~ Aug 2013~ Sew what... We've gotta find a way back! Part I!!

I will be refreshing my computer every five minutes today until the pictures are posted! :) popcorn::

We usually pay for "signature dining" out of pocket. We're not huge eaters and paying out of pocket always is more cost effective for us. We always have a lunch of salad and dessert at the Brown Derby also that we pay out of pocket for. We would never eat the whole dinner there.
I'm feeling much better! I have a stress test with dye tomorrow morning. I'm not looking forward to it ! I still have some shortness of breath with any exercise but it IS better. I'm going back to work the week after Thanksgiving. Gotten used to being home, though I sure miss the paycheck. Disability is just not enough.
Have a great day and continue to make those beautiful bags!

you have to try CRT...just for seeing the inside is worth the $$ we've done all three meals and enjoyed them all!

sorry you have to postpone your anniversary trip, hope you can still have a nice evening out somewhere!

I love how the colors of Pluto pop on the black of this bag - I quilted it in the same color of green as his collar, which was super nerve racking at the end, because I had about 18" of thread left on my spool... :faint: Talk about cutting it close. :worship:

And I swear I lint rolled this bag, but because it was such a dreary day, I had to shine my work light on it - and it sure doesn't look like I did any lint rolling at all... But I promise - all the lint you now see is just your imagination, because I pointed it out. :wizard:

That Pluto bag is Mine, Mine Mine, Mine!!!

D - I cannot tell you how much I love this bag. It is exactly what I pictured in my head including the black background and the Pluto doghouse on the wallet. I don't know how but you read my mind! :goodvibes

I am sitting at my desk at work right now shaking with excitment and with tears in my eyes! Just hoping no one walks in right now. :rotfl:

WOW!!! LOVE Pluto!!!! I have to say all your stuff is just amazing and I know everyone says the latest is their fav but I really love, love, love Pluto!!!!

I love the polka dots. My tom boy who loves Pluto & Stitch and all Disney animals hates polka dots. How can one hate polka dots? That is probably why I love them-don't get a chance to use them too much.

Love the dog house! Love the tail! Love the simplicity of it yet the utter perfection at the same time.:worship:

Sorry I haven't been around. This is my insane time of year. I was having a frustrating day today and needed a bit of a break so had to see your latest creation. Thanks so much for the distraction! All the VPs are at a planning meeting offsite today so I can't really solve my issues today.

OH...and I have to blame you for my latest purchase! I put an offer in for a DVC contract.:lmao: It is a resale that I'm waiting to hear if Disney exercised their right of first refusal on. I expect to hear next week. I kept thinking DVC wouldn't work for me because I would need a few thousand points and I didn't think I could commit to going to Disney that often for the next 30+ years. Finally hit me when you started talking DVC that I didn't need enough points for all my current trips to make DVC still work for me. I can use the points I have now for my annual family trips and then when/if the kids outgrow Disney :sad2: I would be able to use the points for trips I know I will still be taking.

Hope to be able to get caught up on the rest of your TR soon.

Cool. :)

Pluto looks great and the dog house is super cute. Love the way he pops off the black background and how you mixed the solids with the dots. Glad you got it finished before you ran out of green thread.

Ummm, good to know Josh thinks you are "getting" good. He obviously hasn't seen my hand applique! Clearly you have skewed his perception with your high quality work. I am sure he will appreciate all the appliques you will be putting on your new line of doggie shorts.

Bummer about your anniversary trip.

Ahhh such a great Pluto bag!!! I love how he wraps around the bag. too cute!!!

I loved the Donald bag, but I am IN LOVE with the Pluto bag. Just too darn cute. :yay::yay::yay:

D~

You outdid yourself again with the Pluto set! Love it!

WOW! What an outstanding bag! You've proven that your bags only keep getting better and better. I love how Pluto wraps around the bag and how his tail is a ribbon. I can't believe that you can actually write Pluto on his dog house with your sewing machine. You are amazing!

Absolutely LOVE the Pluto bag. So many great bags, not sure which is my favorite, but this is up pretty high on the list of favs.

I looked at CRT receipt. It was $57 per person total when we went in June. You could always start to book and then cancel before paying to find out the price or call and ask. There is no good way that I know of to find prices because of the way they change the price for the seasons.

I have to agree with you... I think it may be easier for us to just pay OOp, but because CRT is one flat rate, I might look at seeing if it will be better to use dining credits, then pay OOP at two other restaurants... And if so, which ones?

I am glad you are feeling better Ruth - Kind of scary to go back to work after all you've been through, but I know - the bills need to be paid.

Yah - I am thinking I will surprise her with CRT... The problem is that she wants to plan all our meals this trip (like Alli did last time)... So, we sat down and we all decided which meals we want to do, and then she took the notebook from me and said "now I am going to plan our meals..." :scratchin I thought we just did that? LOL So, I am curious what else she comes up with - I don't think she realizes that we only have so many meals we are allowed to do. LOL

It's OK that we have to postpone our anniversary... Every year, we barely adknowledge it anyways - usually dinner, sometimes a card. I just thought that maybe since this year is a big one, we might actually do something fun - but then the girls gave us their Christmas lists, and we decided that we would much rather give to them... However, I am still hoping for maybe a weekend get-a-way somewhere. :lovestruc

That is probably one of my faves! Josh was right, very pretty.

Thanks Judy... And glad to see you out n' about again... I know things have been so stressful in your life right now.

Super excited that you love it!!! I always get so nervous when I show my bags... I promise I didn't read your mind though. :crowded: I put it in the mail yesterday, and updated Paypal with your tracking info. :thumbsup2

I have never heard of someone not liking dots before. :confused3 LOL

Awww... Thanks. :thumbsup2

I was wondering where you were, I was just talking to the girls about you the other day, because they were looking at the silhouette I have of Rufus hanging in my sewing room, so the asked who gave it to me... YOu should have felt your ears burning that day. :lovestruc

I am so glad you are doing well and took the time to check in.

ROFL!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Glad I could help you out. I still wanna do it so badly - but I have a feeling that it will be a splurge for later in my life. Please let me know how you like it, when you get a chance to use it. :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Another Beauty!!!

Thanks Mo!

Cool.

Thanks! I know - I was really nervous for a little while there... I kept asking myself if I should start the next piece or not? I swear that last layer of thread on my spool lasted longer than normal... I kept consoling myself that if I ran out, I still had a couple layers on a bobbin that I could use - but I never needed it. LOL

LOL I know - I kind of laughed at him when he said that. :scratchin

It's OK about our anniversary trip... We still have plans to do other fun things together, and I am hoping to have a nice weekend get-a-way soon. :lovestruc

Ahhh such a great Pluto bag!!! I love how he wraps around the bag. too cute!!!

Thanks Sandra... I loved that too! I love it when I can make it work like that.

I loved the Donald bag, but I am IN LOVE with the Pluto bag. Just too darn cute.

Thanks Kathy! :thumbsup2

You outdid yourself again with the Pluto set! Love it!

Thanks Sheila! It's great to see you! I've been wondering how you are doing?

Thanks Diane... Yah - I was a bit surprised when "Pluto" acutally turned out and looked like his name. LOL See, sometimes I even surprise myself. :rotfl2:

Thanks! Yup, that is probably what I will do... I still have a few months before I can start booking ADRs, so I have a bit of time to save. :thumbsup2

**************

I had a productive day in my sewing room yesterday... I finished the last of the huge portion of my SSP. :cool1: Now I have a bunch of little stuff to do. I want to be completely done with it by Sunday, so any down time I have next week can be spent on writing descriptions.

I have a huge custom order for next week, so I wouldn't have any SSP time anyways. ::yes::

I plan to buy a couple of Disney GCs when I go into town today... I had some extra cash last week, and I am also returning something I had second thoughts on - so that = 2 GCs. :wizard:

I have to go into town today for V's conferences... I want to get there right away when they open, otherwise the lines get really long and it's a huge waste of time. So, pretty much, my whole morning is gone... I hope to get into my sewing room for a little while this afternoon.

Then, tonight we are going out to dinner with our neighbors... We haven't done that in a while. :thumbsup2

I hope everyone has a nice day today! :wizard:

Quick drive by (computer issues)

When we tried to decide if using 2 dining credits was worth it or not, we found that CRT is equal to about 1 and a half credits. If you are going somewhere that is cheaper than the normal one credit then it makes more sense to pay out of pocket.

You can book using the credits and then make your decision at the time of the actual meal...we did.
