LOVE the planner!!!!
Sci-fi is my fav restaurant so far in HS.
Thanks Mo! I love making my planners... I think I have it down to a science now.
We have yet to make it to Sci-Fi... So we are looking forward to eating there for the first time.
I have D-cided that it is my job here to provide MO-re comic relief
Life is so hard sometimes and I can't really share much in the family aspects and the planning of creative projects (handmade or building projects) but if I can pop in here and make someone smile every now and then I feel I have taken your minds off of tough things for awhile then thats a good thing
so if I find an open door about dogs or characters well I will squeeze through it and run with it Glad you like the pictures and the MM story of the pants
Glad I can sometimes make you laugh
Daisy's Reaction when I said " I Love you but are you aware that Fortune Telling is illegal in the State of Florida ? I think I saw the Sheriff's car outside"
Thanks Ruthie... I love that you make everyone smile.
OMG - I bet Daisy was not happy with you!
Great picture of MM and Josh
How great that you got a lot done in your sewing room
I hope you get the price you are looking for at Home Depot. Good luck
Thanks! I am so happy to be caught up again in my sewing room.
D~ too funny about Josh & MM on the sofa....snuggling. My dh is the same way, always telling us girls we spoil Dizzy. Reminding us he is a dog, not a baby. But you should see DH face light up when Dizzy jumps on his lap to sit & watch tv with him.
Awww... You just reminded me - I had a small cat in high school named Dizzy. I had rescued her from an animal shelter - her previous owners had cut her whiskers off.

The was the sweetest little cat - and once her whiskers grew back - she was fine.
I love the mini's. We may actually be in DHS the same day & time. Before we leave we should exchange cell phone #'s. Maybe we can grab a snack together, or atleast meet each other in person.
For sure!!! We must exchange #s... I've added the possible Dismeet to my planning page for that day... If there are any of our other days that overlap - please let me know.
Good luck at Home Depot.
Ruthie, I love Daisy Duck reaction to the sheriff!
I know... I am beginning to think that Ruthie is a bit of a prankster.
I think this is another aspect of being a "Ruth(ie)" I'm the one who provides the lighter side of hard times for the family usually & most of the Ruths I've met (present company included, I suspect) usually get this little glint in their eye when they make someone laugh.
That is a very interesting perspective. I can't say that I know any Ruths (or Ruthies) IRL - even though I think it's a fairly common name? I am just happy that you all are here.
D~ That picture is so adorable. There's just something about a dog and his boy. One of the major reasons we have T is that he was a puppy of one of my in-law's dogs and my FIL had him chained up (long chain, but still...) and he'd cower away from everybody. Except DH . So when DH seriously started talking about having him at our house, how could I deny either of them. It took T some time to warm up to me, but now I'm part of the pack, but DH is still his boy. When he comes home T will literally push me out of the way to get outside to greet him.
Awww... That is such a sad story with a very happy ending. Our Rufus was that way - we adopted him from our old neighbors back home - and don't get me wrong, they were very nice to him, but he was kenneled 24/7... Once he moved in with us - and especially once Josh was in Iraq (and he really moved in with us)... I think he was just so thankful to have a family? He was just the best dog ever...
Here is a picture of my stove. The microwave above is separate. The griddle portion in the middle is interchangeable with a rack. We use the griddle alot, and as I said before we use the top oven more than the bottom, but it really comes in handy when we have multiple cooks or multiple dishes. The bottom oven is also a convection oven.
I just realized the old microwave was still on the counter when I took this picture! We no longer have it since it did not work very well.
That looks like a very nice oven. Yah - I am not sure about that bottom door... it does seem like it would be a little awkward when it's open?
I have just a regular stove, but I have several burners on top... Not sure how well this photo shows it... but it's a 4 burner, the front right burner is several different sizes, and I use that burner for everything. The burners to the left can connect to make a griddle - but I have never used it that way, because we have an electric griddle.

But I do LOVE my oven. And now you all know what my crappy kitchen looks like.
I really did mean to show you this picture but forgot to upload it.
It was a commercial pattern. The strap also goes around the waist so it was very secure even on rides. The problem with it was that it just was not large enough and I didn't have any place to carry a water bottle. I'm making a different type of bag for this trip.
I did get complements on it and someone actually asked if she could take a picture of it.
I think that is a really cool bag... and you executed it Disney style perfectly! I am not sure that (personally) I would love the waist strap, but I do like the cross-body portion. I would love to see your next one when you add the water bottle feature too.
Love the picture of MM!! His expression is saying to me "But Mom, Dad let me up here!!!" lol
Great job on all that you got done!!
Exactly... LOL - he is such a naughty boy. Only kidding - of course... but he is just like a little kid, once you let him get away with it, it's now allowed all the time.
Well....maybe Josh was asleep when MM got up there.....maybe MM tiptoed very carefully so he didn't wake josh up....maybe MM sprouted wings and gently landed down on top of him. You never know
Lol - nice try... Not falling for it...
DH is the same with Buffy. I've caught her laying on the couch in the basement with him many, many times. I also found her asleep in bed with him one night. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture as she got down before I could get the camera.
Awww... See - our DHs are all softies at heart. MM does try to crawl into bed with us every night, but he hasn't figured out how to jump up there, so he will put the front half of his body up on our bed - then just stare at us until we help him up there. Josh keeps trying to teach him how to jump up, but he just doesn't

Once he does come up, he'll lay there and cuddle - but then he gets really hot, so he will sit straight up and we have to kick him out. LOL
We have a friend who is a contractor and he swears by IKEA kitchen cabinets. He puts them in all the high end homes they renovate. Don't know if you have one near you, but might be worth checking out too.
Interesting about Ikea... We did look at their website - but they are just too modern looking for us. I wasn't able to find anything traditional on there at all.

BUt I will keep that in mind for other portions of our house, because we may need to add a few things in other areas, where I wouldn't mind more of a modern look.
This made me LOL! I know even trying to be gentle there is no way you don't feel a dog that size getting on you...he is too cute laying with his daddy though!
LOL - and MM isn't exactly the graceful type either...

He always reminds me of the guys from the 80's big hair bands, the way he runs around with all of his hair flying to and from... LOL
Aww, I love Marie. What a darling bag!
I love reading about your couponing conquests. They're so impressive. I'm going to be a SAHM whenever our little guy gets here so I am hoping to become motivated to coupon again.
Hi Ashley!!! How are you feeling? I was hoping when I saw your post that you'd be telling me that the little guy had arrived... Not long left now though.
I do love couponing - but I cannot believe how much work it is... But it's so fun getting the deals!

I spent the morning in my sewing room... I was able to get a lot accomplished. I hope to finish this bag tomorrow - there weren't any accessories ordered with it, so once it's done I can start working on my monthly auction bag - which is a week from tomorrow...
Josh decided to go with me to Home Depot... It was so much fun! I loved designing our kitchen! We were there for 1.5 hours, and we were able to get most of our kitchen done. I love, love, love crown molding... However, because of our ultra short ceilings, we just cannot fit any crown molding up there. But there is a possibility that when we gut the kitchen, we will find more space, because there are soooo many layers of sheetrock and plaster through out our house - we suspect that we will gain several inches in each direction.
We've also - for the time being - decided to keep our current stove. Even though we would love double ovens and a cook top, aside from the additional expense of it - logistically, it would be difficult to fit both of them into our kitchen with out losing a lot of our counter space. And I would like to keep the pantries next to the fridge.
I am so sorry for boring you all these last few days with our remodeling stuff... I know it has nothing to do with Disney or my sewing - but in the evenings, it's what Josh and I have been trying to work on.
So, anyways... Yesterday with the kitchen designer was fun... We did pick out the cupboards we liked, but I am a bit disappointed in the color, because it is much lighter than I would have liked. However, in the pictures she printed for me, it appears to be dark - but the colors are totally off, and no where near what I would like in there. The counter tops in these drawings are not even close to what I'd like...
But this is what we accomplished yesterday... This is the front wall of our house - where all of our existing kitchen cabinetry is right now.
There are several features of this that I am really excited about. First off is the 2 pantry cabinets... It will be sooo amazing to have this storage! The fridge will be a new appliance purchase. Our current fridge will move to the garage, and our current basement fridge will be recycled - unless anyone wants a yellow fridge that works perfectly? Then, next to the pantries is going to be a "coffee bar"... I decided to do this here, because this is where our kitchen sink is currently - we want to keep that window and the area is fully plumbed, so the cost of doing this (other than the cabinets/counter top) is very minimal - and it keeps the coffee stuff off my regular counter top. Then, finally will be a built in China cabinet... We are still really undecided about the wine rack and the open space at the bottom... We would rather have the lattice type wine rack - but it won't fit into the space... So we may end up putting a second X shaped wine rack in there - even though we don't have that much wine, because we don't really like that little open spot - I can see it filling up with all sorts of stuff.
OK - now on to the existing bathrooom space - directly across from the above photo...
Nothing really exciting about this area, I think it's all pretty self explanitory... A few cool features... I will have a pull out trash bin next to the sink. And I will have the book case at the end of the bar for my cook books. Otherwise - it's a pretty boring kitchen.

The only real big difference here will be that the counter tops will extend over the edge of the base cabinets, so that we can actually use that space for sitting.
Then, yesterday morning - while I was working upstairs, Josh started working on the concept drawings of what the exterior of the house would look like. I wasn't sure about the HUGE roof over the whole space (I have issues with things being centered) - so I asked him to create a second drawing with just the peak over the garage area... I can't decide which one I like better. Obviously - these are not perfect, but they definately get the general idea across. Clearly - the addition will not be anything spectacular - it's just a plain addition to extend our living space...
Anyways - I would love some feedback on the two different roof peaks over the garage, which you prefer and why.

If you have the time - of course, and you aren't so sick of giving me opinions in the first place.
So, today, I have to work at Target...

And I need to hang out in town for 2 hours after my shift for Alli to get done with practice... So, I am dragging my binder with me into town to see if there are any great coupon deals that I can't live with out.
And - spring has sprung... We woke to a fresh 4" of snow this morning - our snow pack had been completely melted for over a week...

Winter can go away any time now....

A couple of updates for you all....
First of all -
my Dad - I am still playing telephone tag with him... Our schedules are so opposite... I am going to try again tonight.
Alli's jacket... No news on that in months... Pretty sure it's gone for good. I am sure you all assumed that - but I just wanted to update just in case.
Alli's shins... They seem to be doing better. This last weekend of relaxing and icing them like crazy seemed to do wonders. She knows that she still needs to be careful though.
Ruth... Has anyone heard from her? It's been a few days, and I've been wondering how she is doing.

I hope you all have a wonderful day today! And try to stay out of trouble will ya?
