Have a great day. I am really sorry Alli is dealing with shin splints those hurt.
C has had a couple of dance related injuries this year and it stresses me out. thankfully wrapping and icing it has seemed to help. I am just scared she is going to really injure herself from all the dancing
I am off to IKEA today to see about a wall unit for Cs bedroom.
I agree - it is scary when they injure themselves. I just hope that she really goes easy this weekend and ices like crazy.
I hope you had fun at Ikea!
Well, by DH's thinking, we won't be going until 2016. He thinks 4 years between trips is perfect. I'm thinking I might present it as a do-over since our trip last year with BIL/SIL was less than great for us.
I would totally present as a do-over.
Will do. I love the colours in it and hope they will love it too. I really want to put her name on it too. I was thinking of putting it on felt and hand sewing it on after it is washed. Might have to think about that more.
Have a great day!
I like the idea of putting her name on it - that's cute. Not sure about the felt though - I am not a huge felt fan, but that's just me. I can't wait to see it.
The Marie bag.
Sorry I haven't been around much the last two weeks. I'm just super busy at work right now and probably will be through the end of this month.
Thanks Ariana! No worries - I totally understand.
I love your Marie bag
The Mike nail V made is really cool
Thanks Lillian!
Oh my gosh, that Marie bag is just perfect!! I love everything about it! What is that applique on the wallet?
Thanks Stephanie!
First of all I want to thank all of you for your love and prayers! It just means so much to me that so many people care! I am home but still have no answer for why I fell. The doctors say there is a disconnect somewhere between my brain and heart but they don't know where? I still have to have a few more tests and results before I can return to work. The neurologist is talking about adding more medications. That always scares me because it seems I always have trouble when they change meds. I'm hoping to get tests scheduled for next week. Now I have laryngitis and am just hoping to get a voice back soon!
It's great to hear from you Ruth - thank for taking the time to do an update. I will continue to pray that you get the answers you need and you are back to normal soon. I am sorry about the possible med change... Taking meds sometimes scares me, so I understand. (((Hugs)))
The Marie bag is just beautiful! I love the pink dots and Marie is just too cute.
Thanks!
Allie is doing great! What progress she's already made! Love Victorias nails and your story about MM is just too cute!
Thanks!
I hope everyone has a great day! Although I don't post often, I read this thread each day to see how everyone is doing! Ruth
Just take care of yourself - we will all still be here when you recover. Please know that we are thinking of you and praying for you.
Duh, I see it now I kept trying to make it a mickey. I would feel very lucky to have have that set!
Oh good - I was worried for a second there. LOL
That is an adorable set...and the interior fabric really completes it.
Thanks - yah that interior fabric was just an accident... It wasn't cheap, but I knew when I saw it that I must have it. LOL
Cheering for Ali to make her goals for her letter and to save her shins with some well earned resting this weekend.
Thanks Ruth... Me too!
I am so glad it's Friday. I have such a flexible schedule that Fridays are generally just another day. Not this week: we had a point of sale/reservations system upgrade and my department had our hands tied for a full day - it went down at about 3pm Tuesday and wasn't fully functional until about 3pm Wednesday. I'm usually pretty level headed and things don't effect me much but being without the most important program for my job had me a little crazy by the end of the day. I've had alcohol twice this week - usually it's more like once a month. Thank heaven for hard cider.
I can't imagine how stressful that must have been. HOpefully everything is going good now and you are back to normal.
Praying more than ever for you now, Ruth. Heart/brain disconnect does not sound good.
I agree!
We are hoping to go in January too! I will go follow your trip report, because Lord knows I'd just create one and never actually write it!
Aren't you in my August FB group too? Do our trips overlap? And then Jan too - how fun!!! Forgive me if I am slightly confused... I sometimes have issues deciphering real names vs. Dis names.
Oh my goodness, could the Marie bag be any cuter? The appliqué is perfect and the interior fabric is to die for! Love it!
Thanks! I love it too - it's a great fabric!
V's nails are adorable! Would she like to do mine before my trip? I could never do that myself!
LOL I asked her the same thing. I told her that she must do that one again for our trip too - it's just so cute!
I finally got all my coupons organized in my binder so I can utilize the way I'm supposed to! As a result, I've done great at staying on budget this pay period! It's so nice saving my family money again! Hopefully there will be a little left over in the grocery budget for the Disney fund! Thanks for inspiring me to get back on track!
YAY!!!!!! I know, I am looking forward to tomorrow's paper - after last week with the holiday and barely any coupons, I am looking forward to a good coupon week tomorrow.
Speaking of on tack, I must get back to work! Gotta earn some money for Disney! I'm toying with adding a day at the beginning of our trip so every penny counts!
Yay!!! I hope you get your extra day!
Bag #2 for Liddy??? NO FAIR! It is so cute, though!!! Love the colors and the interior fabric...another wonderful creation!
Thanks and LOL... Liddy's dd has been on my list for a year now - so she has been waiting a long time. Not sure if she knows she's been waiting though?
Glad to see Ruth post..continued prayers and best wishes for no issues with health and employment
I agree!
Enjoyed seeing the pictures of Alli (you go girl !! just take care of those shins) and V's Mike nail very cute
Thanks Ruthie!
Now I have to say the Marie bag is one of my favorites, loved the Paris lining how appropriate great job
Thanks! I just love it too!
Little bitty update on me: will be starting physical therapy 3x s a week and hope it will be next week or the week after because I really can't be patient with this old body much longer I want ME back I know it will take months but the sooner I start the better
RuthIE
Thanks for the update Ruthie - I was going to ask how you were doing yesterday, and then I was sidetracked - so your update was perfect timing. I am so happy that you are starting PT, and hopefully your body cooperates with you - so that when the girls and I get there in - ahem - 134 days - we can

Please keep us updated on your progress, and I will continue to pray for smooth sailing.
I love love love the Marie bag. It rocks. Great colors.
Thanks Chiara!
I love the Marie bag! The fabric is fabulous!
Thanks!
Love the Marie bag. My eldest DD met Marie a couple of years ago in Epcot. A dream come true for her. She has always loved Marie, although ironically not a fan of the movie. I can't wait for her to get home from work so I can show her this bag!
That's awesome!
Glad you got to spend your Friday with your BFF even if couponing wasn't in the deck. I can relate a high school friend & I reunited after years of loosing touch so we have been getting together every Friday ourselves to make sure we don't loose touch again.
That is awesome! It's so much fun, isn't it? I talk to BFF almost every day... She sits up in my sewing room on speaker phone and chats with me while I work - so I must admit that when we are together, we sometimes don't have much more to say. But it's fun to hang out.
That's great Alli is doing so well already.
We are so proud of her!
V's nails look awesome. If it's okay we might need to borrow that theme. Is she a huge Monsters Inc. fan. Or was it more of a whim?
I am sure she won't mind - I think she found the idea on Pinterest. She does love MI - it is one of her favorites. She loves Boo.
Prayers for Ruth's medication issue to be okay & a quick resolution to her health & employment issues.
And prayers for Ruthie that her PT goes well.
Have a great weekend D~
I agree... HOpefully everyone is back to their good health in no time.
Thank you ( and DeesKnees) I am being cautiously optimistic that I am going to be able to do everything I did before (from lifting 50 lb bags of horse feed and dog food to tossing bales of hay again)
I really hope so too.
Dr seems to think (even though I'm an old broad) since I was in pretty good shape before this and the bone is healing nicely after only a little over 2 months that I may just get there again
This IS good news!!! I am very happy to hear this!
Thank you all everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and especially to you D and Marianne for getting me the helpful angels that come every week and have committed to do so for as long as needed
RuthIE
I am just so happy that we were able to help! I was so worried about you, and I am still flabbergasted that we were able to find someone - that's a miracle in itself! It was meant to be - I am certain of that.
Love the newest bag. It is totally awesome! The 3-d bows really add some extra zing to it too.
Thanks Diane!
That Marie bag is adorable!! Love the fabric you were able to get for the inside of it!
Thanks!
Hope Alli starts to feel better with her shin splints.
Me too - hopefully she can really rest them and baby them this weekend.
Glad you were still able to go visit with your BFF even if it didn't include your shopping. Have a great weekend!
Well - we did do a LITTLE bit of shopping....
**********************************************************
I did have a little bit of a hectic morning yesterday... I wanted to be on the road to BFF's house by 9:30 - but I had so much I needed to get done before I left, that I didn't leave home until then.
But I managed to work out, take pictures of my latest bag, shower/dress/get ready, I made a batch of Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oats (Num!)... I even brought some with me for BFF to have for breakfast.
She has been babysitting another friend's little dd all week while they move - she is just the cutest little girl, but she in only 3 y/o - so it was a bit weird having a munchkin with us yesterday. But she was soooo good (much better than any of our own girls ever were - LOL) - so I can't complain.
I had to run to JoAnn's yesterday... Ever since JoAnn's got this new number/ticket system at our store - it has just been a total nightmare. It wasn't bad yesterday - but when I was there a few weeks ago - it was crazy. I've vowed to never shop at JoAnn's again unless it's right at opening.
We also made a stop at the Natural Food Co-Op. I don't normally shop at this one, but I kind of liked it. Much more selection and much better prices than the natural food sections and stores nearer to me. I did grab a couple of items... Darn food samples get me... Every. Single. Time.
Coupon bargain ahead:
Then we had to stop at the other Target to pick up my Gift Card refund from my shopping trip last week. I did not bring my binder with me, because I didn't want to get sucked into shopping... However - I did end up buying one thing... Possibly TMI ahead for any males that may read: Target had clearanced out some Kotex pantyliners for .68*¢ each... BFF had her binder with - and she had 4 coupons for -$1.00 off of 2. So, I purchased 8 packages for a grand total of (drum roll....) $.63¢ after my coupons, Team Member discount and Red Card disount. And YES - I did put .63¢ on my Red card - LOL - just to get the disount.

So, my official savings was $4.81 or 88%!
Then we went to her house and she made me lunch before I headed home.
I was going to take a nap once I got here - but instead, I was sucked into Pinterest.
Sorta funny story ahead:
Last night at dinner - Josh received a phone call. Normally we don't answer the phone during dinner - but it was a number he didn't recognize, so he took the call. Here it was a builder that I had sent the rough draft blue prints of our Garage addition/Bathroom addition/Kitchen remodel... LOL I'd forgotten to tell DH that I'd asked for a bid on it.

Oops! I just wanted to know how much it was going to cost us, to see if there was any hope of getting it done before Alli's grad party in 3 years...

So, all last night, after dinner - we sat here trying to come to some sort of compromise of what we wanted.

It didn't go horribly, but it didn't go smooth either. After several hours - I think we finally came to some sort of compromise. It's so hard to fit everything we want into such a small space.
So, that was my fun for last night.
Today - I plan to work on one of my BIG auction bags - hopefully I can finish it up, and start on the coordinating wallet.
I hope you all have an amazing day and a wonderful weekend!
D~
