Hope they can clear up the whole gall bladder thing. I have a friend who has survived two natural childbirths, kidney stones and gall stones and she swears that the most unbearable was the gall stones. Just to give your imagination more to work with.:rotfl:

The Aurora bag is an interesting concept. Beautiful work, as always.

Glad you had fun at the RV show. The only way I would go camping is if we had a camper. I do not like the great out-doors unless there is a structure to go to at night. DH's idea of retirement for a while was to buy an RV and travel the country. We blame his possible gypsy heritage. ;)

Was wonderful to hear that RuthIE's dogs were behaving (for the most part) and her horse will have good care. That should help her heal too; less stress about her 4 legged family.

Idk d........ First summer I took v camping it was a little muddy. Second summer it was gorgeous. Third summer, it rained a day. Last summer it rained for 5 days... Our campsite was a swamp, our firepit couldn't hold the water. We have an old tent trailer so it's not as if we were in tents but we were lucky we were at my aunts campground and she had a nice big seasonal trailer...

I shudder thinking of rain and that itty itty trailer. It's super ute tho!

Love the fairy frost I've bookmarked it this time. I'll see if I can find anything similar or sparkly at joanns in April when we go to michigan, if no I'll be order some. I want to make a fireworks dres for V.

Love te pink and blue aurora, what a fab idea!

What a fun idea with the pink/blue Aurora bag!!! Love it!!!

Good luck deciding what to do with the trailer. We grew up tent camping until my parent's decided they didn't want to sleep in tents anymore. Then they got a small trailer. But they've always had trucks so didn't have to worry about how to tow it.

I can relate to V...when I got my braces off I ate a whole bunch of caramels :rotfl2: and made myself sick

love the little camper, would be fun for you all! I agree tent camping is the pits...done it twice and never again! need some comfort!

LOL - Yah - sounds like your diets are quite similar.

Yah - I haven't tent camped since before we were married... We tent camped one 4th of July in northern MN and had bears in our campsite all weekend (I swear we never left our food out) - it was so bad that the owner of the camp site gave Josh a gun to sleep with... Um - no thanks... Packed up our camping gear and I've never camped since... Josh takes the girls out occasionally -but only to KOAs. :rotfl2: I won't let them go anywhere else.

Hope they can clear up the whole gall bladder thing. I have a friend who has survived two natural childbirths, kidney stones and gall stones and she swears that the most unbearable was the gall stones. Just to give your imagination more to work with.

Me too, thank you Ruth. :lovestruc Well, I just hope that is what I have - if so, it's an easy fix (so I've been told).

The Aurora bag is an interesting concept. Beautiful work, as always.

Thank you. I really had fun putting it together... I had it laid out in so many different ways, but in the end, I decided to make it simple and do the genuinely 1/2 pink and 1/2 blue concept.

Glad you had fun at the RV show. The only way I would go camping is if we had a camper. I do not like the great out-doors unless there is a structure to go to at night. DH's idea of retirement for a while was to buy an RV and travel the country. We blame his possible gypsy heritage.

LOL I have no desire to buy an RV and travel the country - yet. If we didn't do the teardrop, I think we would end up getting a small van type camper - I don't think we would do a trailer... :confused3 I dunno... So many things about the teardrop really appeal to me. We'll see... I am pretty sure we are talking YEARS down the road yet...

Was wonderful to hear that RuthIE's dogs were behaving (for the most part) and her horse will have good care. That should help her heal too; less stress about her 4 legged family.

I know - I totally agree... HOpefully now that everything (hopefully) is taken care of, she can concentrate on healing.

Yes Fairy Frost thanks!

:thumbsup2

Great bag
Sounds like you had a great time at the RV show

Thanks Lillian... One more day for you!! WHOOT!!! This is going to be such an amazing trip!

Yes, there is always a chance of rain... And I agree - it would be kind of sucky... We have talked about that. The worst part - I think - wouldn't be us, but MM... I have no desire to have a wet and muddy dog in my bed... :confused3 For Josh and I - I wouldn't mind cozying up with a good book on a rainy day or two. I don't think we would ever go for an extended period of time - at least not at first.

There are also many ways that you can set up a tent/screen tent/canopy around the galley, so that you can cook and prepare meals with out getting wet - they are much more versitile than you'd think - and I think that is why they appeal to me so much.

I shudder thinking of rain and that itty itty trailer. It's super ute tho!

I agree to some extent... If it was just Josh and I (which it probably will be, this would be more for after the girls go off to college and we are bored) - I don't see too big of a problem with it... I just don't want a wet MM in our bed.

One of the options we are looking at is the bed that flips up into a couch - which would be good for wet and rainy days, because then MM would be laying on the floor of the trailer and not our matress... :confused3

Love the fairy frost I've bookmarked it this time. I'll see if I can find anything similar or sparkly at joanns in April when we go to michigan, if no I'll be order some. I want to make a fireworks dres for V.

Sounds adorable! Glad I could help out.

Thanks Sandra... We have a truck too - it's just not fun like the Jeep is - ya know? So, theoretically we could tow a heavy trailer - we just don't want to. LOL

**********************************************************

As you all saw, I finished up my bag yesterday... I was happy to get it out to the mail box before the post man came - so it's well on it's way to it's new home. :lovestruc

Yesterday afternoon, I went over to my neighbor's for an Anne of Green Gables movie marathon... I love that movie! Unfortunately - she thought she had the second movie and so did I - but neither of us did, so we only got to watch the first one... Oh well. We vowed to resume at a later date. It was fun though, because we hung out in our jammies and ate snacks all day long. popcorn::

Then last night, I came home and had to make a late dinner... I cringe to think what my family would do with out me... 7pm and no dinner on the table??? :confused3 So, I threw some pork chops in the oven and some orzo on the stove - and we had a late 8pm dinner.

Afterwards, we all sat down in the livingroom and watched the Bourne Ultimatum... The girls had never seen any of the Bourne movies (and we own the first two) - so after watching the 3rd one on TV last night, they dug out the first one and started watching it... :rolleyes1 I have a feeling we will we watching the remainder of the first one this afternoon and probably the 2nd one too.

My BFF is probably coming to visit today with her dd... My girls have not spoken to her dd since the "birthday incident" and my bff is trying to smooth it over. We'll see how that goes?

Otherwise - I hope you all have a wonderful day today! :lovestruc

I loved your GAC holders that you offered in the Mainstreet auction. And your latest bag is cool too. Great work as always!

I still can't believe the whole stolen coat scenario! Hopefully that girl has learned the lesson that she can't take other people's stuff. Good for Alli in taking back control and following up with the police!

My thoughts have been with Ruthie as I have followed along and I am happy that she is getting help with her animals finally. My MIL & FIL are in Deland, Florida until the end of the month and I was just about to e-mail them to see if they or some of their friends could go over and help out a bit. Will continue to keep Ruthie in my thoughts as she heals.

I love going to RV shows! Our local one is in the next couple of weeks and we will be going to check it out. It is always funs to go drool over the new RVs out there. We tented for years and loved it. Most of the time we were camping for a couple of days in the middle of a field next to a race track so we had to be self sufficient (no hookups, water, toilets, showers, etc.). Then a couple of years ago I found an older motorhome that we were able to afford and that met our needs. DH likes to tease me that he had to buy the motorhome just so I had a place to go to the bathroom, but deep down he really likes the fact that he can have a shower after he is done racing! Here is a picture of our setup:
463305_10150930546195560_1538157015_o.jpg

As you can see, its a little bigger than what you are looking at. :rotfl: But considering we spend almost every other weekend from May to October and a couple of weeks in the summer in it, it is worth it. I don't think I could ever go back to tenting now. One thing our friends did before buying their camper, was to rent a couple of different ones to try it out before they bought. They are glad they did as they found out that they didn't really like the layout of the one they were thinking of buying.

Hmmm, Bourne movies. DS would probably like those. I'll have to remember to look for them sometime. We started watching the Harry Potter movies again as DS received the last two for Christmas. I think #6 is waiting in the DVD player for this afternoon's entertainment. Unless we decide to go sledding after all the snow we received Friday! :goodvibes Either way, it will be some good family fun together!

Sounds fun, glad you had a nice day!

I love Anne of Green Gables I have all of the PBS movies. They are some of my favorites. I also love the A & E Pride and Prejudice which is one of my go to things to watch.

I love the new bag it is gorgeous.

I think you are very brave to camp. That is just not my thing though if I was ever going to do it we would have to have a real camper or RV. I am not big into roughing it.

Ahhh Camping....

NOT!

My idea of roughing it is staying at a Holiday Inn with no Room Service!

Sorry...

I devoured the Ann of Green Gables books when I was growing up. I think ive seen at least one of the movies, but it's been a while.

Now, the Bourne movies...I like Legacy the best, but then again I like Jeremy Renner better than Matt Damon. But I like action films.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Won't you all be exctied when I make you your VERY OWN SET of ruffle butt bloomers to wear with an open back shirt to wear at the MOA when you come. :stir:

You think I wouldn't wear them?? You would be wrong my dear :cool2: Yep, I am THAT cool!

You think I wouldn't wear them?? You would be wrong my dear :cool2: Yep, I am THAT cool!
Can't wait to see the pictures of this meet ;)

D~ The Aurora bag is great. I really like the detail you did above the pocket, such a cute idea.

Your Anne of Green Gables day sounds like fun. I love that little camper but I think you have to have the matching car/station wagon. Maybe you could get a giant camper and then tow the Jeep. You might want to get one big enough for a little sewing room. Josh can drive while you sew. You should put that on your list after the Sewing Cruise you take us all on when you win the lottery. :thumbsup2

Hope V is enjoying all that bubble gum!

Love the new bag. Great idea for the pink/blue!

Glad you had fun at the RV show. I've seen a special on tv of the little teardrop campers and thought they were so cute. Not sure I would want something that small. I thought the airstream you referenced was adorable! That would be more to my liking I think. But one time when we were tent camping, we saw a couple with one of the minivan campers and it was very appealing. They invited us in to see it and I couldn't believe how roomy it was yet had everything you needed to cook and sleep.

And now, for a bit of a highjack:
Ok, so remember DH and I were going to the Home and Garden show? Well, I still can't believe it, but...drum roll please...I ended up buying a new Babylock sewing/embroidery machine!!!! What?! DH and our friends were looking at a booth I wasn't interested in so I was just standing there minding my own business when I spotted this huge city block size display of machines. Of course I had to wonder over and take a look. I won't bore you with the details, but 1/2 an hour later I was holding a bill of sale in my hand!! I'm trading in my 12 year old Brother 8500 and getting a machine that someone brought in to trade up to the next model, so with that and the deal for the show and $ off for paying cash, it was only slightly insanely priced. I go up today to get it. The store is an hour away, but I'll be going for lessons there too. I'm so excited!:yay:

Thanks Loree!

I still can't believe the whole stolen coat scenario! Hopefully that girl has learned the lesson that she can't take other people's stuff. Good for Alli in taking back control and following up with the police!

I know! I hope so too... I really need to follow up with the officer today - my week was so chaotic last week, and the remainder of this week will be much the same.

I know - it is such a relief! I was laying in bed last night, and I felt horrible that I haven't heard from her or anything all weekend. I plan to text her later today to see how she is doing.

I love going to RV shows! Our local one is in the next couple of weeks and we will be going to check it out. It is always funs to go drool over the new RVs out there. LoL - yes that is a bit bigger than what we were thinking of doing...

I have the worst issues with the new campers though (yours seems to be old enough that I'd like it though) - I cannot stand thecheapness of new campers, it drives me crazy (kind of like nails on a chalkboard crazy)... I am relatively certain, that if we do get a camper that isn't a teardrop, it will have to be something that is pre-1970 that is either partially restored or all the way restored... It seemed that every trailer we went into at the RV show was built so cheaply with cheap materials and just - I dunno... I love the romantic feel of a vintage trailer. I definately don't want anything huge - I really don't care if it has a bathroom... Sigh.

So many dreams... So little cash. :rolleyes1

Hmmm, Bourne movies. DS would probably like those. I'll have to remember to look for them sometime. We started watching the Harry Potter movies again as DS received the last two for Christmas. I hope you had lots of fun and enjoyed which ever movie you decided to watch.

Awww - I love these movies too!
Sounds fun, glad you had a nice day!

Thanks! It was a nice relaxing day.

I love Anne of Green Gables I have all of the PBS movies. They are some of my favorites. I also love the A & E Pride and Prejudice which is one of my go to things to watch.

Pride and Prejudice is one that is on my bucket list to see - I have not seen it yet...

I also want to start watching Downtown Abbey, because I think that would be right up my alley too, but I would need to buy the DVDs, because by the time I knew it existed, it's was completely through the second season.

II love the new bag it is gorgeous.

Thanks!

II think you are very brave to camp. That is just not my thing though if I was ever going to do it we would have to have a real camper or RV. I am not big into roughing it.

I don't mind roughing it - to a point... I will never ever rough it like we did before we were married... My idea of roughing it is a State Park or KOA. :wizard: That park we went to, before we were married, up past Duluth - where we had bears in our camp all weekend long... Yup... No more "roughing it" for D~!

Ahhh Camping....

NOT!

My idea of roughing it is staying at a Holiday Inn with no Room Service!

Sorry...

LOL I totally get that... I was the same way for quite a few years after the bear incident.

I devoured the Ann of Green Gables books when I was growing up. I think ive seen at least one of the movies, but it's been a while.

I have never read the books...

Now, the Bourne movies...I like Legacy the best, but then again I like Jeremy Renner better than Matt Damon. But I like action films.

We have not seen the latest one - I think it's Legacy? I :lovestruc Matt Damon though...

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Thanks - I hope you did too!

You think I wouldn't wear them?? You would be wrong my dear :cool2: Yep, I am THAT cool!

This is going to be a riot! :wizard:

Can't wait to see the pictures of this meet

Me neither. popcorn::

D~ The Aurora bag is great. I really like the detail you did above the pocket, such a cute idea.

Thanks! That was one of my favorite parts too. :lovestruc

I agree... See, I think we need the whole vintage set-up... I think it would be so much fun to travel around in a restored vintage pick up towing a small vintage camper trailer. Unfortunately, Josh does not see my vintage appeal... He firmly believes that "newer is better" and I am just the opposite... Give me something old any day! So, I am afraid that I may get a vintage camper (if I am lucky), but I am sure he will want to tow it with a new pick up. :confused3

When I mentioned the other night that I wanted a spot in the camper for my sewing machine - he rolled his eyes at me and basically told me I was daft. :confused3 Does he expect me not to make a living? :rolleyes1

Hope V is enjoying all that bubble gum!

LOL - I think it was gone in less than an hour... :faint:

Love the new bag. Great idea for the pink/blue!

Thanks! But the pink/blue theme was actually the customer's request - so, technically - that part wasn't my idea. :wizard:

Glad you had fun at the RV show. I've seen a special on tv of the little teardrop campers and thought they were so cute. Not sure I would want something that small. I loved that little Airstream... but (cough, cough) at $48k - there is just no way. But it is the perfect size and the perfect layout of what I want... I want a booth in the front - a little kitchen in the middle and a bed in the back. :wizard:

And now, for a bit of a highjack:
Ok, so remember DH and I were going to the Home and Garden show? Well, I still can't believe it, but...drum roll please...I ended up buying a new Babylock sewing/embroidery machine!!!! What?! This is SOOOOO AWESOME!!! I hope you will show pictures of it when you get is home! Congratulations on the new machine!

**********************************************************

Yesterday was totally uneventful and boring... LOL

First of all... I spent my morning on the computer with a cup of coffee - looking at a flickr album of vintage campers = drool.

Then I was chatting with Suzi and Mo on FB... Mo had just got a delivery of donuts... Suzi had just put a pan of Sugar Donut muffins into the oven... I was craving donuts in a bad way... So Suzi shared her recipe - and OMG Num.... They were super easy to make and super delicious to eat! That recipe is a keeper!

So, after a while - the family wanted to play Mario Kart... So we all sat there in our jammies (even Josh) and played MK aaaalllllll daaaaaay... We didn't stop until it was time to make dinner. LOL We love Mario Kart... Typically Alli or V wins - Josh always seems to come in third and I hold up the rear - but I do give it my best effort. :thumbsup2

Josh made his famous sloppy-joes for dinner with home made french fries which are TDF! And the dinner conversation was how Josh had wrecked the girls forever because of what a great cook he is. :lovestruc It's the truth, I promise.

It was just the perfect lazy day.

My week ahead is crazy - to be quite honest. I need to make today really count in my sewing room, because it's really the only day I have to work continuiously in there... The rest of the week is FULL of appointments for all of us.

Friday - I plan to do my bi-weekly grocery shopping trip with BFF... I spent some time yesterday clipping coupons, meal planning and doing my grocery list. ::yes::

I hope you all have a wonderful day today! :lovestruc

Congrats on the new machine. I need to bring mine in for service. Maybe this week my dad or DH could help me.

D good luck with your sewing today.

Thanks Christine... You know, this does make total sense. I do find that my diet does change how often I have the pain... When I am eating better - I definately have less occurances than when I am eating like crap. And I can almost guarantee that if I've had a bad eating day, I will have the pain. Also - Chipotle totally throws me into the pain, almost immediately... and it's always the worst... I've never been able to figure out why their food does that to me - the sad part is that it's my FAVORITE place to eat, but I've just had to swear it off completely. About a year + ago, I changed my diet drastically... I don't eat very many processed foods or fast foods - I try to eat as natural as I can, and to be honest, it hasn't helped much. :confused3 I told Josh yesterday that I hope they take my gallbladder out so I can eat at Chipotle again. :rotfl2:

Did they do a CT scan or sonogram? If food is affecting you, maybe schedule a visit with a gastro if it turns out to not be your gallbladder. And I do hope you figure it out soon so you can have your Chipotle!

ACK!!! Please keep us updated about this... I sure hope it turns out to be nothing! Sending prayers and good thoughts your way!

Thanks. I'm back to panic mode this morning. I go back and forth - yesterday I remembered over the summer I slipped going up the stairs (I fall upstairs, never down :confused3) and smashed my toe badly. So then I was hoping that maybe this was a residual effect of that and felt optimistic. Today not so much. I go tomorrow at 11:40, and then hopefully we will have results by next week.

Well, at this point in time... If we get a camper, I dont' know that I would ever get to go back to WDW again... :( And I am not sure that the camper we want to get would work so well at WDW, because it doesn't have a bathroom or shower... To be honest - I don't think we will be getting a camper for several years... I am too picky, and Josh won't spend the type of $$ that the camper I want costs (can't blame him - I won't spend it either)... So we are keeping our eyes open for a used one. ::yes::

Good idea to look for a used one! My aunt and uncle retired this past year, sold their house and bought a townhouse and an RV. They planned to drive from the Cape down to Florida and explore as much of the west coast of FL as they could in a certain amount of time, and then fly home (and store it there - I guess they have places for things like that). Then they would fly back several months later and continue on and go about their traveling that way. About two weeks into their trip I noticed his FB status said something about skiiing in Maine. I commented that I thought that was in the wrong direction - turns out their RV broke down in South Carolina so they left it to be fixed, and flew to ME to go skiing instead :lmao:

Thanks Lisa! Yah - I think V is getting used to it... The othodontist sent her home with a big bag of bubble gum and candy that she couldn't have while she had her braces on... Little did he know that it was all stuff we never really allow our girls to have anyways - still. Sugar really affects them and makes them crazy - I would have thought that they'd grow out of it by now, nope. LOL Oh well... I came home from work the other day - and V had 10 pieces of bubble gum in her mouth at once.

:rotfl2: This is going to be Aidan the day he gets his off!

There was only one teardrop camper at the RV show... But I was glad to see it, so I could really see the size of them. They are small, yes, and (WOW) expensive for what you get... They run between $10k-$20k depending on options.

Josh put that into perspective for me when we walked up to a 16' hard side camper that was $10k... WOW... So, we could get a teeny tiny bed with an outdoor kitchen - no bathroom for (average) $14k, or we could get an actual camper with an indoor bathroom, bed, kitchen and table/booth... Hmmm...

You would think that this would be a no brainer right? Um - no.

After walking through hundreds of little campers... The only one that really appealed to me and had exactly what I wanted was the little Airstream Sport - if you know anything about campers - the Airstreams are still condsidered "the best" and they are not cheap... Only $38k for the baby one. Cough, cough. Nope, not doin' that.

If you wanna see: http://www.airstream.com/travel-trailers/sport/photos-decor/

All of the other campers we looked at... I just can't wrap my mind around how "cheaply" they are built. I realize they do this for weight... but man - they are CHEAP!

Then we run into the "we would have to tow it with the truck, because the Jeep couldn't tow it"... Which totally eliminates the real reason we wanted to do this in the first place...

Our original vision is to take the Jeep out - top down - and enjoy the drive... Maybe pull a little camper behind it. If we got a big camper - this would totally make the original vision worthless.

So, then we are back to the tear drop... It's everything we want in one little package... It allows us to cook outside and be part of the action... but it allows us to sleep indoors and allows us to pull it behind the Jeep - which was our original intent.

Here is the one we got to see in person yesterday... It is made right here in MN: http://vistabule.com/?page_id=129

Then there is this one too... Which is more of what we want - but also the more expensive of the two: http://tinycamper.com/teardrop550ultra.htm We were a bit disappointed that this company wasn't there to see in person. These are built in Wisconsin... Josh and I have decided to take a day this summer and go for a drive to see if this is something we want to get someday.

Or we could just build one ourselves... but knowing us - by the time we put all of our hard work and effort into it (if we even managed to finish it in the first place) - we'd spend far more than having someone else build it for us in the first place.

This is just our dream... Like our vacations... this is something I would insist on paying cash for - so we'd be saving for a VERY LONG TIME.

But this is what really makes this sort of camping appeal to me...

OK - I am done talking about campers now.

This afternoon, I am headed over to one of my neighbor's - we are doing an Anne of Green Gables movie marathon - super excited... Next to The Parent Trap and Pollyanna... AoGG is at the top of my list for favorite movies.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! And for those of you in the path of Nemo - please stay safe and warm.

D~

Wow...so many camper decisions! Is there any place you can rent one and try it out to see if it is something you really want to invest in?

Which would you choose?

I love it!

:lovestruc

I hope things went well with your BFF's DD and the girls! And IKWYM about the dinner thing - when we get in late from hockey practice, everyone else is just sitting here. Dinner is made (in the crockpot or just needs to be heated quickly), but you'd think the table would at least be set so we could get to eating right away. :confused3 Although, in her defense, Clara will cook wonderful meals on weekends and days off, but not so much during the week.

Ok, that's it, I'm going to the attic and taking a look at that sewing machine today! Wish me luck :lmao:

 Just think you could go camping at Fort Wilderness if you ever buy a camper.

I am not the camping type.:lmao: The house in Maine is the most "roughing it" that I can get.

I love perfect lazy days at home with the family. Sometimes those are so much better than any planned event or outing.

My extended family has started doing a family game night the last Sunday of every month. We eat dinner and then play games and its so much fun. Everyone comes in sweats, relaxes and enjoys the company. I can't wait until our next one.
