Good luck shopping today. i am waiting until Sunday to shop because it is only supposed to be in the mid 80s. I can't wait for this heatwave to break.
Good luck trying to get your sewing done.
Today I am staying home and going to work on trip stuff.
I know exactly what you mean - we have been in some very hot weather too... This morning, we woke up and we FINALLY had a cool front move through last night - it's a nice 67 out there currently.
Shopping went OK... I'll tell more about it below. I hope you were able to get lots of trip stuff done yesterday.
Oh and have y'all registered for the trip the DISUnplugged is giving away to Aulani? If you haven't here is a link to the episode talking about it...
DISUnplugged Aulani Contest
ok its not working but that's where to go anyways
I have not yet - thanks for the reminder.
I think the Victorias should be known as V1 and V2 or short V and tall V.
All the mods except CBR have Queen beds. Until the renos of Port Orleans R and FQ, CSR was the only mod with Queens. I've never stayed there, but it looks really great. I would check with Disney, though, (or have your TA check) because there are often conferences held there and I remember reading last year about someone's stay at CSR that was ruined for her because of all the equipment set up ruining the esthetic as well as making it difficult to get around. I think it also blocked access to one of the pools if I remember correctly. So, I'd check just in case.
Good luck on your shopping, D~. I do need to get some pictures done, so maybe I'll head to Target myself today. I'm really bad about getting prints made. I have a gazillion digital photos and nothing to show for it!
Prayers to Ruth and family and for Kat and her PT. And for anyone else in need. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks Lois... I was able to get my pictures done

Which means, I can start assembling my Mini-Planner!!! Yay! That's one thing I love about digital - you really never HAVE to print them... SO much is done online these days... <---- That's the tightwad in me talking. LOL
Love today's throwback pictures...too darn adorable.
Have a good weekend.
Thanks Kathy - I hope you have a great weekend too!
Good luck with the shopping!
At first when you wrote that you couldn't take pictures of the pile I had imagined a stack of stuff (no clothes, just stuff) towering over your head.
Hahahaha... Well...
We always end up stuffing the car - until last year we were stuffing DH's Rondo but his ac went out last year and we went in my two door Pontiac. I was afraid we wouldn't be able to get everything in. It didn't all fit in the trunk, but we got it in the car. ---Which reminds me, I should finish cleaning out the car, maybe detail it too, before too long.
LOL - that is one good reason that we fly.
Love all the pin trading pics! I have read some things on pin trading, but I think we might have enough on our plates with the autographs for our first trip. we'll see
Yay for the GCs! It must be nice to be officially PIF!!!
Yes, I would probably not do it on your first trip... There is so much to see and do with out worrying about that. But it is something fun to do (especially for younger kids) on subsequent trips.
Hope you had a successful shopping trip!
I went out and started buying the kids school supplies today and am really regretting not just paying the school and letting them do it. I'm already at the amount it would have cost me and I still have about another $30 to go. Oh well you live and learn. Next year though the school's going to do the shopping for me!! Plus they get some of the money back so in a way it makes me feel good to know at least a little bit is going back to the school.
Just wanted to share I don't know if you noticed or not but I do have a new ticker!! It may not be a trip ticker but it's still pretty exciting (if not more exciting than a trip)!!!! We are 12 weeks pregnant and couldn't be more excited!!!!
Yay for school shopping... I have not started yet... I don't even know where to start, since the girls won't get their school supply list until the first day of school (this is only done in the High school here)... So, I will probably go out and buy a bunch of notebooks/pens/pencils/folders one day soon here and the rest will have to wait until school starts... Which is fine with me - since Disney happens right before that.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So very excited for you!!! I hope you are feeling well...

Wow... I just don't even know where to begin with yesterday...
We started off at my Target store to purchase GCs... I always go there, because we have a very small store, so I like to "give back" and give them the sales - which really aren't sales, because I have no idea how much they make off of GCs sold at a discount?

But - whatever - I purchased an untold amount of $$ worth... And now I am paid in FULL, FULL, FULL!!!
Then we drove two Targets over (to avoid the crabby cashier lady - I am still not happy with her) and bff and I did our shopping. It was bad, really bad... At check out - I had TWO heaping carts full of food (mostly), and Alli refused to start a 3rd for me.

I purchased lots of staples that we were out of, and lots of snacks, because we were out of those too...
My final total was 379.19 and I paid $200.37 for a savings of 53% - not my best savings, but a nice savings just the same... I really wanted it under $200 - and I was sooo close. The worst part, is once the cashier started adding the coupons to my transaction - the register started freezing up - so it took almost 45 minutes to get all of them added... Finally, at the end, he just manually added them all together, and put them into my transaction in one lump sum... I was sooo worried that the register was going to die and we'd have to start all over.
I am mostly happy with yesterday's buys at Target, considering that a lot of my stuff wasn't even on my list, and it was "impulse buying" - I was still able to get a good savings. I really love that Target lets you stack coupons... So, yesterday, my savings went something like this... Manufacturer coupon, Target coupon, Cartwheel, Team Member discount, Target Check Card discount, Pharmacy Rewards discount... And let me tell ya - they all add up... It's pretty cool.
Ok - then we dropped BFF off at her house, because she had an appointment, then Alli and I went to the actual grocery store... I had a ton of store coupons for this store, but not a lot of manufacturer coupons... Still, I managed to start off at (I didn't write it down... So, I don't have exact #s here) $113 and I paid $60... So, just under half... Which is pretty good.
Alli and I headed home, with the cooler plump full in back, and it was a mad rush to unload it... being in the middle of a heat wave, and no air... It was serious rushing. But I was amazed that everything in the cooler was still cold (with out ice) when we got home.
Then Alli packed up, her and bff decided earlier in the day that she was going to go spend the weekend with her (Alli is getting bored at home)... Which means, Josh and I have the weekend to ourselves.

That rarely ever happens!
So, last night, we drove into town to go to their summer festival... When we got there, it hadn't started yet - so we went out for dinner. To be honest, I wasn't in the mood to go, so we decided to go for a Jeep ride instead. I think the Jeep ride was cheaper - even though it was 2 hours - than the $$ we would have spent at the festival.
Today, I will be making up for yesterday, and locking myself in my sewing room most of the day.

I hope to finish my custom order.
Also... Check out my ticker... ACK!!!!

Today's vintage photos... Another series (sorry)... This trip was all digital photos - so I took TONS.. LOL Our Character meet with Lilo and Stitch...
I hope each of you has a wonderful weekend... Thoughts and prayers go out to each and every one of you.
