I loved your GAC holders that you offered in the Mainstreet auction. And your latest bag is cool too. Great work as always!
Thanks Loree!
I still can't believe the whole stolen coat scenario! Hopefully that girl has learned the lesson that she can't take other people's stuff. Good for Alli in taking back control and following up with the police!
I know! I hope so too... I really need to follow up with the officer today - my week was so chaotic last week, and the remainder of this week will be much the same.
My thoughts have been with Ruthie as I have followed along and I am happy that she is getting help with her animals finally. My MIL & FIL are in Deland, Florida until the end of the month and I was just about to e-mail them to see if they or some of their friends could go over and help out a bit. Will continue to keep Ruthie in my thoughts as she heals.
I know - it is such a relief! I was laying in bed last night, and I felt horrible that I haven't heard from her or anything all weekend. I plan to text her later today to see how she is doing.
I love going to RV shows! Our local one is in the next couple of weeks and we will be going to check it out. It is always funs to go drool over the new RVs out there. We tented for years and loved it. Most of the time we were camping for a couple of days in the middle of a field next to a race track so we had to be self sufficient (no hookups, water, toilets, showers, etc.). Then a couple of years ago I found an older motorhome that we were able to afford and that met our needs. DH likes to tease me that he had to buy the motorhome just so I had a place to go to the bathroom, but deep down he really likes the fact that he can have a shower after he is done racing!

Here is a picture of our setup:
As you can see, its a little bigger than what you are looking at.

But considering we spend almost every other weekend from May to October and a couple of weeks in the summer in it, it is worth it. I don't think I could ever go back to tenting now. One thing our friends did before buying their camper, was to rent a couple of different ones to try it out before they bought. They are glad they did as they found out that they didn't really like the layout of the one they were thinking of buying.
LoL - yes that is a bit bigger than what we were thinking of doing...
I have the worst issues with the new campers though (yours seems to be old enough that I'd like it though) - I cannot stand thecheapness of new campers, it drives me crazy (kind of like nails on a chalkboard crazy)... I am relatively certain, that if we do get a camper that isn't a teardrop, it will have to be something that is pre-1970 that is either partially restored or all the way restored... It seemed that every trailer we went into at the RV show was built so cheaply with cheap materials and just - I dunno... I love the romantic feel of a vintage trailer. I definately don't want anything huge - I really don't care if it has a bathroom... Sigh.
So many dreams... So little cash.
Hmmm, Bourne movies. DS would probably like those. I'll have to remember to look for them sometime. We started watching the Harry Potter movies again as DS received the last two for Christmas. I think #6 is waiting in the DVD player for this afternoon's entertainment. Unless we decide to go sledding after all the snow we received Friday! Either way, it will be some good family fun together!
I hope you had lots of fun and enjoyed which ever movie you decided to watch.
Awww - I love these movies too!
Sounds fun, glad you had a nice day!
Thanks! It was a nice relaxing day.
I love Anne of Green Gables I have all of the PBS movies. They are some of my favorites. I also love the A & E Pride and Prejudice which is one of my go to things to watch.
Pride and Prejudice is one that is on my bucket list to see - I have not seen it yet...
I also want to start watching Downtown Abbey, because I think that would be right up my alley too, but I would need to buy the DVDs, because by the time I knew it existed, it's was completely through the second season.
II love the new bag it is gorgeous.
Thanks!
II think you are very brave to camp. That is just not my thing though if I was ever going to do it we would have to have a real camper or RV. I am not big into roughing it.
I don't mind roughing it - to a point... I will never ever rough it like we did before we were married... My idea of roughing it is a State Park or KOA.

That park we went to, before we were married, up past Duluth - where we had bears in our camp all weekend long... Yup... No more "roughing it" for D~!
Ahhh Camping....
NOT!
My idea of roughing it is staying at a Holiday Inn with no Room Service!
Sorry...
Nini
LOL I totally get that... I was the same way for quite a few years after the bear incident.
I devoured the Ann of Green Gables books when I was growing up. I think ive seen at least one of the movies, but it's been a while.
I have never read the books...
Now, the Bourne movies...I like Legacy the best, but then again I like Jeremy Renner better than Matt Damon. But I like action films.
We have not seen the latest one - I think it's Legacy? I

Matt Damon though...
Have a great rest of the weekend!
Thanks - I hope you did too!
You think I wouldn't wear them?? You would be wrong my dear

Yep, I am THAT cool!
This is going to be a riot!
Can't wait to see the pictures of this meet
Me neither.
D~ The Aurora bag is great. I really like the detail you did above the pocket, such a cute idea.
Thanks! That was one of my favorite parts too.
Your Anne of Green Gables day sounds like fun. I love that little camper but I think you have to have the matching car/station wagon. Maybe you could get a giant camper and then tow the Jeep. You might want to get one big enough for a little sewing room. Josh can drive while you sew. You should put that on your list after the Sewing Cruise you take us all on when you win the lottery.
I agree... See, I think we need the whole vintage set-up... I think it would be so much fun to travel around in a restored vintage pick up towing a small vintage camper trailer. Unfortunately, Josh does not see my vintage appeal... He firmly believes that "newer is better" and I am just the opposite... Give me something old any day! So, I am afraid that I may get a vintage camper (if I am lucky), but I am sure he will want to tow it with a new pick up.
When I mentioned the other night that I wanted a spot in the camper for my sewing machine - he rolled his eyes at me and basically told me I was daft.

Does he expect me not to make a living?
Hope V is enjoying all that bubble gum!
LOL - I think it was gone in less than an hour...
Love the new bag. Great idea for the pink/blue!
Thanks! But the pink/blue theme was actually the customer's request - so, technically - that part wasn't my idea.
Glad you had fun at the RV show. I've seen a special on tv of the little teardrop campers and thought they were so cute. Not sure I would want something that small. I thought the airstream you referenced was adorable! That would be more to my liking I think. But one time when we were tent camping, we saw a couple with one of the minivan campers and it was very appealing. They invited us in to see it and I couldn't believe how roomy it was yet had everything you needed to cook and sleep.
I loved that little Airstream... but (cough, cough) at $48k - there is just no way. But it is the perfect size and the perfect layout of what I want... I want a booth in the front - a little kitchen in the middle and a bed in the back.
And now, for a bit of a highjack:
Ok, so remember DH and I were going to the Home and Garden show? Well, I still can't believe it, but...drum roll please...I ended up buying a new Babylock sewing/embroidery machine!!!! What?! DH and our friends were looking at a booth I wasn't interested in so I was just standing there minding my own business when I spotted this huge city block size display of machines. Of course I had to wonder over and take a look. I won't bore you with the details, but 1/2 an hour later I was holding a bill of sale in my hand!! I'm trading in my 12 year old Brother 8500 and getting a machine that someone brought in to trade up to the next model, so with that and the deal for the show and $ off for paying cash, it was only slightly insanely priced. I go up today to get it. The store is an hour away, but I'll be going for lessons there too. I'm so excited!
This is SOOOOO AWESOME!!! I hope you will show pictures of it when you get is home! Congratulations on the new machine!

Yesterday was totally uneventful and boring... LOL
First of all... I spent my morning on the computer with a cup of coffee - looking at a flickr album of vintage campers = drool.
Then I was chatting with Suzi and Mo on FB... Mo had just got a delivery of donuts... Suzi had just put a pan of Sugar Donut muffins into the oven... I was craving donuts in a bad way... So Suzi shared her recipe - and OMG Num.... They were super easy to make and super delicious to eat! That recipe is a keeper!
So, after a while - the family wanted to play Mario Kart... So we all sat there in our jammies (even Josh) and played MK aaaalllllll daaaaaay... We didn't stop until it was time to make dinner. LOL We love Mario Kart... Typically Alli or V wins - Josh always seems to come in third and I hold up the rear - but I do give it my best effort.
Josh made his famous sloppy-joes for dinner with home made french fries which are TDF! And the dinner conversation was how Josh had wrecked the girls forever because of what a great cook he is.

It's the truth, I promise.
It was just the perfect lazy day.
My week ahead is crazy - to be quite honest. I need to make today really count in my sewing room, because it's really the only day I have to work continuiously in there... The rest of the week is FULL of appointments for all of us.
Friday - I plan to do my bi-weekly grocery shopping trip with BFF... I spent some time yesterday clipping coupons, meal planning and doing my grocery list.
I hope you all have a wonderful day today!
D~
