/have a great day D I have been following just crazy crazy busy and feeling like nothing is getting done.
It's totally OK Chiara! Glad to see you and hope you're feeling OK.
Love Figment! I like the back pack bag too.
Thanks!
Oh the backpack is adorable!!!
BTW booked my solo trip. I leave in THREE WEEKS for my ME-cation all by myself to the World for the very first time! Crazy!
Thanks!
ACK!!! That is sooo awesome!!! I can't wait to hear all about it!
This bag is absolutely fabulous. I want to make the baby a Figment dress for August.
Awww... That would be adorable!
U will LOVE doing this for yourself !
D-Boy did you capture Figment He is my 2nd favorite after Pluto of course
Thanks Ruthie!
Queen_ I LIKE your Minnie the bag is very different If I saw you at a park I would definitely stop you and ask about it ( I do that ALL the time with customs)
I really like that one too!
Thanks, hand applique I know I can do - I do it a lot in making my quilts.
I think your hand applique turned out fabulous!
I think you will have a blast!
A baby figment dress would be so cute. I see you updated your signature. I'm glad to see you are still going in October. I think we will be there columbus day week. I wanted to call today to book but with the free dining going live for Sept I figured I would be on hold forever.
Your bag is awesome. The hand applique you did is great, Minnie's face is perfect.
D~ The figment bag is wonderful. He looks so happy to be on a D~ original.
Thanks! I hope so, he didn't have much choice.
Oh D, I just love how you did the stripe fabric on the bottom too. It just adds so much. And this guy is always adorable to me...one of my favorite rides of Disney!
Thanks - I really debated about that fabric on the bottom... SHould I? SHouldn't I? In the end, I do really like it there.
Oh cool we will have to meet up.
Yes DH is still laughing that I decided we needed to go in August too. Once this baby actually gets here I am going to be busy sewing but I did just order a bunch of petti's to just add shirts and onsies too for August.
Awwww... She is going to be soooo adorable!
Figment is adorable! In our house, Figment has a very special place...I won't bore you with the details...but it was the first complicated word that Mr D said after the accident...he said he liked the way it 'felt' when he said it.
If we don't go and see Figment when we are in Epcot it causes a meltdown! (should be interesting in June...we are not going to Epcot...)
Beautiful bag as always!
(my husband says I stalk your PTR just so I can try and spot the bags in the park... and I reminded him that is exactly what I did last year....)
Nini
That is awesome about Figment.
LOL... And you did find one last year...

I don't even know where to start about my day yesterday...
The girls and I left for town at 7am. We got there a bit too early to drop them at their respective schools, so I stopped for gas first.
Alli had a Track Meet in Duluth yesterday - so their bus left at 9am... Sounds like she is having a good time.
I was on my way to BFF's house by 7:30.
We headed out to the natural foods store at 8:30... I needed Steel Cut Oatmeal... And I ended up getting a couple of other things.
Then we went to Kohls... I had to return 2 pairs of shoes I ordered online, but I didn't like them when I received them.
Then we had to drive ALL THE WAY back to pick Victoria up from school at 10:45, she had an appointment. I went in to pay the co-pay, only to discover that her appointment was an hour later.
So, BFF and I took her to
Walmart with us - I had to get a few things there (Shhh....)
Then we took her to lunch with us.
Then we brought her back to her appointment.
While she was at her appointment, BFF and I went to my Target.
While I was there - I purchased almost $1200 in Disney GCs... WHOOT -

with what I have at home, I am over half way there.
I also purchased everything on my list that was non-perishable.
By the time V was done with her appointment - I didn't make any sense to bring her back to school.
So, she went with us to the big Target store - the one with the mean GSTL... Who was working, but I don't think she ever saw us.
We were in and out of there in about 40 minutes, which is a pretty good time for us. All we needed were the perishables. Can't remember my final total here - I forgot to write down my starting #... But my savings was right around 50%.
Then we hit the grocery store. They have a coupon book out this week - so the bulk of my shopping was here... I started at $169, and ended at $104... So, not too bad. My cart was plump full!
By the time V and I got home, it was almost 4:30, and we were soooo tired.
We unloaded the car, put everything away... And then I had to make dinner. Which ended up being sandwiches and potato chips.

I was pretty lazy last night - but it hit the spot.

Josh was cleaning the girls' shower the other night, after leaning over the bath tub... He was in a lot of pain - can't breathe big breaths... Pain when he caughs/sneezes/laughs... He talked to one of the Doctors at work yesterday, and he thinks Josh cracked a rib. They don't do anything for that now, I guess... He said they used to wrap them, but he said they noticed when they wrapped their ribs, a lot of patients turned up with pneumonia (sp?), because they couldn't take deep breaths. So, now they do nothing.
Kind of concerns me that he was putting so much pressure on his ribs while cleaning their tub, that he cracked a rib. That is not good. So he is in a bit of pain, and won't be doing anything but resting this weekend.
Hopefully it heals soon and he isn't in pain for long.

Then, yesterday, when I was at my Target... I had one of my most frequent guests approach me... She had an embroidery machine she was trying to sell. I really wasn't that interested, but her price was right... $100.
I don't really have that extra $$ for that right now, because I am in HUGE savings mode for Disney, and I told her that.
She said she'd be willing to trade one of my bags + she would give me cash to boot. Hmmmm....
I then told her it would be over a year before she got a bag. And she was fine with that.
She actually had it in her car with her, so she told me to take it home and mess with it a little bit, see what I thought.
Now, I have no intention of replacing my hand appliques with machine appliques... However, I have been looking for a machine that can do fonts... As, on the rare occasion that people want writings on their bags - I find those the hardest to do. So, I would like a machine I can do that with.
Well, after coming home and doing some research... I am not sure this is the machine that will do that for me?
I would have to buy a PED write thingy... then I would have to buy blank cards to write to. The total for both would be $150. Plus all the pain in the butt time I would have to spend converting files and getting them on to the machine... I just don't think it would be worth it.
I keep telling myself that I've been able to "make do" with what I have for so long... I dunno?

Not sure this is a time investment that I am willing to make right now?
I guess, I could take it off her hands, and then see what the Brother dealer would give me on a trade for it, so get a machine that would actually work for what I need? It is an option, but I doubt they will give me much for it? I could sell it on Craigslist too -a nd put that $$ towards what I need?
Not sure what to do?

Today is Victoria's big shopping day at the MOA with me... She is super excited, and has been looking forward to this for weeks. So have I!
It's my last day off for a while... I will be putting in tons of over time over the next week, as I have one bag that needs to be done by Thursday (technically Wednesday) for my May auction. And I have a HUGE detailed custom order this week, as well. It's going to be a tough one, that's for sure. These auctions always sneak up on me.
Anyways, I better run! We need to be out the door in 2 hours, and I have a lot to do.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and everyone is feeling better.
