love this bag? Dd (little one) saw it and got all excited and said. BID ON IT MOMMY. (That is how I know she really wants something, I become mommy again). She was very sad to hear it was not up for bid. She said I should have youse her a custom one. IF only it were that easy! She is young and so so naive. Seems like just a few months ago I was that naive. Oh wait it was only a few months ago. A time so innocent before I knew about D~ bags ( sorry it is a term of endearment . I promise).

Hahaha... LOL I can't wait to meet your littlest dd. :lovestruc

I wish I didn't have to deal with morning sickness!! I'll take tired over being sick anytime!! When I was pregnant with Sarah I was almost hospitalized due to not being able to hold anything down for about a week and I lost 10 lbs in that time. They gave me an ultimatum either keep some water down in the next 24 hours or your being admitted!! :scared1: Well I couldn't be admitted seeing as I had a 1 year old at home that I had to be there for. Needless to say I was finally able to start holding down sips of water through out the day and they didn't admit me. It was hard but we managed.

Yikes!!! So glad you were able to get through it with out being admitted. Hopefully this time is much better for you.

The Rapunzel bag is beautiful!!! I also love her with her short hair. Last time we saw her Sarah asked her how come her hair was long again and Rapunzel told her it was because her hair still had a little bit of magic left and let it grow again. Sarah was good with that answer thank goodness!!

Thank you! LOL That's a great answer!

Yeah for having all your GC's. Now good luck getting it all into your suitcases. You've got what 29 days to figure it out?

LOL - Yup... I may have to ship a box yet... :scratchin

HA HA HA
Short V and Tall V -- I love it! The funny is thing is My V thinks she should be #1 and D's V #2 she doesn't get the fact that sheis younger and therefore is #2. Ha a

Hahaha... :lovestruc

The Tangled bag is phenomenal!

So we did it we are suing 1 extra day and just have to work extra hard when I e home.

Thank you! Enjoy your extra day!!!

Then you post your Up bag, and it is just perfect. One day I hope to make my bag, as I have had my fabric for awhile, just scared to start.

Hey stranger!!! Great to see you!!! You'll do great making a bag, I just know it. ::yes:: I can't wait to see when you finish!

Can't believe you are at 29 days!! You should've seen my box. I ended up packing about 1/4 of the Disney stuff I had and it was still too much. I am a terrible packer, but getting better.

I can't believe it either... I was laying in bed this morning - freaking out... I really don't know how I am going to get everything done.

Hope you get to make your own bags soon!!!!

Me too! LOL

Ladylyons....congrats on the little addition!!!!

Glad to hear Kat is doing better, hope she continues to get rehab.

Hope everyone else has brighter days ahead!

Thanks!!! It's great to see you - thanks for checking in! :lovestruc

OK - so yesterday we left a little early... First we picked Alli up at my bff's house... Then we went to meet V and her bff's family for lunch. I was so happy to see V again - we missed her so much! And it was great seeing her bff and family too... We all had a very nice lunch together and we all agreed that we need to do it more frequently. :lovestruc It had been way too long.

Afterwards... Josh and I decided to do some shoe shopping. :woohoo: You all know how I feel about that. Josh wanted a new pair for himself - and I wanted to try (again) to find some flip flops for the girls for our trip... Yah - shoe shopping for the girls with Josh in tow isn't exactly a fun experience. After ONE store - I called it quits and decided to take the girls myself another day. Not sure when... but... It will be during the week, when Josh is at work. And let me just add... Shoe shopping with my girls is NOT a pleasant experience for me either... They may just have to deal with whatever they have.

Once we came home, I decided to try my hand at making a "bleach shirt" - I got the idea from Terri's PTR Not sure I can find the exact post in there - as her thread is quite long already, but it's a good read, so I encourage you to go check it out... She is VERY crafty and has some FABULOUS ideas! Anyways... Back to my bleach shirt... It didn't go so well... :confused3 I will try to post pictures later today - if I can find the time.

In trip planning news...

Today is another big day...

My next door neighbor and I are going up to the base to get my military ID renewed. And why does this partain to my trip? Well, I booked under the Military discount - so I assume I will need to show a valid Military Id upon check in?

Afterwards, we are going out for lunch and having our nails done. This is not something I normally do - but she asked if I wanted to... We have done it a few times in the past and we always have fun. Personally - I would rather be thrifty and wait to have my nails done in 4 weeks (exactly) - but I guess I can splurge and have them done twice. ::yes:: I will think of this as a trial run.

OK - I really need to lament over everything I still need to do for our trip... This is mostly for my benefit, maybe writing it down will help me sort it out?

1. I have to finish V's bag. I was able to get her front applique cut out and ready to stitch yesterday. I plan to start stitching that this week, once I hit certain benchmarks every day on my custom order. I have no custom orders next week - so I hope to finish V's bag on the beginning side of next week.

2. I have to finish my first bag. This bag is TOTALLY done - all I have to do is draw/cut/piece/stitch the applique and assemble everything. I hope to have this finished over the end of next week and weekend.

3. My second bag. I know the theme. I have not started anything on this. I hope to begin working on this the following week are you keeping track? At this point, we will be 2 weeks out from our trip. I have a custom order this week... So I will be working on my bag on the side of my custom order, this is my last custom order before we leave on our trip.

4. Potentially, my third bag... I am tossing around and trying to decide between 2 different bags. The one I am leaning towards should be relatively simple, with an "easy" applique.

5. Auction item... Yes, I even have to fit another auction in there. Now that I look at the above list, I am not sure I will have the time for a full bag set.... I have a brilliant idea for it, but I may have to resort to just doing a simple auction in August - as much as I would love to have the extra spending $$ at WDW. It will depend greatly on when I start/finish my second bag, and if I am in the mood to do a 3rd bag for myself or if I just decide to do an auciton bag instead.

Crazy, I know... But, like I feared - I am running out of time.

^^^ And, if you managed to read all of my rambling above - thank you. :lovestruc

Have a wonderful day everyone - Prayers and good thoughts going out to everyone today!

D~

I love the Rapunzel bag!!!

can you believe your trip is just around the corner?! So exciting!

Great job on the Rapunzel bag! I know your customer will absolutely love it!

I'm glad the girls are back home. Sorry the shoe shopping was less than ideal.

You DO have so much on your plate right now. I don't know how you stay sane. But if I know you, you will get everything done just as you planned. I hope you are not so behind that you aren't excited about how close your trip is. I can see your departure date looming as a threat, rather than as something to look forward to. At any rate, once you get on the plane, everything will be right with your world and you can finally relax.

I also hope you have time to see Monsters U. I really liked it. Dan and I celebrated our anniversary by going to see two movies and then for a bite to eat twice and then miniature golf. We usually go to some fancy restaurant and I told him I would rather just go out and have lots of fun. It rained the first part of the day, hence the two movies. We saw Red 2 and the Lone Ranger. LOVED Red 2!!

Hoping you get lots done in the sewing room today! You are so very talented!

Wow... Yesterday was a super slow day around here - only 2 replies this morning... :woohoo: It probably doesn't mean I will talk less though. LOL

I love the Rapunzel bag!!!

can you believe your trip is just around the corner?! So exciting!

Thanks Mo! No - I cannot believe it... I am a bit freaked out about it actually... :rolleyes1

Great job on the Rapunzel bag! I know your customer will absolutely love it!

Thank you Lois!

I'm glad the girls are back home. Sorry the shoe shopping was less than ideal.

Me too... Yes, "less than ideal" is a very nice way to put it. LOL

You are very right... I really need to focus on being excited for our trip - rather than everything I need to finish. Once I finish these last custom orders - I know I will be able to relax a little more about it... I just feel like I have been going constantly for months - I know I had our vacation to the lake in there and my time off when Suzi and Mo came... but other than that - I've been putting in 60 hour weeks every week, and I am really starting to get tired. I will be very happy to go back to my normal schedule after the trip. :wizard:

We will MAKE time to see Monster's U... But not until I finish V's bag and my first bag...

So glad you had a wonderful day with Dan... It just sounds marvelous - and I love it! It's my kind of day - to be honest. :lovestruc

**********************************************************

I am so trip focused these days, I feel that hardly a day goes by where I am not doing something trip related.

Yesterday morning, my next door neighbor and I went to get my military id renewed... It now has an expiration of 5 years out - WHOOT!!! And this is awesome because I booked with the military discount... This is one thing I was very worried about forgetting about - so relieved to have it done... Since I rarely ever use it in real life, I should really pack it now.

After renewing my military id... we went to have our nails done... I did gel nails this time with lime/neon green tips... They are fun! I really love this place, I finally had someone who spoke really good English (I have such a hard time with accents)... I have confidence, if I bring in a photo - that we will get some awesome Disney nails this time. So, the Sunday before we leave, the girls, my neighbor, her dd and I are all going to get our nails done. :wizard: Super excited about this!

We also stopped at Maurices... I purchased 2 more pairs of shorts for myself for our trip... I was a bit nervous because all I had were bermuda shorts - and I was worried that they would be too hot. I don't like short shorts either - so I found 2 pair that were a bit longer inseam, but not too long (about 4")... And they were on a good sale. :wizard:

Then we went out for lunch... My diet is totally trashed after this weekend... Back on it today and GOOD for the remainder of the week.

Yesterday, I managed to come home and work on V's applique for a while - then after dinner, Josh had a meeting to go to, so I worked on it again - and I knocked out most of it. :woohoo: I really hope I can finish it later today, and start on her other applique tomorrow. That would be a HUGE relief to me to have it done by the end of the weekend.

**********************************************************

Today... First thing, my TA is planning to order our park tickets. :woohoo: That will be such a relief to finally have those too!

I will be working on quilting my custom order most of today, then this afternoon, I will switch to V's bag.

D~

Good luck with everything, you reminded me I need to get some shorts.

I am excited to see your bag for V.

I am working on a launch dress today but finished Sami's Duffy dress that I will post on my PTR later.

D, the Rapunzel bag is awesome! Great job! I also loved the Ursula bag! Well done as always!

I am feeling the crunch of things to do before our trip and need to get on it! I was hoping to find another pair or two of shorts, but for some reason there seem to be no shorts available. Plus I need maternity ones. Ugh. I found a pair in my maternity clothes bin that I'd just tucked away as a friend had given them to me so I am glad to at least have one more pair. I need to take stock and probably scour the earth for another pair or two. Not to mention that I need to make some shirts for us, finish planning outfits for the family, the pesky packing, etc.

All your vintage photos are so fun! It's neat to see how grown up the girls are now. Glad V had fun, but also glad she's home.

Someone asked about Lilo & Stitch greeting at DAK and they no longer greet there. Stitch greets in Tomorrowland, but the only place to see them together now is at O'hana. We were a little disappointed to learn this in December so we scheduled breakfast at O'hana this trip!

Ok, just stop for a minute and take a deep breath, and slowly let it out. You will get V's bag finished, your customs and your bags done. Don't stress - that's an order.

Hi D, Love the Tangled bag!! I have a question for you about the military tickets. My Dad is a retired Marine and is not the biggest fan of Disney because of all the walking etc. If he bought our family tickets, does he have to be there for us to get into the park? Also, did you see that Disney just extended the military discount to September 2014??? All of your creations are so incredible!! I am so envious of your talent. You will get everything done! Please thank Josh for his service to our country and thank you too!!!

The Tangled bag is really cute. Good luck shoe shopping with your girls. You need to stop and relax a little bit enough though you've so much to do. I'm still in denial that my trip's about amonth and a half to do. Can't wait to see what V's bag looks like. I have to get ready for work , now.
Liz

Don't worry about the diet. My dr said to shoot for 80/20, meaning eat right 80% of the time. Of course when you're at Disney all bets are off!!! i'm sure you'll get right back in the groove this week.

Speaking of Stitch, April 2012, we randomly found him outside of Epcot. Daisy was there and a few feet away was Stitch all by himself. Our DGD didn't know who he was, but she posed with him anyway. She loved ALL the characters! Don't know if this is something that happens, regularly, but it was neat to stumble across them. There was no line or anything. I actually felt kind of sorry for them both.

Love today's photos. Especially 50s Prime Time. That is one of my favorite places to eat. The joy on the girls faces is so special. Brings a smile to my face.

Yay for renewing your military ID. That would be a detail that could easily be overlooked! Put it in your suitcase NOW! Good luck with your sewing today. Can't wait to see V's bag!

Hey D~, thanks for the response about the pins. I was thinking we would need more then the 10 each the kids said they needed for trading. So I guess I will be shopping :rotfl:

I can't believe you were able to get the perfect FF from an online picture. I know they have so many colors and slightly different shades so I'm glad those worked for you. I bet you have a collection at this point for reference!

Glad to hear the girls are home and V had a fun time. Yeah for getting your military ID updated and for getting your tickets ordered. I hope you get to finish all your bags, of course we always run out of time for our stuff. I have a bag I started for our Universal trip that I still need to finish. I made it generic with Disney colors but no applique so I could use it for both trips. I'm glad I didn't make it custom for Universal since I never finished it. :rotfl2: I have been spending all my time making pictures that I am going to put in the kid's autograph books.

I have a tip on the pins. Before we go, I check Ebay and buy some for our kids to trade. The pins I bought were all official Disney pins. Some people sell lots. The best I have ever done was $16 for 25 pins. Just make sure to check the seller's feedback rating.

Love short hair Rapunzel! And Pascal is one of my favorite personalities ever!!!

So, did you cancel the LTT ADR on arrival day?? Or are you just thinking about it?

I will be trying to keep up from my phone during breaks in my class...so I won't be comenting much, but just know I am here are reading along :)

Well, I didn't get a chance to stop by yesterday because of work being a complete mess.

Today was my mom's knee surgery & it went well, she got 2 pins and her knee is wired, but when I went to visit her she was pretty much back to her normal self. They're keeping her over night (she is 79 after all)

I started getting my stamina up for WDW today after starting Physical Therapy for my shoulder. We have a nice little park with a Man made lake, 15 minutes to walk around and I made a complete circuit. May not sound like much, but it's a good start. With my work schedule, as much as I'll need the exercise, I may not be able to due to work issues.

Actually having the ID is probably a good idea for the ordered discount. ;)

On my trip planning note: we added a day!! We were going through our plans and realized they seemed abrupt and with the way our summer is going...we thought we deserved a little extra rest. We already had the time off from work.

Hoping you don't stress to much with what you want to get done vs what you will get done.

Hey D~. You'll get it all done. And what you don't there is always next trip!
Not sur what I commented on last. Using the phone to respond frustrates me.
Thank you for pointing out the Delsol shirts. Do you find the girls/woman sizes run small? The guys seem okay to me though.
Hope you got a lot done today . Looking forward to seeing the next bag.
Btw, I finally put the Minnie camera strap on. Love it! Only problem is ... I can't take a picture of my camera in it. Lol

Good luck with everything, you reminded me I need to get some shorts.

I am excited to see your bag for V.

I am working on a launch dress today but finished Sami's Duffy dress that I will post on my PTR later.

Yay... I hope I didn't miss it - off to check...

Working hard on V's bag... Slowly but surely...

D, the Rapunzel bag is awesome! Great job! I also loved the Ursula bag! Well done as always!

UGH!!! That is such a bummer about the shorts - I sure hope you are able to find something! With the selection that was left at the store when we went the other day - I have a feeling I waiting too long as it is. I would have liked to have found more than 2 pairs - but I think I will go through my "bin" to see if there is anything else in there that may fit me... I can always cut off a pair of jeans too. Do you have anyone that could add a maternity panel to a pair of old jeans/shorts???

KERMIES!!!! KERMIES EVERYWHERE!!!!

I love them!!!

Hahaha... We love you Mo!!!!

Ok, just stop for a minute and take a deep breath, and slowly let it out. You will get V's bag finished, your customs and your bags done. Don't stress - that's an order.

I am trying soooo hard to relax... I am getting there - trust me. Once I get this custom order done - I have all of next week off to work on our items... If I can get V's bag done in that time, and my one bag - I will be a lot less anxious about it all.

Hi D, Love the Tangled bag!! I have a question for you about the military tickets. My Dad is a retired Marine and is not the biggest fan of Disney because of all the walking etc. If he bought our family tickets, does he have to be there for us to get into the park? As I understand it - and someone else can correct me if I am wrong. The military member can get up to 6 tickets. However, that 6th ticket MUST be used by the military member, so he can get your family 5 tickets... but... the part I am not sure about.... I think someone with an military ID card must be present to validate the tickets (or something like that - I know that some bases give out vouchers that you then have to turn in to get tickets)... I would definately post this over on the main board... Or - I know that NINI has used the military tickets in the past... Maybe she can answer this for you?

The Tangled bag is really cute. Good luck shoe shopping with your girls. You need to stop and relax a little bit enough though you've so much to do. I'm still in denial that my trip's about amonth and a half to do. Can't wait to see what V's bag looks like. I have to get ready for work , now.
Liz

Thanks Liz... Yah - I am not sure if we are going to go shoe shopping now... It's just so frustrating for all of us - and we never end up agreeing on anything. LOL

Don't worry about the diet. My dr said to shoot for 80/20, meaning eat right 80% of the time. Of course when you're at Disney all bets are off!!! i'm sure you'll get right back in the groove this week.

I agree - all bets are totally off in Disney. LOL

Yes! Daisy and Stitch were here also in March of 2012... No line for us either - it's a hair off the beaten path...

Love today's photos. Especially 50s Prime Time. That is one of my favorite places to eat. The joy on the girls faces is so special. Brings a smile to my face.

Awww... Thanks Lois!

Yay for renewing your military ID. That would be a detail that could easily be overlooked! Put it in your suitcase NOW! Good luck with your sewing today. Can't wait to see V's bag!

I agree - so relieved to have that done. And - I did what you said... It is packed with my stuff, so I should be good.

Hey D~, thanks for the response about the pins. I was thinking we would need more then the 10 each the kids said they needed for trading. So I guess I will be shopping

Well, you don't HAVE to, LOL... But I do recommend it. I am sure they will do fine with whatever you have.

I can't believe you were able to get the perfect FF from an online picture. I know they have so many colors and slightly different shades so I'm glad those worked for you. I bet you have a collection at this point for reference!

I did get lucky... And when I did - I ordered more. LOL ::yes::

Glad to hear the girls are home and V had a fun time. Yeah for getting your military ID updated and for getting your tickets ordered. I hope you get to finish all your bags, of course we always run out of time for our stuff. I have a bag I started for our Universal trip that I still need to finish. I made it generic with Disney colors but no applique so I could use it for both trips. I'm glad I didn't make it custom for Universal since I never finished it. I have been spending all my time making pictures that I am going to put in the kid's autograph books.

Haha... Yah - I am glad you didn't make a custom for Universal too...

I can't wait to see the kids' autograph books... Do you have a ticker??? I need to look.

I have a tip on the pins. Before we go, I check Ebay and buy some for our kids to trade. The pins I bought were all official Disney pins. Some people sell lots. The best I have ever done was $16 for 25 pins. Just make sure to check the seller's feedback rating.

Thanks for the tip... I have a hard time buying pins on Ebay, since I am so afraid of getting scrappers. I usually try to wait for TDS to have a sale - doesn't matter what they look like or what they are... Then I buy a bunch - but I am running out of time now, so I think we will be stuck with whatever we have - which I am sure will be pleanty. LOL

I have NOT cancelled LTT on that day yet - but I am certain I will... I just really want to hang out at the resort for a little while and enjoy just "being" there... Then we will still head over to MK when we are ready. ::yes::

Good luck during your class this week... I am thinking of you and I know you will do well. :thumbsup2

So happy that your mom's surgery went well. :thumbsup2

That is awesome!!! Every little bit helps - you just do whatever you can do, and don't beat yourself up for whatever you can't. You will have a great time regardless.

Actually having the ID is probably a good idea for the ordered discount.

Hahaha...

On my trip planning note: we added a day!! We were going through our plans and realized they seemed abrupt and with the way our summer is going...we thought we deserved a little extra rest. We already had the time off from work.

Hoping you don't stress to much with what you want to get done vs what you will get done.

Yay for adding a day!!! :goodvibes

Hey D~. You'll get it all done. And what you don't there is always next trip!

I know, I know... It's so hard though. LOL

Not sur what I commented on last. Using the phone to respond frustrates me.
Thank you for pointing out the Delsol shirts. Do you find the girls/woman sizes run small? The guys seem okay to me though.

I do agree that the womens does run small - or at least they did. Not sure if they have changed them over the years... but they definatly ran SHORT... Like my gut would show... But that could be because my tatas take up more room than most too? :confused3

Hope you got a lot done today . Looking forward to seeing the next bag.
Btw, I finally put the Minnie camera strap on. Love it! Only problem is ... I can't take a picture of my camera in it. Lol

LOL - that is awesome!!! So glad you love it!!! I hope you get lots of use out of it!

So, yesterday, I was able to get my custom order all quilted. Today I will be working on the applique.

Later this afternoon, I will switch over to V's bag. I only have a bit of her front applique to do yet... then it's on to her other applique. I am getting there - albeit very slowly.

I do have to give HUGE kudos to my TA... Yes - I must say that I have the best TA ever!!!!!!! I have learned to expect great things from her - because some how, some way, she always makes the magic happen. :wizard:

So, after being told by a CM at Disney several times that all my GCs to buy tickets wouldn't be a problem, when she actually went to call them in - they could only take 2. Now, I had heard rumors of this happening before (and so had she)... So, my TA had to call back several times, and wait on hold each time forever - until FINALLY she was able to talk to someone in ticketing who was able to make the magic happen!!! :woohoo: Keep in mind - her first call started at 6 am and the tickets were purchased at about noon... So this was HOURS out of her day. Granted she wasn't on the phone the entire time, but still...

So, our park tickets are on the way!!! Whoot!!!! And I was able to pay for them with my GCs!!!! Double-whoot!!!

In the end, we ended up with 7 day base tickets and we decided to add the WPF&M option, just because there is a chance that we will go twice, and the price difference was very minimal... And - Josh told me to 'go for it'... So I did. LOL I must follow through when given permission. ::yes::

This is the first time we have EVER added any extra options to our base tickets....

Then... In almost more exciting news... I have my TA running a quote on another trip... :woohoo: but I am not going to divulge any other info about that yet... Just want to keep you all in suspense and see if you are actually reading what I ramble about.

Military tickets...Yes....and NO

I love giving straight answers! LOL

Actually, it is written that one ticket must be used by the service member, but in reality it can be used by 6 other people. But...you have to call and check to make sure.

Two years ago we went using Free Dining. We had no need for the military tickets, but my son and his family and my daughter and her husband were also going. We were able to get all 6 tickets for the 6 of them. We stayed for 10 days and they were only there for 5 and used the 4 day tickets in the park.

The reason it is worded this way is for two main reasons. The very FIRST year it was in effect, the service member got a free ticket and could only get 4 discounted tickets, unless he could show that his immediate family was more than 5 people.

The next year, they did away with the free ticket for the service member, and added the wording about one ticket had to be used by the service member.

Now it is still there, partly to clear up that problem, and partly to let you know you can not resell the tickets.

Yes, SOMEONE with a valid Military ID has to be there to activate the tickets at first use. That person cannot activate a second set of tickets. They do use your SS# to verify only one set. Meaning that I can not activate one set and my husband a second set (unless both sets are less than 6 total)

It is confusing.

And, as we all know, some CMs are not 100% sure of the rules. Last year we used the Military tickets for my daughter and her husband, it took the CM a good 30 minutes to figure out it would not let her complete the sale because she did not put my ID card info in...even though I kept telling her she had to.

I hope I answered your questions...if not let me know....
