Good for you on the healthy journey. I have been watching what I eat since having Sam and am going to look for my 1 mile walk DVDs today. I need to start small since I am allowed to do the walking finally. No weights or strength training yet
I need to start using my fitness pal again too for logging in my food.
I love Mickey Mail
I am so happy for you that you are OKed for excercise... I know that when I had my surgery this last spring (I know, not nearly as huge as yours), but I was just dying to get back to working out - espcially once I was recovered and no longer in pain (both from my gall bladder and recovery)... I hope you found your DVDs and Leslie is good to you.
I love MFP... I don't really track every morself like I used to - but I do try to log in every day and I track most everything I eat.
OMG....this picture is AWESOME!!! Totally one of my favorites!
THanks - LOL - it's one of mine too.
What a fun photo of the girls. Such fun memories.
As a follow up to one of your previous posts about your PP photographer, I don't remember hearing that she would not be there this trip. Hopefully you can find another photographer to spend some time with on this trip. Or just take Mo!!!
I know - we are so bummed that she won't be there. Oh well... At least we are friends now, and can keep in touch.
That picture of your girls is HILARIOUS!!! Love it!
On the weight loss...remember how we started the journey together? I haven't been doing so hot. In fact, I think I totally quit on it about 6 months ago.
Clearly - I have not been doing so hot either... Otherwise I would be a size 2 by now.

After gaining back everything I lost last summer - I didn't get back to really being focused until about the beginning of April... And it's been an up hill battle the whole way. I have honestly been working out solid for 6 days/week since I started, but have not noticed any difference until about this last week - when I added the extra cardio and dropped out snacks.
So, our cruise has a "formal night". I have 4 or 5 gorgeous dresses that I have bought for various Christmas and work parties over the last 5 years or so. I was looking at them last night... and they are ALL one size too small. I refuse to buy yet another dress when those are there, and most have only been worn once or twice. So it looks like, I need to jump back on MFP again... At least I have a year and two months to get this hot body back into shape.
See... Great motivation!!! Start now... Seriously... I wish I could have started earlier... Looking forward to seeing you back on MFP.
What a cute photo for today!! Gave me a nice laugh!
I've never done a ptr and I've actually never ever done an original post! I know, crazy, right? So, it might be fun to try it.
Thanks! I think you should write one - I love reading what you post everywhere I see your posts, you write so nicely.

I'd love to follow along.
You know, the weight loss thing is so frustrating, isn't it? I have spent the last 4 1/2 months not eating the things that I'm allergic to. How can I NOT be losing weight?? No bread, pasta, dairy, eggs, gluten, white potatoes, sweets. Eating lots of vegetables and protein. Poor Dan is getting so skinny, he can't afford to lose any more. We are eating the same way, but he has lost over 25 pounds. And he was NOT overweight at all. I've lost a little, but I have another 50lbs. to go and nothing is happening. Sooooo frustrating! I hope you will hang in there and keep trying. I will if you will.
I agree... And wow... Yes, you would think that with cutting out that much - you would have lost considerably... How frustrating! And poor Dan... sounds like you need to fatten him up a little?
I continue to try, but I must admit it is truly frustrating for me too... I feel sooo much STRONGER - but all my muscles are covered by fat...
I'm with you on the weight loss program. I've lost a total of about 8 lbs since the beginning of June. DH and I joined the local gym since its been too hot to walk outside. I've been doing the Couch to 5K walk/run program. I've had some inches lost, so I am making progress. I'm hoping to run a 5k in September after we get back from our trip, so I do have a goal that I think I can reach.
That is awesome Tess!!! I am so proud of you! I've always wanted to run - but with my knees, there is just no way I will ever be able to... put that on top of my years as a smoker, and I just don't have the lung capacity to handle running... You would think that after 5 years being smoke free, that I would have my full lung capacity back - but maybe I never had much to begin with? LOL But I admire you greatly - what an awesome accomplishment!
Kat is being discharged from the rehab hospital on Friday. She will be staying with her Dad and doing out patient pt.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful news!!! Totally made my day!!!!!!

Continued prayers for Kat and her recovery!
Loved that last vintage. That's some hat and such a great smile. Mickey Mail for u and Suzi. It is getting really close. Have a nice week.
Thanks Jane!!! Yes - it is getting close... I am trying not to look at my ticker, because I just freak out at how little time I have left to get anything done...
Still here and reading when I can. Just wanted to say good luck on the weight loss thing. It is soooo tough especially as we get older. I feel like I hit 40 and my metabolism just stopped. I dropped about 8-10 pounds between May and June and now I am stalled. Plus I injured myself playing tennis about three weeks ago and since that was my only form of regular exercise now I am really in trouble. Until this tennis leg heals I can't do much and it REALLY sucks. I am getting frustrated and impatient with this slow healing process.
I can't believe our trips are sooooo close now!!! Crazy!
I feel the same way - I feel like I have to work out twice as hard now as I did 10 years ago... I used to be able to drop weight like crazy, and now it just seems like an endless battle, with no finish line. LOL I sure hope you are able to get back to playing tennis soon, or find another outlet you enjoy that you can do.
I tried to look for your ticker - and I didn't see one... How many days are you at?
Love the photo. I had such great ambitions of loosing weight before this trip. Yeah, right. maybe next trip.
I know that life can get in the way, and it's not always easy - but I know that you will have an amazing trip just the same.
Good morning Miss D~! Hope you have a wonderful day today
Good morning Miss Suzi... YOu are up and Dising awful early this morning.
I've started my "Disney Diet" too. I usually go out for a walk every evening after dinner, but not lately. We have been unusually hot and muggy here all summer. It has just been a horrible season so far. If it isn't raining, it is 90-95 and humid. Not exagerating either This is NOT the way Maine should be.
I know - we are the same way here... I know we aren't an island, but still... Super hot - super humid - still no air in my car (hopefully next week....) - it's really crazy. I've taken to wearing my Frogg Toggs in my sewing room in the afternoons, since I don't have air in there either. LOL
The only thing is that I wish I was walking more at home... I need to do that.
But...because I believe there is always a silver lining....at least it will feel cooler at WDW. Seriously...I might need to take a sweatshirt down there Brrrrrr....
Oh yes... Hopefully they aren't going through the same heat wave we are...

So, I finished my next auction bag set yesterday... I am very happy with how it turned out. None too soon either, since I still have to write the auction and it begins tomorrow. Sigh.
Then I worked on my custom order bag for a little while yesterday afternoon.
Afterwards, I started cutting coupons... I had about 3 weeks worth of coupons stacked up, and I have a big grocery shopping/Disney GC shopping trip planned this week. BFF and I were trying to figure it out, and I have not done any major grocery shopping for the house in over 6 weeks (we are actually thinking 2 months) - because the last big one I did was for 4th of July at that lake, and we've been living off of my stock pile (which is very small) for a long time. So, I really NEED to grocery shop now.
I work at Target today - but it's a short shift... I hope to get up to my sewing room this afternoon to prep the applique for my custom order, so I can just sit down and stitch it tomorrow.

Nothing real new or exciting to report on the trip planning front... Sometimes
MDE is working, sometimes it isn't. I've determined that I will not rely on it for our trip... Besides, I really enjoy making my calendar pages. I also noticed that Target is having their 10 cent print sale this week... So, I really need to print off my pages... HOpefully I can get that done today while I am at work?

Here's our vintage photo for today... In line to ride EE for the very first time... We were sooo excited for this - as they had just anounced the building of it right after our last trip in 2003.
I hope you all have a wonderful tday... Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in need.
