I would chop off leggings in a heart beat. Our Academy carries them for all sizes that's where I got EEs and Lauren's. They are like a sporting goods store.
Yah - I agree - I would cut them off too... Right now, my only issue is that all the leggings out there (that I have seen) are black... V owns no black at all - just navy, to I am trying to find navy... Sigh...
Did it ever occur to you that if you didn't sew so much, post so much, and live so much I wouldn't have such a hard time keeping up?
Later today I'll post my BIG NEWS and my UPPB. Promise!
It looks great. I primary colors. The stitching looks perfect and the wallet is a great complement to it.
Wow. The face on Tiana is beyond perfect. I don't know how you get such detail done so perfectly. The flower is a nice addition.
What a different idea. How cool that Boo can play Hide and Boo Seek. The expression on Randall's face is spot on.
I have on my list of thing to do to try the felt method, but haven't so far. I love all the 3-D accents. Way to go.
Thanks Cheryl... I have no idea how I do it sometimes either? I just put the stuff under my machine foot and away I go. Maybe it's my machines and not me?
I am still undecided about the felt method. I liked appliqueing on it, but unless I need something where I have to cover the back (like Boo) - I probably won't use it.
Mama Melrose is my favorite at DHS. My family loves Italian food so we end up eating there and usually Tutto Italia every trip.
I think I like Mama Melrose so much for sentimental reasons. We celebrated what would have been my Dad's 62 birthday there when we went in 2010 (He passed away in 2007). My mom and I are headed back there in November I think mainly for that reason. From what I remember of our meal in 2010 it was very good and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Awww... That is such a nice story. Great memories for you there.
I talked to V last night, and she definately wants to do 50's again... I offered Sci-fi, and she had no interest in that. I am pretty sure that my girls think 50's is the only restaurant in DHS.

I will talk to Alli when she wakes to see what her opinion is... I have a feeing she will want DHS too.
I have heard the meal at the Grand Floridian with the Step Sisters is the best one for "big kids". The Sisters are a blast and really go far with their characters. I tried to get Dani and I into that meal, but they were all booked up by the time I thought of it. I was surprised to find availability at Chef Mickeys only a few weeks out, but now I know why

Like I said though...I would give it another chance. It may have just been an off night. And I give the character CMs credit....we missed all the characters because we were waiting in line forever for our food, but once we complained about it, they made sure each one came back to us. Except Minnie and they took us to her instead. So they tried to make up for the bad experience
I've been wanting to do that meal at 1900 PF for a long time... Maybe this trip?
I have eaten twice at CM and once was great it was Jan 2010 and just the kids and I. The second time was August 2010 and it was just so so. The characters really couldn't be bothered with us.
Hmmm... That's not good.
I think we are one of the only families that does not like 1900 Park Fare. The food was just so-so; the character interaction was ok, but nothing great, The service was horrible. And the WAIT! We were almost an hour past our ADR time before we were seated. (and yes, we arrived 20 minutes BEFORE our ADR time)
My husband said under no circumstances would he go back again! That is the ONLY restaurant he has ever said this about.
And while I did say the Chef Mickey's was a little iffy last year, I do have to say that in the past it has always been superlative! Especially in 2009, when we were the family of the day and got to open up the restaurant! The pictures of Mickey escorting the girls to their table were priceless!
Nini
Liddy had 2 plain awful experiences at 1900PF - so that is why I am a little hesitant to go there. It wasn't with the characters, it was with the staff in general. She has a big explanation about it in her TR.
We got some of the spandex shorts at Old Navy and we got some at Rugged Wearhouse. Do you have Rugged Wearhouse out here? It is like a Marshalls or a Ross. The spandex are more expensive than I like to spend but I also insist that the girls wear something under their skirts. These days with the skirts being worn so short, they have to have something under them. Chopping off some leggings might be the way to go. Or I'd be you could easily make some with bathing suit lining material. With a Joanns coupon you could probably make at least a few pairs for what you'd pay for a single pair in the store.
We liked 1900 Park Fare. But is has been several years since we've eaten there. The characters were super sweet with my girls when they were little. I have noticed that the older the kids get, the less time the character seem to spend with them at the bigger restaurants.
We do not have a Rugged Wearhouse here. We do have ON though, I didn't think to look there.
Thanks for your opinion on 1900pf.
Love the pics and I love how you are making ADRs before your trip is even booked.... you are a true DISer.
We love CM and 1900 PF but I would be careful about booking that on your first night since they have the cancellation policy. Just in case you run late with your flight I would hate to see you hit with $30 no show fee.
We love 1900PF
You are too much
You are the only person I know that can sew on plastic bags and make it so CHIC
You are right Michelle... I will take that into consideration. At this point - I have no idea which day we are arriving.

However - when we fly - we take the earliest possible flight to MCO, so we are always there by about 11 am... So, I am not too worried about a dinner ADR. I can always rearrage a bit too - and if we don't get CM... I don't think I will be too heartbroken, since we won't know what we are missing.
I guess you better stay indoors on the weekends since your new neighbor will be off her meds then.
Well, we have other neighbors that forget their meds on the weekends - so it won't wreck our routine at all.
Personal use is fine -- I don't sell things anyway. There will be an easy/beginner's version I hope.
If you are like my dd and play cat in your leggings you accrue a large selection of leggings with holes in the knees. I have several sitting in the sewing room waiting to be chopped off. We are lucky though, an old neighbor gave us tons of bike shorts so dd has about 20 pairs to wear under her skirts.
WOWIE! Are you going to create a pattern for that? Can we pick what color pills we'd like if we order from your etsy shop?
Hey you! You've been gone for a few days - glad to see you back! I knew you'd be happy about the pattern... I am just trying to wrap my mind around this... I have ONE piece of paper that I have my sketches on - that's it - all the directions are in my head. I've only managed to write out the instructions for the cutting and quilting and already I am on page 18 - that's with out pictures!

The more I look at it - it is going to be a difficult pattern for someone to learn - and I have a hard time explaining things with out rambling. :rolleyes
I am half tempted to take a picture of my sketch and just publish that.

LOL
Before there was the UPB ---> Ultimate Pill Bag Cheryl was very good at making doll clothes
Who can forget this OOAK
That was, perhaps, the best OOAK ever!
Just got caught up after my trip. Our flight out of LAX last night was delayed because the plane we were waiting on to get to LAX out of Boston had to stop in TX to kick a passenger off. Then when they did land at LAX one of the flight attendants got sick so we had to over an hour for a replacement to show up. Didn't get home til 3:30am. The kids didn't make it on the bus this morning but we did make them go a bit late. Hopefully tomorrow will be easier and we will get completely back on east coast schedule over the weekend. I had planned to be off today. Not looking forward to reality tomorrow.
OMG - what a mess! Sorry for the rough flight. Glad to have you back though!
I wish they would have kicked off the passenger on my flight back from Charlotte... We were on the runway - 2 planes from taking off - and she gets up and decides to go to the bathroom!

So the flight attendants had to call the captain and everyone was frantic! Then during the flight - they put on the seatbelt light again and announced that everyone had to be seated and buckled... What does she do? She gets up to go to the bathroom... The FAs went over the loud speaker and told her to sit down - she didn't try that again.
We had a great trip. Loved San Diego! Really enjoyed DL too. I think a lot of rides are better there. Loved Space Mountain there. We all had a blast doing the 5K but unfortunately the 100+ miles and countless hours standing in lines we did on the trip had my feet really sore. I made the difficult decision not to do the half marathon. I know it was the right thing for me but it was a bit tough seeing all the folks in the parks with their medals. I think the highlight of our trip was seeing a baby elephant on the day it was born at the San Diego Safari Park.
Bummer about not doing the marathon... However- you need to do what is right for you.
I bet that baby elephan was so sweet - my girls would have gone crazy!
Love your Mickey balloon bag. LOVE your Boo bag! I had a chance to meet Boo on my 50th bday trip when they did a special Pixar weekend. I think she is the cutest character I've ever met. Her head bobbled.
I would love to meet Boo someday... My favorite Pixar movie is TS - but MI is right up there and sometmes does over take my favorite.
Would you post where you got your thread? If Mr Rocket likes maybe my Gutermann loving machine will like it too.
I purchased it at LCM in Gastonia, NC...
www.longcreekmills.com It's their PolyX thread... Sooo nice, and only $2.25 for a 1000M spool. I recommend ordering 1, and trying it out... I wouldn't have even bothered buying it if Marianne wouldn't have sent me a spool to try out, because then I knew that Mr. R would use it... Even then, I was a bit hesitant. However - now that I've used it a lot - I think he likes it better than Gutermann. And it's so much prettier because it's shiny.

Honestly, I could go on and on about it all day long - I like it so much!
My only teeny-tiny complaint is that their shipping is really slow... It took 11 days to get here from when I ordered it... However - there was the holiday weekend in there, so that could have been a part of it? Next time, I know, and I will try to allow ample time for shipping.
Think you could send V to organize my fabrics? Or I could send my 13 to your house and V could train her.
Sure! If I would have aked her to do it - she never would have. LOL She just started to do it on her own.
I've eaten at LCdF a few times and really enjoy it but I really LOVE Via Napoli. I've eaten at CM once for dinner and wouldn't likely try it again. I did breakfast once too and liked that better but I like to do a CP early breakfast before the MK opens so I haven't returned to CM. I also like OHana for breakfast.
I have heard great things about Via Napoli - so that one was definately a toss up. Since we are only planning one Epcot day this time, that will move to our must do list for the next trip.
CP before the park opens is on our must-do list every time, it is our favorite meal... At MK we also love LTT - and that is also a must do for us. BoG isn't even on the radar, however we may try the counter service?
We have done Ohana for breakfast and dinner - I am not sure if we will try it again this trip - it was good, definately enjoyed breakfast more.
At DHS I have done Brown Derby and it was fine but not worth 2 credits. If you did want signature dining in the area I would try yachtman's at YC or Flying Fish (my favorite!) at BWI.
I know I had more to comment on but getting too exhausted.
Yah- once I saw that BD was 2 credits, it went off my list.

Maybe if we ever do Deluxe DP?
Love your boo bag!so clever! I think I may need to order some of Cheryl's special bags though.,looks like something I may now need!
Your dining pans look great. Sometimes the atmosphere is as important as the food! We're planning on "chefs" as well, what day are you going? Ruth
Thanks Ruth!!! LOL - love Cheryl's bags - they are going to be a hit for sure! We are planning to do LCdF at 12 pm on March 3rd. Have you joined the FB group for the March 2013 Disers yet? If not, let me know, I will PM you the link on FB.
Well, I managed to finish my last bag applique yesterday.

I am very happy with it. Since I started it several months ago, I started it with Gutermann thread - so I couldn't use my LCM thread - such a bummer because I love that stuff! Oh well - it turned out great, so I am happy. I am really struggling with what to put on the wallet... the customer requested 2 appliques and 1 zipper pull - and I think I am out of options, unless I do a different "view" of something on the bag... So, we'll see. I will talk to Josh.

He'll probably have a good idea for me.
I have to work at Target again today... So, no bag making. I will resume tomorrow.
I secured our ADR for our DHS day this morning... The girls decided that they want 50's - no question. So, I booked it... The food has always been really good for us. We'll just play dumb this time, and pretend we've never been there before.

And, of course, fingers crossed that we don't get Elaine for a server.
Josh was a sweetheart yesterday, and purchased new shelves for my thread in my sewing room - I set them up last night and they look so amazing - I am soooo happy with them. I was so tired of working around all that thread on my counter. I will try to post pictures later today - I did take some last night, but they were pretty dark and shadowed because it was dark outside - so I will try again this morning before work.
I hope everyone has a fantastic day today!
D~
