Oh yeah...me and Josh...we are buddies
I'm the same way D. I LOVE to read...my Kindle Fire is a part of me for sure. I try to time things right so I finish a book when it's time to go to bed, so I don't have to pick up another one and start reading that same day. It is just too confusing to me. I still have the plot of the last one in my head and sometimes it doesn't jive with the new book

I will have to look up Kate Morton. I just finished re-reading one of my favorite series (Diana Gabaldon - Outlander) and am in need of something new. But I'm in the bad situation that we leave for vacation in a week...so I don't want to be almost done with something when we leave and have to start something new in the middle of the plane ride

So I have to either find a quick read that I can finish this week, or a series that will take me a while.
Yup - I am exactly the same way. And reading on a plane... Nope - I've tried it every time, and I just end up reading the exact same 3 pages over and over again.

I am better off with magazines.
I haven't really given the FPP much thought, but this sounds like it could be really helpful. I don't use many FPs anyway, so it should be easy to plan them out like that.
For the most part - I think Disney will do a good job with the FPP, they can't afford not to. The girls and I do try to strategically FP some rides. The only time I can see a problem for us - with all the speculation - is if you can't do the same ride twice... Because we like to FP Splash in the morning - then again in the afternoon, then as many times as we can in the evening.
Hey, anyone know if those new wristbands will be given to people that don't book a package?? We always do room-only and get our tickets from either
UnderCover Tourist or
AAA for a little discount. It doesn't look like they have any turnstyles at MK anymore from a picture I saw, so I would assume they give them to everyone

I'll have to go scope out a current TR to see.
It sounds to me, like anyone with a ticket will get some sort of FPP tool. From what I have read (again speculation) is that only Disney resort guests will get the wristbands, people that are just ticket holders will get some sort of RFID card.

Again - nothing confirmed.
Have a great weekend D!
PS. We are at 131 days til MOA!!! <---- see that's you, Mo, and I....aren't we cute!
Thanks, you too! Whoot!! It's coming fast!
Good Morning!
Imagine my surprise to see my Rapunzel dress on your TR! Thanks so much for the compliments! It was fun to make and Charlotte really loves wearing it, so it's all worth it. Thanks to others for their comments too. It really is encouraging.
Of course Lois... I had to go find it - I apologize that it took me so long to go look - it is just adorable. Especially since V and I just watched Tangled the other day when she was sick.
Lol...I'm not really reading two books at once. I can't stand to be idle and I found myself where I couldn't get to the book I was reading, so I picked up the one next to me and started it. The one I'm currently reading is the Forgotten Garden. I must say I'm enjoying it so far, but I haven't been reading as much as I'd hoped. DH informs me that tomorrow will be all day football, so that's my cue to read all day.
Yup - that one was my favorite of the two.

I hope you have a great day of reading today!
Thanks for sharing that info about Josh from easyWDW. I am dismayed that this happened to anyone. That was a terrible way to handle the situation! I do love touring plans anyway, so that will be my go to place from now on! No more easy WDW for me either!
Suzi is such a great person... So, if she is willing to forgive and forget, then so am I... It's just so hard because he was not very nice in that situation - and I am the friend defending type.
Two of my DGDs are much better, but the 15 month old is having quite a time with it. Now my DD has it too...and she is newly expecting! So she can't take anything at all. I'm sure they'll be fine eventually, but it does take time. Glad V is getting at least some of her assignments to complete before Tuesday. Make-up work is the pits!
Oh no - I Hope they are both doing better soon.
V has her assignments - she hasn't started working on them yet... Today she will though.
I just spent a huge amount on groceries at a place that sells mostly organic. I said exactly what you said: I hate to spend all I've got for food budget in the first couple of days. Makes for a loooong two weeks! We get all our meat from a place that raises their own cows, chickens and hogs. So much better than what you get pre-packaged and loaded with hormones and God only knows what else! Tends to be cheaper in the long run too. That ground beef/sausage combo sound good. I may try that.
We do too. We buy from our local meat market, who only buys from local farmers... So, that makes me feel better. For us - we buy in bulk twice a year, and it really saves a ton on groceries, and I think in the end it saves us $$. I like knowing that I never have to run to the store for meat, that it's just in the basement freezer. And yes, the beef/sausage combo is great... It's about $1.50 less/lb than regular ground beef and it's great in things that I like to use sausage in. I think it's about an 80/20% mixture.
Have fun this weekend and in your sewing room.
ETA: About the FPP, I haven't heard a lot about them, but your thoughts sound right on. They can be used to advantage, especially at HS! The other place it could work well is at Epcot for Test Track and Soarin. It will be interesting to follow this and see how it all turns out.
Yes, I totally agree about that. Because we always have to run to get Soarin' FPs then run to TT to ride - that is a great place that fpp would work to our advantage, as well.
Same with Space mountain and Splash... We could FPP Space... Then ride Splash like crazy before it gets busy.
happy to hear V is feeling better! and happy bday to Max, he looks cute in his hat!
THanks Lisa!
I need to read up on the FP+ too...but think it might be a bit different for us since we will be getting the premier AP (for both DLR/WDW) from what I've heard from Tink.
hope you get a bunch of sewing done this weekend!
Yes, you are probably right - but there is soooo much speculation out there right now, I would wait until you hear it directly from Disney.
I just want to say...Just because he was rude to me, doesn't mean he is rude to everyone. I shouldn't have used his pictures. But he should have sent me a PM instead of ruining my TR. I can't delete his posts or posts from the others he connected with me. It is too bad, but honestly...his site is great! He does a great job giving honest opinions on things. I don't want to turn away people from his site because of a stupid moment last year. Give it a look and decide for yourself if you like him Hey, Disney planning is tough...we can use all the help we can get!
And this is why you are such a good friend to me...

I sometimes hold on to things longer than I should, even though I try very hard to let them go. But I don't like to see my friends hurt... But if you are past this and willing to take such a high road, I will follow suit.
This is how I also have understood the FP +
It would be great not to have to run for FP for Toy Story. But it's not that great if you can only get 3 FP during the whole day. I'm guessing you can get more FP in a day with the normal FP.
There are rumors that the FP + will start already in February. I just have to wait and see if it's out when I'm there or if it gets out after I leave WDW. As for now I'm planning my park days as if FP + doesn't exist.
Oooh.... Yes, I think the limits that are rumored suck. But, I think if they let you plan your day with the current FP rules, it will be OK. When I think about our days in the parks, normally - we don't get many more than 4 or 5 FP through out the day anyways, so I would be OK with that, especially if I could plan them around our meals.
Classy Suzi
taking the high road is a good & gracious thing in lieu of a hat I take my
'Ears' off to you (but I'm putting them right back on )
LOL - I agree.
Here I come . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Ive been doing more flitting than lurking or stalking recently. Did you know theres a thread about weddings and honeymoons? Going to a Disney wedding is on my bucket list.
Anywho, I went back and few pages, so
Geeerrrrrrreeeaaattt Tigger bag (whoa, maybe Tony the Tiger says that, not Tigger.)
How do you have time to read in addition to sewing, working, and posting???
Glad to hear V is feeling better.
Happy birthday MM.
Youre going back to Disney World? You should do a PTR, to let people know about it!
Heres my PTR:
2/26 arrive MCO at 10:40 AM, senior son arrives 10:45. Magical Express to Polynesian, which will be a first for me and a surprise for my son. (Ill tell him before we go, Im thinking Ill have to come clean when I send him his ME info.)
Dinner at Les Chefs de France (not Remy time)
2/27 -- MK, hopefully lunch at Be Our Guest since dinner ADRs are impossible to come by
2/28 -- HS, dinner at Ohana New York city time 9:15 PM
3/1 -- senior son will get Magical Express about 5:30 PM at Poly so Im thinking of sticking around for Electrical Water parade which Ive never seen, then take a taxi to Pop Century. (Poly was a splurge for three nights, I just cant justify the cost for little ole me.)
3/4 -- Backstage Magic Tour
3/5 -- Bye Mickey
As you recall, last year I made a UPPB (Uber Perfect Pill Baggie) and I need to make another one for this trip. The theme for 2012 was days of the week, but Im open for suggestions for this years theme.
CHERYL!!!!!!!!!!! Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've missed you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could I forget your UPPB??? There was some pretty stiff competition between my UPB and your UPPB there for a while.

I think, this year, you whould go with the dates - that way there is no confusion.
Your trip sounds fabulous! I hope you'll stop by when you get home to tell us all about it - and how nice of you to let your DS stay at the Poly.
Oh, I think the house next door is going to open again this summer - are you packed yet?
Glad V is doing better!!! Love the puppy! Is that a goldie? Very pretty boy!
Yes, Max is a Golden... My 80ish Lb lap lander.

He is such a crazy man - but we love him!
Got the Tigger bag yesterday, so taking pics probably tonight. I LOOOOVEEEE It lady!! Big time!! I'm using the wallet already! I think I may attach my tigger pins to the bag or strap somehow, so I don't need another lanyard. It's gonna be hard not to use it too much before my trip next year. The wallet, yea. Use it all the time!! Anyways, very good work, LOVE it, and will post pics soon!!! Thank you SOOOOO much!! the most awesome birthday present I've ever gotten myself!
So glad you like it! I cannot wait to see pics... Please let me know where you post them.
If V started doing lanyards on order...I'd love some!! DH likes Grumpy, and DS likes Stormtroopers from Star Wars. And of course me the Tigger nut! So I'd totally buy 3, and maybe more, since we have a bunch of people coming for my 40th. That trip is getting outta hand!!!! LOL
I think she might take some orders in a few months... I was letting her take a couple orders right away - but her plate is really full already and she needs to concentrate on school work. I am making a waiting list, of sorts, though - and I will put you on that, so when she finishes up what she is working on, I will contact the next one in line...
Love this! It came out really really great! His tail is just perfect

And you're right...that interior fabric is awesome!
Thanks Suzi!
The Eeyore bag is awesome! I love the rain effect. I swear I just repeat myself everytime you post a bag but I really do love them all!
Got my package today. Absolutely love my lanyard! It is really well made and matches my bags. Tell V thanks again!
LOL Thanks! And I knew it would match your bags perfectly, since that was some of the fabric I had left from making them - so I knew you would love it.
Once again a great bag
Love how you made the zipper pull Eeyor's tale
Thanks Lillian!
Is this my bag?!? I hope so!! It's adorable and I love it
Jodi
Yup - that was your bag! Glad you like it.
FP+
Disney is not giving out a lot of information as to how it is eventually going to work...or about what stages it will be implemented...that way if there are problems they can change it up..
Here is the ONLY info that has been posted on the TA page so far...

of the MagicBand
It seems that it will be somehow connected with the mobile apps My Disney Magic (sometimes called My Disney Experience). Of course, when we were there in December it was having some serious issues. ( Even now it is liking to drop some of your ADR. )
I am thinking this could be a great thing for most people, but for people like me (who use a GAC) I don't see it helping a ton...although I have seen rumors that it will phase out the GAC (in a few years) in favor of the planning ahead thing...which would NEVER work for us....hard to plan on meltdowns! LOL!
I, personally can't wait to see how it all works together...I am a rather geeky type person anyway!
Nini
(sorry for typos etc...I am heavily medicated at the moment and should probably get OFF the computer!)
Thanks for taking the time to post all of this Nini! You are such a wealth of info to all of us, and we are so lucky to have you here.
We've been busy! Jeremy is back to his normal little self. But now Sarah, my DH and I are all sick!! I will say though I have the best husband ever!! He let me sleep in until noon today!! Needless to say I'll probably be heading back to bed though soon to nap while the kids nap. I feel that bad!!
Love the new Eeyore bag!! It turned out fantastic!!
Thanks Sandra! Oh NO!!! I hope you all are feeling better soon, and I hope you got in a nice nap yesterday.
The Eeyore bag is AMAZING!!! Your work is just beyond words at the moment! I adore all of them that you do!! Your talent is such a gift, and I hope you know how much my bag means to me. It's just awesome lady!! Very awesome!! I'll take pics tonight at my party, and post them tomorrow!
Thanks Christie! I am still so very happy that you like your bag.
Every bag is my new favorite!! Eeyores wonderful! I can't wait to see how the new fast pass works and hope the kinks are figured out by the end of February.
Thanks! And me too Ruth! Please let me know how it all works out for you in March.
D~ we're fine. The snow is completely gone for most of the area, but we still have some in the shady spots. The important thing is that we finally have sun! After close to two weeks of rain it's really bright
The tail is perfect! And I really like the raindrops.
Glad to hear you are doing well Ruth - and that you have some sun... Our temps have dropped about 40 deg over the last 12 hours and it is FRIGID here... I don't mind the snow at all - but I HATE the cold.
The new bag is cute, love the inside fabric!
Tell V....nice job on the pin lanyards!
And glad she is feeling better.
Thanks! I will!
I am also very curious about fpp. The one thing that does not sound appealing is can't fpp same attraction in one day. For us at HS, DD2 probably still won't be tall enough for many of the headliner rides, and so we love TSM! Last time we got to ride 4 times, sooo cool. But my arm was gonna fall off. So not sure I would be happy only riding once, unless you can do it again on another day. So I guess I just have to wait and see.
I know... I am not a huge TSM fan... I like to ride it once per trip - I agree, I don't like the arm falling off felling. LOL
And my husband (and I) are very excited about the new game. He told me he talked himself out of skylanders, but with this, since I am interested too, there will be no hope. Being a collector and a Disney fan... makes it impossible to not get excited about these things. Yikes!
I am super excited about it. I have all of our Skylander stuff boxed up and ready to Ebay to put the funds toward the Disney Infinity game. Now, I just have to get them listed. I know I won't get nearly what I paid for them... but at least I will get something - I hope.
What an adorable Eyeore bag!! I can see why it was such a headache to get it just right. But you did it! Absolutely enchanting!
Thanks Lois!
What a great attitude! It just upsets me so much to read hateful, unnecessary comments. Being anonymous seems to make people say things they probably would never say in person to someone. We all make mistakes, though, and I think Josh made a huge one. Hopefully, upon reflection, he's sorry he handled it that way. Bless you for being so forgiving. I will follow suit.
I agree totally, I never should have brought it up... I just get so mad when people do things like that... I probably wouldn't have been so upset about it, if it was just him, but he brought along 5 or 6 other people and kind of ganged up on her. But if Suzi is taking such a high road, I will too, and let it go. But, personally - I still subscribe to TP.
I think you will still be able to get regular fastpasses for TSM. I think my plan of action would be to have my first FP+ be for RNrC, so I would go get a regular fastpass for TSM, ride TSM, then use my FP+ to ride RnRc. At least, I think that is what I could do. Still a lot of gray area IMO!
I agree, there is still a lot of gray area... I am just going to watch it all unfold and pray the website is working when I do my ADRs exactly one month from today.
**********************************************************
Yesterday was kind of nuts here...
At about 9am, Josh decided it was tax day. Which means... I had to get all of my business tax stuff ready.

It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, but it did take us a few hours to get it all sorted. Thankfully Josh helped me with all of it.

It looks like we will be getting a bit of a refund. I am hoping to get a little out of the deal, and hopefully enough to pay for airfare... As a conscession - I would be willing to give Josh enough for a few things he's been wanting for his Jeep. The rest would go towards the house and bills. All in good fun.
I was able to package up all of my order from the auction and my Eeyore bag... All of which will be going out in the mail on Tues (Yikes - I forgot that Monday was a holiday).
I also started on my next order... This one needs to be done asap - as this person leaves for WDW in less than 2 weeks... I hope to have it out the door and in the mail by Tues... Wed at the absolute latest. Which means, I will be spending some time in my sewing room today.
Nothing else exciting or fun going on at the moment. I hope you all have a fantastic day!
D~
