happy Alli is going okay at school and things have settled a bit!
hope you don't need to replace the dishwasher!
good luck on the recount!
oh my on the accident, people are so stupid and careless...sad for their families!
love the e-card!!!
Thanks Lisa. I think the dishwasher is OK??? No more weird noises. The water heater - otoh - barely enough hot water for one shower.

"The kids are still alive. Say thank you." Love it!
So glad things seem to be back to normal at Alli's school...hope it stays that way.
Hopefully that accident will wake the other ones up a little. Sad that it takes a death to open someone's eyes, but that's the way it always seems to happen
Personally - I like the "now say I am pretty" part.
I hope it stays that way at Alli's school. It does seem to be much better.
I agree about the accident... I am still struggling with how to feel about it. Like Alli said at dinner last night - no one deserves to die - and that wasn't really what we were saying... We were more saying that he had been warned sooo many times... Even his arrest record is littered with "no seatbelt" citations. It's just sad.
On my way to the PO yesterday, I drove past the accident scene. It almost looks as if they gunned it to jump the driveway embankment? The black tire squeeling marks start waaaaay back - on the opposite side of the road - then they crossed the road, hit the driveway embankment, went airborn, hit a tree, rolled and landed in the back yard of a house - I have no idea how they missed the house? All I know, is the truck they were driving - they have been "hiding" in their garage for a while now... It was one of those with no hood and a huge motor sticking out over the top.
Senseless...
Sad about the accident, but hopefully it will open their eyes a little. Too bad an accident has to happen for it
I hope so too Lillian.
So sad about the accident, clearly they are old enough to know better.
Glad school is back to normal.
I can't believe the election is so close. Kind of exciting. If you would have let Cheryl move in next door she probably would have voted for you.
Can't wait to see your next bag.
Yah - I wish Cheryl would have moved in, she probably would have written in herself though.

I am a bit nervous about the election... If when the recount is over, and we are still tied - the winner is determined by flipping a coin. Seriously and legally. I guess it's fair, and the ultimate way to let God choose.
Your community is definately going through a rough patch here.
Looking forward to the bag & aren't you glad your girls 'get' you so well?
Yes... I really hope it's over though.
LOL - Yes, they do get me, that's for sure. I did something at dinner the other night, and Alli was like... "OMG Mom... I saw this Ecard on FB the other day - it's so you"... LOL And then she posted it on my wall. Turd.
Fabulous bag you have mad. Lovely applique and the colors are great together
Thanks - it really did turn out amazing.
You have a lot going on.. again!!! I pray things calm soon!!!
Umm I LOVE the bag!!!! a lot
Thanks Mo! Glad to see you around - must be a busy week?
Oh, I was hoping the villian was Maleficent! She's my Aunt's absolute favorite Disney character. You aren't shipping that bag to Pennsylvania are you?
And the bag is absolutely gorgeous! Love everything about it!
Not that I am aware of? LOL
Thanks!
Glad to hear things are hopefully back to normal.
Good Luck on the recount!!
That's what I tell my DH everyday when he asked what I did all day. "The kids are alive aren't they?"
That's so sad about the accident. I really hope this is a wake up call for the other's and for them to keep the kids safe!!
Love the new bag. The colors look awesome together!!
Thank you Sandra... I will need lots of luck.
I agree - I also hope it's a wake up call for many of them.
And thanks - I love that bag too!

Welcome Ruthie! LOL about the Pluto bags... Well, one of them is gone - adopted officially by it's new owner.

The other one does not have a home yet...
I will send you a PM with info.
Oh my... While I'm not into villains, your bag is fabulous! Really wonderful. Very well done!
Thanks Di... I love working with them... And the "smokiness" of this bag really fits well with Maleficent.
I commented on your newest bag on FB. It is just awesome and amazing! Like I've said before. you are a fabric artist.
Thanks Diane - but so are you.
My Maleficent!!! Yay! It is Ah-Mazing! I can hardly wait to get it!! Thank you so much!!
Glad you love it! I kind of thought you might though - if not, I would have been happy to keep it for myself.
Thanks for all the updates. Will you want to serve on the council with the other knuckleheads who were elected? Might be a nightmare. Just sayin'.
LOL Hmmm... Probably not. However, if I do win the seat - there is one other Council Member who tends to think along the same lines I do... And the Mayor - most of the time (strong Mayor, with voting power) has the same general beliefs I do. So, I won't be the lone man in the corner all the time.
Glad school is back to normal and Alli is doing well. There always seems to be a teacher who pushes the kids a little harder. It's tough to adjust when you're a freshman. But having a teacher like that right away makes the other teachers seem so much easier. I'm sure she'll make the adjustment.
That's true.... I just hope she adjusts.
It is a shame about the accident. Those men threw their lives away. Thank God there wasn't another car or a pedestrian involved! From the news article it looks like the driver is going to make it. Hope he learned his lesson. That would be so scary to have people like them living nearby. I'm sure I would have stayed around home during the summer also.
I agree. Josh and I were talking about it at dinner last night, and we were just thankful that they didn't take anyone else with them. The way that road is, when they crossed over to hit the driveway, they couldn't see the oncoming traffic on the other side of the crest of the hill - they easily could have hit someone head on.
Even if the driver does live, he won't be back here any time soon. Aside from the DWI he will surely get, I am pretty sure there will be some sort of criminal vehicular manslaughter charge, as well.
Now, about the bag: fabulousness on steroids!! No wonder you love it!
LOL You crack me up Lois! Thank you.

Hmmm... What did I do yesterday?
Well, I finished that bag - you saw. Then, I figured I would take a nap... So, I laid there and kept thinking about what I needed to restock in my sewing room... So, I got up and made a list. Then I tried the nap thing again... And I remembered the load of laundry in the basement... So, I ran down and swapped that out. Nap anyone? Sure, so I laid there again and thought about this new camera bag/strap project I've been drawing up... Grrr... Up I went and back to my sewing room. I ended up making a strap yesterday... It's kind of cute. Not sure if it's a keeper, but a nice prototype just the same. It will probably end up on my Crazy Days auction.
I really want to get started on the camera bag... I have all the sketches drawn up, and rough measurements... I am hoping to get started on a prototype this weekend. Next week, I have another easy sewing room week, so I hope to continue with the prototype, and hopefully have some pictures to show you all. If the prototype ends up being nice, it may get put on the tail end of my Crazy Days auctions, as well.

We'll see... You all know how my brainy ideas have been working out for me, as of late...
V and I have to run to town this morning... I have a few odds n' ends to pick up. Then I have to make it back to the PO before they close to get the Maleficent bag out.
I plan to spend a few hours in my sewing room this afternoon.
I hope you all have an amazing weekend!
D~
