Hope you had a successful shopping trip!

I went out and started buying the kids school supplies today and am really regretting not just paying the school and letting them do it. I'm already at the amount it would have cost me and I still have about another $30 to go. Oh well you live and learn. Next year though the school's going to do the shopping for me!! Plus they get some of the money back so in a way it makes me feel good to know at least a little bit is going back to the school.

Just wanted to share I don't know if you noticed or not but I do have a new ticker!! It may not be a trip ticker but it's still pretty exciting (if not more exciting than a trip)!!!! We are 12 weeks pregnant and couldn't be more excited!!!!

I'm going to spend the day working in the garden. Our front yard is starting to look like this might be a haunted house - the weeds are almost taller than me. Just kidding, but it does look pretty bad out there. Once that is finished I plan to spend the rest of the day in my sewing room. I still have Charlie's pirate costume to finish, and mine to start. I want to make some skorts for me, but I was hoping to lose some more inches first. Not sure that's going to happen in time for me to sew the clothes. Oh, well, I am in better shape than I was this time last year.

Kat is home at her dad's and will be there for at least 2 weeks doing outpatient pt. Then, (I think) she will go back to Walter Reed for the heart procedure and then move into the Wounded Warrior housing. She is on light duty (I think that's what her Dad said). She is up and walking, can do stairs, etc. Her arm and hand are still not where they need to be, but the progress she has made has been amazing. The power of prayer, positive thinking and youth!

Happy to see you only have 30 days! I know you are probably freaking out. Again, if there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

I am camping with V and we are hang such a good time. We should be on the way home on Monday but I'm toying with staying just one more day. I really shouldn't but we may.i really need to be at home editing pictures and then working on V's customs for the trip. I'm thinking that mine just won't get done and that's okay with me, but I really would like to get hers done

Thank you! Once I got past about week 9 the morning sickness has started to subside (still get it here and there but I do have some medicine from the Dr that curbs it almost as quick as it starts!!). I'm just hoping that I can get some of my energy back but with the heat we've been having (and it's not just us I know) it's hard. Nap time for the kids has turned into nap time for me too. I'll keep you posted as things progress!!

Wow! Can't believe your trip is so close!! If I remember your dates right we start school near the end of your trip! I can't believe I'm going to have a 1st grader and a Kindergartener!!

Sometimes any savings is better than no savings! Glad you were able to save at least some! Happy you were able to spend some one on one time with Josh. Always nice to have that.

I wish I had something I could dole out to others... I do have a few friends working on some appliques on felt for our trip - I am hoping I can just straight stitch them on to the bottom hem of some of our tanks, then I can seam rip them when I get home and the girls will still wear them... We will see... My biggest priority is to work on V's bag - that is the next one to get done. My own list is long, but I figure I will get as far as I can on it...

Thanks Dee! It is super fun having alone time. However, last night we made ourselves a really nice dinner... We have always prayed as a family before meals... So, I was sitting at the table, waiting for Josh to finish assembling his plate, and he asked me what I was waiting for... Well, to pray, silly. It was very awkward/lonely/weird to pray at our meals with out our girls... And I just kept thinking to myself that this is how it is going to be forever in about 4 years... All these years, we've been anxiously awaiting our empty nest - and now that this time is approaching, I am starting to dread it... Not that I don't want to spend lots of time alone with Josh - that isn't it at all... it's that I will miss my girls horribly.

Glad you are having so much fun camping with V! But it sounds like you have a lot of work to get done before you leave for Disney. If it were me - I would opt to work, but that's just me. LOL If I don't keep a super strict schedule, I fall behind FOREVER. But once we get home from our trip - I took a week off in my sewing room, so I will just be able to enjoy the family and relax a little bit.

So glad you are starting to feel better! With Alli - I never had morning sickeness (I didn't with V either), but I was soooooo tired - so I can relate... I could fall into a dead sleep anywhere/anytime it was crazy! So, I hope you are able to get lots of naps.

Well, I spent most of my day yesterday in my sewing room. I did not finish my custom order for the week - which I was very bummed about. But I plan to go up this morning for about an hour, and finish it up. I am not sure if I will have the time to post pictures this morning or not.

This afternoon, we are meeting our good friends half way, and we are all going to have lunch together. I know for a fact that V is having such a wonderful time, she does not (truly) want to come home. But we miss her. Yesterday, V's bff's mom posted on my FB wall... "Thank you dear friend for sharing your wonderful daughter with us this week! We were blessed to have her cook another fabulous dinner for us tonight and are already sad to think of returning her tomorrow. So proud of the young lady she has become and thankful for the little girl still inside of her." V has such a strong connection to this family, it's been that way forever, and it's so nice that they love her just as much as she loves them. We need to plan trips like this every summer, because both of the girls - even though they haven't seen each other for years - have a really amazing connection that just doesn't happen every day. And I know that V misses our old town and old friends very much - even though she was only in 2nd grade when we moved, she just has never felt "home" here. Although - I suspect if we were to move from here, then she would feel it was "home". LOL Anyways - we are very exctied to have her home again, we have missed her a TON!

Trip stuff...

Yup - yesterday was another great trip day...

My photopass+ came... I am super excited that we were able to get the + portion!

Then... I organized my remaining GCs... I had a pile for Tips... A pile for OOP food... A pile for Suzi... And an extra pile... I packed all of those GCs and my PP+ into my trip stuff.

After that... I dragged my suitcase upstairs from the basement, and I begain the monumentous task of trying to pack the "pile"... It didn't go well... As of now, D~ is going to WDW nekkid! However, I am trying to console myself about that... Who cares if I will be nekkid? Everyone will just be looking at my bag anyways - right? LOL

OK - I must admit, some of this stuff can be divided out into the girls' checked luggage too... Some of what I have in there is a small collapsable cooler, 5 bottles of sunscreen (spray), and extra full size toiletries (hair spray...), ponchos, the box is all of our (so far) headbands from Princess Pie Bowtique... So, I think I can put the cooler and ponchos into one girl's suitcase, and the bag with all the sunscreens can go in the other. Then I will just be left with the PPB box.

Don't forget - I still need to get all of my extra bags I am making in there + my clothes.

I also started packing my carry-on... I hope to use one of my park bags as my carry on, but for the moment, everything is packed in my Toy Story messenger bag from last trip... And it's pretty full - so the odds of me being able to use a park bag are diminishing quickly. However, I will need to have one park bag packed in my carry on somewhere, just in case our room isn't ready - we can still go into MK upon our arrival.

Speaking of arrival... I am 99% sure I will be cancelling our LTT adr for our arrival day... I just really want to get to our resort and hang out for a little while - I don't want to have to rush off. So, I think we will just deal with having a bazillion ADRs the following day.

So... I think that's about it for trip planning... For today anyways...

This bag was ordered by someone who's story is just so romantic - it made me just melt. That, and Tangled is my FAVORITE Disney princess movie - so I was super excited to make this bag.

I really wanted to do Rapunzel with short hair - I just love her that way, and to make it even better (unknown to me at the time) the person who ordered this bag does some acting, and she plays Rapunzel with short hair... IRL - she looks a LOT like her - so it's pretty cool.

This is a series...

So, our very first full park day on our 2008 trip was Ak. We were hungry, so we stopped to sit down to eat a snack... As we were sitting there, a CM approached us and asked if he could take the girls with him...

Essentially, this has been our pin trading experience all along. We LOVE stopping whatever we are doing (especially V) to trade pins with CMs... We LOVE talking to them and letting them tell us about themselves - it has really added another dimension to our trips. And each time we have an exceptional experience, I am sure to take a photo like the very last one above, to remind us of the CMs who impacted our trip. We may never see them again - but we remember them.

So, if you have never pin traded before (Suzi and Bradey especially) - I encourage you to give it a try - it's a lot of fun to meet all of these amazing CMs.

I was looking at our photos from our first trip in the hopes of being able to put them into a photobook but I barely have any pictures. At least we have video, because the kids love to watch the trip to Disney "when Curtis had no hair" (he was one).

I just talked to my kids about pin trading. Casey has done it in the past and liked it. Curtis have never done it but I think he will enjoy it. They each have 10 pins they can trade. Do you think we should get more for trading?

That Rapunzel Bag is, as always, fabulous. She's probably my favorite princess as well.

Well, the pictures aren't exactly of a tower of stuff, but as you noted: you're still going to be walking around in your birthday suit. There's a little room in there, so maybe you can get your bathing suit and a pair of shorts. or some of those tanks you were buying one a day there for a while.

Thank heavens for good new on the Dis: less than 30 days for D~, Ladylyons adds another to her brood, Kat's in outpatient PT. Because my BIL is actually seeming to respond now that he's off LS, but the paperwork has been signed and . . .with the XSIL in charge it's not likely to change. Oh - and my mom has broken her knee. Good news there is her pain killers make her happy (she has a history of anxiety) and it's a clean break so her DR thinks it should be good with either wires or screws. And DH, who already has had a knee replacement (shattered it when he was 18) has been having issues with it and his DR thinks there's bone fragments under the kneecap.

So I will live a little vicariously through you all and count the days until I get a day off. Oh wait, I forgot...that's my first day of therapy for my shoulder and Mom's surgery.

Did I mention how much I love this bag? Dd (little one) saw it and got all excited and said. BID ON IT MOMMY. (That is how I know she really wants something, I become mommy again). She was very sad to hear it was not up for bid. She said I should have youse her a custom one. IF only it were that easy! She is young and so so naive. Seems like just a few months ago I was that naive. Oh wait it was only a few months ago. A time so innocent before I knew about D~ bags ( sorry it is a term of endearment . I promise).

I wish I didn't have to deal with morning sickness!! I'll take tired over being sick anytime!! When I was pregnant with Sarah I was almost hospitalized due to not being able to hold anything down for about a week and I lost 10 lbs in that time. They gave me an ultimatum either keep some water down in the next 24 hours or your being admitted!! Well I couldn't be admitted seeing as I had a 1 year old at home that I had to be there for. Needless to say I was finally able to start holding down sips of water through out the day and they didn't admit me. It was hard but we managed.

The Rapunzel bag is beautiful!!! I also love her with her short hair. Last time we saw her Sarah asked her how come her hair was long again and Rapunzel told her it was because her hair still had a little bit of magic left and let it grow again. Sarah was good with that answer thank goodness!!

Yeah for having all your GC's. Now good luck getting it all into your suitcases. You've got what 29 days to figure it out?

I think the Victorias should be known as V1 and V2 or short V and tall V.

All the mods except CBR have Queen beds. Until the renos of Port Orleans R and FQ, CSR was the only mod with Queens. I've never stayed there, but it looks really great. I would check with Disney, though, (or have your TA check) because there are often conferences held there and I remember reading last year about someone's stay at CSR that was ruined for her because of all the equipment set up ruining the esthetic as well as making it difficult to get around. I think it also blocked access to one of the pools if I remember correctly. So, I'd check just in case.

Good luck on your shopping, D~. I do need to get some pictures done, so maybe I'll head to Target myself today. I'm really bad about getting prints made. I have a gazillion digital photos and nothing to show for it!
