Wow you did a lot yesterday.

I hear you about BBW bags luckily I have one about 10 blocks for me so it is a local store.

Can't believe you have an auction this week YEAH and I have extra money

So lucky! LOL A little about the auction... I just want to dig into our park stuff.... I know I will be fine, but I just want to get V's bag done - after that, it will all be smooth sailing.

Took me forever to get caught up. No time to DIS last week and probably only this morning.

Busy, busy can't wait to see pictures of your new creations. AUCTION oh lord this time it will be just looking. Must repeat that many times so I don't succumb to temptation.

I don't mind if people just look - I totally get it.

So sad the pictures of the girls trip when they were young are done. They were so cute. Josh as a pirate is the best!!

I saw a link to Monsters Inc inspired nail polish and couldn't help but think of how cool it would be with V's headband.

I agree - I think she is planning to do that too.

When I was in Disney in May my friend and her DD used insulated Camelbak bottles. They kept their drinks cold for a really long time.

I think I may bring my insulated water bottle holder that I made last year - I wasn't going to, but I might now.

At CS places you could get cup of ice water to drink with meal and bottle of water to take with you.

The new bag is soooo cute!! I love your wallet! I guess I should try the hand applique again, I tried 3 mickey heads and they were pretty bad It does add so much to the bags/wallets! I also need to try quilting, what kind of batting do you use? How do you keep your lines so straight? I have so much to learn! Thank you for the compliment though

I just buy regular ol' quilt batting... there is one brand I prefer, but they have stopped making it - so now I just buy the best I can at which ever store I am at. The lines vary depending on the bag I am doing and the fabric I am using... Most of the time I use a walking foot though.

It's a nice size, especially inside... Although I prefer the more rectangular dimension, but this one turned out nice.

The wallet and bag are both so cute. I miss our wet lab, too at work. It had less problems. There is still one Walmart near us that developes 35mm film. I'm not sure how long that will last. Glad your trip is paid off. Isn't that a great feeling?

Thanks! Yah - unfortunately, I don't think the wet labs will be back... It's so much more efficiant and economical to run the dry labs. I've been able to convet most of our best 35mm guests into digital - there are only a few left out there holding dearly to their 35mm cameras.

I really like that material and the colors. Not usually drawn to the bold primary colors but the dots are just perfect. The applique is very very nice too.

Can't wait to see your interpretation of Toy Story for your own bag.

Another huge trip related day for me yesterday!

First off... I cut out and quilted my auction bag. After that, I was able to cut out the exterior of V's bag and I quilted the first 2 pieces... I was so happy to finally get started on it!

Josh came in with the mail -at some point - and we had all sorts of goodies in there! WHOOT!!!!

First - I had ordered a bunch of pins for trading - between those and the ones in our stash that we went through a few months ago - we should be OK for traders... I plan to keep my eyes open for any other good deals before we leave... I would feel better if we had a few more.

Then we got another package.... I couldn't believe it - this one was a TOTAL Surprise!!! A bag of Pixie Dust from Nini... I gushed and gushed via text to her yesterday - because this was just so wonderful, perfect and unexpected!!! I am super excited about this... She made each of us a luggage tag and a neck cooler!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it???? How perfect is this????

Sometimes, my girls are just goofy...

I am still over the moon about this package!!! Thank you so much Nini - these are going to be PERFECT!!!!

Then, I got shipping notification on our Photopass+ order!!!!

I couldn't have been a better Disney day unless we had actually been on our way to Disney!!!

Now the days are counting down faster than I can keep track and I am a HOT MESS!!!!!!!!!!! I look like the mad scientist running around here most days, trying to get everything done.

Today, Josh and I are bringing Victoria to meet her BFF from our old house. Despite the fact that she hasn't seen her in over 5 years (!!!!!) - they still talk almost every day. Our schedules have been so chaotic, that we just haven't been able to mesh them. So, finally this last spring, V's BFF's mom and I said enough is enough and we are going to make it work... So, V is spending a whole week at their house - she is soooo excited for this and I am so excited for her. Their family was one of our closest friends before we moved (and one of the very few people I would ever let my girls spend this much time with) - so I am excited to see them too - it's been too long!

OK - I better get a move on it! We have to leave here shortly and I still need to get ready.

Well, I spent my morning driving... V is off and spending the week with her BFF - I've received many pictures from all of them, and they look to be having a wonderful time. I am so glad we were finally able to plan this and make it work - it's been too long!

Then I came home to work in my sewing room... I was able to get the applique cut and pieced for my auction bag. And then I swtiched over to V's trip bag... I finally have it quilted.

Yesterday afternoon - I went for a walk with my neighbor... I haven't walked at all since we've been home from the lake - I just hate walking here with all the hills. So, we went out of town 1.5 miles (up the steepest/tallest hill in the area)... Yikes it was crazy! And there is no shade on this road, I was thinking to myself when we got to the very top of the hill - I should have put on a Frogg Togg before I left. We are going again today - so I might just do that.

Today, I will be working on my applique for the auction bag... I can't believe how quickly this one snuck up on me - I feel like I JUST did my big auction. Then this afternoon, I will switch over to my custom order bag. V's bag won't get touched again until the auction bag/wallet is finished.

I don't have any trip related news to post today - other than that my pile to pack in our bedroom is getting taller and taller... I really need to get our luggage up from the basement, I was planning to do that this weekend - but it just got away from me. Maybe today?

I just couldn't be on here for awhile. Tink may have told you that we lost our daughters this past August. I kind of hid from the world for awhile grieving privately. My grief counselor thinks I need to get back out in the world so I am trying but it's hard everyday.
