For a Rainy Day

Last year when I was at WDW the pseudo monsoons came. Need something for those rainy days!

popover008.jpg

Printed on the bottom of the fabric it said "This is not a toy." I'm hoping Disney security doesn't show up at my door, but I cut that line off so I think I'm okay.

And FYI, everything is perfect, nothing is wonky. If it LOOKS wonky it's because within 12 days my part of NY went through an earthquake, tropical storm, and tornado, so it's just the house that's uneven, not my sewing. :lmao:

That's all folks. :upsidedow

Just got caught up after my trip. Our flight out of LAX last night was delayed because the plane we were waiting on to get to LAX out of Boston had to stop in TX to kick a passenger off. Then when they did land at LAX one of the flight attendants got sick so we had to over an hour for a replacement to show up. Didn't get home til 3:30am. The kids didn't make it on the bus this morning but we did make them go a bit late. Hopefully tomorrow will be easier and we will get completely back on east coast schedule over the weekend. I had planned to be off today. Not looking forward to reality tomorrow.

We had a great trip. Loved San Diego! Really enjoyed DL too. I think a lot of rides are better there. Loved Space Mountain there. We all had a blast doing the 5K but unfortunately the 100+ miles and countless hours standing in lines we did on the trip had my feet really sore. I made the difficult decision not to do the half marathon. I know it was the right thing for me but it was a bit tough seeing all the folks in the parks with their medals. I think the highlight of our trip was seeing a baby elephant on the day it was born at the San Diego Safari Park.

Love your Mickey balloon bag. LOVE your Boo bag! I had a chance to meet Boo on my 50th bday trip when they did a special Pixar weekend. I think she is the cutest character I've ever met. Her head bobbled.

Would you post where you got your thread? If Mr Rocket likes maybe my Gutermann loving machine will like it too.

Think you could send V to organize my fabrics? Or I could send my 13 to your house and V could train her.

I've eaten at LCdF a few times and really enjoy it but I really LOVE Via Napoli. I've eaten at CM once for dinner and wouldn't likely try it again. I did breakfast once too and liked that better but I like to do a CP early breakfast before the MK opens so I haven't returned to CM. I also like OHana for breakfast.

At DHS I have done Brown Derby and it was fine but not worth 2 credits. If you did want signature dining in the area I would try yachtman's at YC or Flying Fish (my favorite!) at BWI.

I know I had more to comment on but getting too exhausted.

Cheryl-why is everyone laughing? I think your UPPB is ingenious! I think they might be jealous of your cleverness!

Love your boo bag!so clever! I think I may need to order some of Cheryl's special bags though.,looks like something I may now need!
Your dining pans look great. Sometimes the atmosphere is as important as the food! We're planning on "chefs" as well, what day are you going? Ruth

I would chop off leggings in a heart beat. Our Academy carries them for all sizes that's where I got EEs and Lauren's. They are like a sporting goods store.

Yah - I agree - I would cut them off too... Right now, my only issue is that all the leggings out there (that I have seen) are black... V owns no black at all - just navy, to I am trying to find navy... Sigh...

Did it ever occur to you that if you didn't sew so much, post so much, and live so much I wouldn't have such a hard time keeping up?

Later today I'll post my BIG NEWS and my UPPB. Promise!

It looks great. I primary colors. The stitching looks perfect and the wallet is a great complement to it.

Wow. The face on Tiana is beyond perfect. I don't know how you get such detail done so perfectly. The flower is a nice addition.

What a different idea. How cool that Boo can play Hide and Boo Seek. The expression on Randall's face is spot on.

I have on my list of thing to do to try the felt method, but haven't so far. I love all the 3-D accents. Way to go.

Thanks Cheryl... I have no idea how I do it sometimes either? I just put the stuff under my machine foot and away I go. Maybe it's my machines and not me?

I am still undecided about the felt method. I liked appliqueing on it, but unless I need something where I have to cover the back (like Boo) - I probably won't use it.

Mama Melrose is my favorite at DHS. My family loves Italian food so we end up eating there and usually Tutto Italia every trip.

I think I like Mama Melrose so much for sentimental reasons. We celebrated what would have been my Dad's 62 birthday there when we went in 2010 (He passed away in 2007). My mom and I are headed back there in November I think mainly for that reason. From what I remember of our meal in 2010 it was very good and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Awww... That is such a nice story. Great memories for you there. :lovestruc

I talked to V last night, and she definately wants to do 50's again... I offered Sci-fi, and she had no interest in that. I am pretty sure that my girls think 50's is the only restaurant in DHS. :confused3 I will talk to Alli when she wakes to see what her opinion is... I have a feeing she will want DHS too.

I have heard the meal at the Grand Floridian with the Step Sisters is the best one for "big kids". The Sisters are a blast and really go far with their characters. I tried to get Dani and I into that meal, but they were all booked up by the time I thought of it. I was surprised to find availability at Chef Mickeys only a few weeks out, but now I know why :headache: Like I said though...I would give it another chance. It may have just been an off night. And I give the character CMs credit....we missed all the characters because we were waiting in line forever for our food, but once we complained about it, they made sure each one came back to us. Except Minnie and they took us to her instead. So they tried to make up for the bad experience ::yes::

I've been wanting to do that meal at 1900 PF for a long time... Maybe this trip?

I have eaten twice at CM and once was great it was Jan 2010 and just the kids and I. The second time was August 2010 and it was just so so. The characters really couldn't be bothered with us.

Hmmm... That's not good.

I think we are one of the only families that does not like 1900 Park Fare. The food was just so-so; the character interaction was ok, but nothing great, The service was horrible. And the WAIT! We were almost an hour past our ADR time before we were seated. (and yes, we arrived 20 minutes BEFORE our ADR time)

My husband said under no circumstances would he go back again! That is the ONLY restaurant he has ever said this about.

And while I did say the Chef Mickey's was a little iffy last year, I do have to say that in the past it has always been superlative! Especially in 2009, when we were the family of the day and got to open up the restaurant! The pictures of Mickey escorting the girls to their table were priceless!

Nini

Liddy had 2 plain awful experiences at 1900PF - so that is why I am a little hesitant to go there. It wasn't with the characters, it was with the staff in general. She has a big explanation about it in her TR.

We got some of the spandex shorts at Old Navy and we got some at Rugged Wearhouse. Do you have Rugged Wearhouse out here? It is like a Marshalls or a Ross. The spandex are more expensive than I like to spend but I also insist that the girls wear something under their skirts. These days with the skirts being worn so short, they have to have something under them. Chopping off some leggings might be the way to go. Or I'd be you could easily make some with bathing suit lining material. With a Joanns coupon you could probably make at least a few pairs for what you'd pay for a single pair in the store.

We liked 1900 Park Fare. But is has been several years since we've eaten there. The characters were super sweet with my girls when they were little. I have noticed that the older the kids get, the less time the character seem to spend with them at the bigger restaurants.

We do not have a Rugged Wearhouse here. We do have ON though, I didn't think to look there.

Thanks for your opinion on 1900pf.

Love the pics and I love how you are making ADRs before your trip is even booked.... you are a true DISer.

We love CM and 1900 PF but I would be careful about booking that on your first night since they have the cancellation policy. Just in case you run late with your flight I would hate to see you hit with $30 no show fee.

We love 1900PF

You are too much

You are the only person I know that can sew on plastic bags and make it so CHIC

You are right Michelle... I will take that into consideration. At this point - I have no idea which day we are arriving. :rotfl2: However - when we fly - we take the earliest possible flight to MCO, so we are always there by about 11 am... So, I am not too worried about a dinner ADR. I can always rearrage a bit too - and if we don't get CM... I don't think I will be too heartbroken, since we won't know what we are missing.

I guess you better stay indoors on the weekends since your new neighbor will be off her meds then.

Well, we have other neighbors that forget their meds on the weekends - so it won't wreck our routine at all. :rotfl2:

Personal use is fine -- I don't sell things anyway. There will be an easy/beginner's version I hope.

If you are like my dd and play cat in your leggings you accrue a large selection of leggings with holes in the knees. I have several sitting in the sewing room waiting to be chopped off. We are lucky though, an old neighbor gave us tons of bike shorts so dd has about 20 pairs to wear under her skirts.

WOWIE! Are you going to create a pattern for that? Can we pick what color pills we'd like if we order from your etsy shop?

Hey you! You've been gone for a few days - glad to see you back! I knew you'd be happy about the pattern... I am just trying to wrap my mind around this... I have ONE piece of paper that I have my sketches on - that's it - all the directions are in my head. I've only managed to write out the instructions for the cutting and quilting and already I am on page 18 - that's with out pictures! The more I look at it - it is going to be a difficult pattern for someone to learn - and I have a hard time explaining things with out rambling. :rolleyes

I am half tempted to take a picture of my sketch and just publish that. :confused3 LOL

Who can forget this OOAK

popover006.jpg

That was, perhaps, the best OOAK ever!

OMG - what a mess! Sorry for the rough flight. Glad to have you back though!

I wish they would have kicked off the passenger on my flight back from Charlotte... We were on the runway - 2 planes from taking off - and she gets up and decides to go to the bathroom! :headache: So the flight attendants had to call the captain and everyone was frantic! Then during the flight - they put on the seatbelt light again and announced that everyone had to be seated and buckled... What does she do? She gets up to go to the bathroom... The FAs went over the loud speaker and told her to sit down - she didn't try that again.

We had a great trip. Loved San Diego! Really enjoyed DL too. I think a lot of rides are better there. Loved Space Mountain there. We all had a blast doing the 5K but unfortunately the 100+ miles and countless hours standing in lines we did on the trip had my feet really sore. I think the highlight of our trip was seeing a baby elephant on the day it was born at the San Diego Safari Park.

Bummer about not doing the marathon... However- you need to do what is right for you.

I bet that baby elephan was so sweet - my girls would have gone crazy!

Love your Mickey balloon bag. LOVE your Boo bag! I had a chance to meet Boo on my 50th bday trip when they did a special Pixar weekend. I think she is the cutest character I've ever met. Her head bobbled.
IMG_0093.jpg

I would love to meet Boo someday... My favorite Pixar movie is TS - but MI is right up there and sometmes does over take my favorite. :lovestruc

Would you post where you got your thread? If Mr Rocket likes maybe my Gutermann loving machine will like it too.

I purchased it at LCM in Gastonia, NC... www.longcreekmills.com It's their PolyX thread... Sooo nice, and only $2.25 for a 1000M spool. I recommend ordering 1, and trying it out... I wouldn't have even bothered buying it if Marianne wouldn't have sent me a spool to try out, because then I knew that Mr. R would use it... Even then, I was a bit hesitant. However - now that I've used it a lot - I think he likes it better than Gutermann. And it's so much prettier because it's shiny. :lovestruc Honestly, I could go on and on about it all day long - I like it so much!

My only teeny-tiny complaint is that their shipping is really slow... It took 11 days to get here from when I ordered it... However - there was the holiday weekend in there, so that could have been a part of it? Next time, I know, and I will try to allow ample time for shipping.

Think you could send V to organize my fabrics? Or I could send my 13 to your house and V could train her.

Sure! If I would have aked her to do it - she never would have. LOL She just started to do it on her own.

I have heard great things about Via Napoli - so that one was definately a toss up. Since we are only planning one Epcot day this time, that will move to our must do list for the next trip.

CP before the park opens is on our must-do list every time, it is our favorite meal... At MK we also love LTT - and that is also a must do for us. BoG isn't even on the radar, however we may try the counter service?

We have done Ohana for breakfast and dinner - I am not sure if we will try it again this trip - it was good, definately enjoyed breakfast more.

At DHS I have done Brown Derby and it was fine but not worth 2 credits. If you did want signature dining in the area I would try yachtman's at YC or Flying Fish (my favorite!) at BWI.

I know I had more to comment on but getting too exhausted.

Yah- once I saw that BD was 2 credits, it went off my list. :) Maybe if we ever do Deluxe DP?

Love your boo bag!so clever! I think I may need to order some of Cheryl's special bags though.,looks like something I may now need!
Your dining pans look great. Sometimes the atmosphere is as important as the food! We're planning on "chefs" as well, what day are you going? Ruth

Thanks Ruth!!! LOL - love Cheryl's bags - they are going to be a hit for sure! We are planning to do LCdF at 12 pm on March 3rd. Have you joined the FB group for the March 2013 Disers yet? If not, let me know, I will PM you the link on FB. :)

Well, I managed to finish my last bag applique yesterday. :cool1: I am very happy with it. Since I started it several months ago, I started it with Gutermann thread - so I couldn't use my LCM thread - such a bummer because I love that stuff! Oh well - it turned out great, so I am happy. I am really struggling with what to put on the wallet... the customer requested 2 appliques and 1 zipper pull - and I think I am out of options, unless I do a different "view" of something on the bag... So, we'll see. I will talk to Josh. :thumbsup2 He'll probably have a good idea for me.

I have to work at Target again today... So, no bag making. I will resume tomorrow.

I secured our ADR for our DHS day this morning... The girls decided that they want 50's - no question. So, I booked it... The food has always been really good for us. We'll just play dumb this time, and pretend we've never been there before. :confused3 And, of course, fingers crossed that we don't get Elaine for a server.

Josh was a sweetheart yesterday, and purchased new shelves for my thread in my sewing room - I set them up last night and they look so amazing - I am soooo happy with them. I was so tired of working around all that thread on my counter. I will try to post pictures later today - I did take some last night, but they were pretty dark and shadowed because it was dark outside - so I will try again this morning before work.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day today! :lovestruc

D~

I promise - this is the last place I will post these pictures today - for you poor souls who had to see them in various places on FB. :faint:

I am just super excited to have something on my walls in my sewing room! And Josh was so nice to buy them for me, and put them up!

You'll see some of my favorite treasures from some great friends... And not to worry if you don't see your gift up there- I have lots more and plans for those too. :thumbsup2

love the new shelves! and I see my cards...those are supposed to be used! you can "save" one if you want :rotfl:

Thanks Judy! :)

It was just acting all funky with me yesterday morning - once I shut down the window and came back - it was fine. :confused3

I think she had a great day - it sounded like it anyways. Target was the same-ol' same-ol'.

Thanks Suzi! Grrr, I do hope we have a good CM experience - since we have never been there before - this could either make them or break them for us. I did notice, last spring - the Character meals definately didn't have the same "feel" to them with the girls being older - it was weird. That is why GG is out this time - it just wasn't the same.

Great... Sigh... I am hoping it will be OK.

Thanks Lisa! I hope Megan has a great first day today.

Yes - I have heard about the French Onion soup - and it's one of my must haves. I am also going to have to get 5 or 10 Napoleons to-go while we are in France... I could live off of those.

Delegation is a great thing! :) Alli is actually just starting high school - 9th grade... Yes, she looks so much older than she is. :rolleyes1

Today is V's first day of 8th grade... Alli did her hair and make-up this morning, she looks very cute!

And just for fun - yesterday my thread order finally came from LCM... Love that place - but I seriously could have driven there and back faster... These were the spools I added to my "collection".

296766_4637004171887_1168464810_n.jpg

And then all of them together - I just love all the colors together - they look so pretty. Looking at this picture - I am potentially short on reds and oranges.

262388_4637007691975_1000596071_n.jpg

I was also able to snag my 3rd ADR this morning... Tusker House for breakfast - before the park opens. :cool1: Loved walking through AK with out any crowds.

Tomorrow I need to make an ADR for DHS... I am really struggling with this one - do we try again for 50's after our experience with Elaine? Or do we go somewhere different? If so, where do we go? I would love some input! :)

Well - I must go, I have to drive Victoria in to school today, since we couldn't get her stuff into her locker - I am hoping they will let her to her locker for a few minutes to put her stuff inside before all the kids pack the hallways.

Then I am coming home to hang out in my sewing room all day.

Have a fantastic day everyone!

D~
D, what time was your ADR at 50's last time?

I love your new shelves. Your embroidery thread looks so pretty on them. Your sewing room looks so organized and tidy. I wish mine looked like that. Right now it is bursting at the seams from too much fabric. I need to get busy and sew some stuff to get it out of there!

I have one shelf on my sewing room wall & it currently has a headless, naked doll body. The head's there too, but if you just glance in, all you see is the body propped up against the wall. Yours are much prettier.

I haven't started on MY bag for the world yet, but I have made a bag:
Upcycled from a tshirt.

love the new shelves! and I see my cards...those are supposed to be used! you can "save" one if you want :rotfl:

Thank you - I love them too! I know - I know.... :rolleyes1 I do plan to use them - I promise! But for right now, they are on my shelves. :lovestruc And I definately will save one! :thumbsup2

I always love seeing pictures of thread and the rainbow of colors. I love your sewing space

Thanks! I was debating on organizing them in rainbow order - but then I figured that would be the easiest way to keep them organized. My only issue is that I may need one more shelf... If I decide to fill in with a couple more reds and oranges - I won't have the room.

D, what time was your ADR at 50's last time?

Hmmm... I can't remember exactly... Hold on.... Here it is:

Photobucketday-4revisedcopy.jpg

It was at 11am... And I planned our next one at 11am too... I am a firm believer of getting the first available seating for our meals. Especially at DHS, because we usually have a quick breakfast at the resort to tide us over until "Lunch" - but our lunch is pretty filling, so we don't need much more than a snack later in the day.

I love your new shelves. Your embroidery thread looks so pretty on them. Your sewing room looks so organized and tidy. I wish mine looked like that. Right now it is bursting at the seams from too much fabric. I need to get busy and sew some stuff to get it out of there!

Thanks Diane... My sewing room is not very organized. :rolleyes1 But I am working on it. :) I try really hard to clean up after each bag I do, for sure after each couple of bags. I still have a lot of things I would like to do to organize better... I am hoping to get a new fabric shelf in the next coming weeks - mine is just bursting! The shelf I want is as Ikea, and it's the same shelf that most everyone has - I wish I had the room for the 5 cube x 5 cube one, but I just have enough room for the 4 cube x 4 cube:

expedit-shelving-unit__0092718_PE229441_S4.JPG

Since I don't have the width for a 5x5, but I have the height, I was thinking of (eventually) doing a couple of these on top:

expedit-wall-shelf__0156457_PE315501_S4.JPG

I am not 100% sure about that yet, the more I look at it right now - I am just not sure how that will look? Maybe just a nice plain shelf across the top to put some of my sewing nick-nacks on?

I would also like to find something similar to this to put all of my rolls of heat n' bond - right now they just lay on my counter top and roll all over. LOL

bladet-vase__0098237_PE239269_S4.JPG

Then, of course, my cork boards/memory boards that I would like to make with the left over fabric I used for my curtains and other stuff - so I can display all of my wonderful items:

And, then something similar to this for my ribbon:

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3GSH8GA9C...ABto/Yix-tZAohf0/s1600/Wall+Ribbon+Holder.jpg

Because what I am currently doing is this, and it's not really working for me at all:

http://myhandmadehappiness.blogspot.com/2010/08/last-weeks-projects-ribbon-holder.html

Sorry for such a long ramble about my sewing room organizational plans. :rolleyes1

7946852688_a9a525d5d3_m.jpg

LOL... About the headless naked doll body...

Yay about the bag - but the photo isn't showing up for me. :(

I worked all day yesterday...

I have to run right away this morning to get MM some food - he is out! We were shaking the very last kernels out last night for dinner, because the vet was already closed. I am going to try to coax him into going with me - the last time he was wieghed - I think he was around 40 lbs (can't remember) and currently - I think he is a bit bigger than what Rufus was - and Ruf was 63 lbs when he died.

I really should go grocery shopping, but I need to work on this bag today, if I work diligently, I should be able to finish it today - maybe tomorrow.

I also need to run to JoAnns to get some fabric for my next upcoming bags... And I think I might get some felt - because I really like how my Boo turned out - and I think that felt backed zipper pulls would look so much nicer than what I have been doing, and since this bag has a zipper pull - I would like to get the felt asap. Maybe I will run right away tomorrow morning?

I have been working on my online catalog, so I can begin taking orders again in a couple of weeks. It's taking much longer than I thought it would - but I try so hard to be thorough. I wish I had more time to take more orders. :confused3

I have not touched my pattern in a few days. I am really stumped on what graphics to use? I've started out doing all of my graphics in Photoshop - but if I continue with that - it will honestly take another year to get them all done. :headache: So, then I thought about taking pictures as I go... but sometimes that gets confusing - especially if the fabrics you are using really don't have a lot of contrast. Then I thought about drawing them out... I am just not sure. When you do a pattern, how do you like the instructions to be illustrated? I've looked at many of them... I especially like the look of Carla C's - but I just don't have the time or the resourses to do them like that - so I guess modeling mine after her's won't work. Since I have so many sewing friends here - I would really like some of your input. :lovestruc

Ok - better go wake up the girls.... They are so tired... especially Alli - all of her classes are on opposite floors/opposite ends of the school - so she is zig-zagging all day long, lugging her backpack because she doesn't have time to go to her locker. Poor kid!

Have a fantastic day everyone!

D~

I like those little cubbies. I think I've seen something similar in a craft room but can't remember whose.
I bet it wouldn't matter how many bags you could do you could sell them all! I am so excited about our GAC holders. I've always wanted something for them and these will be the perfect something for them :)
Poor Allie that sounds like a brutal day!

I have seen lots of people post their sewing room pictures and you're right that many of them have the cubes to organize their fabrics. They look like a wonderful way to keep everything organized and easily able to see. Mine is just stacked in a closet in my sewing room. The closet is nice because it has shelves but some of the fabric gets "lost" in the piles and I forget that I have it. I move the fabric to a basket on my bookshelf when I have a project planned and am almost ready to use it. Right now my project basket is overflowing and I need to get busy!

I have seen the ribbon rack before. I looked at it (or something very similar) at Michaels where they have their organizational stuff. I really liked it and thought about buying it but I didn't have a coupon. Of course I couldn't buy it without a coupon!

Hmm, I wonder what you could do with your rolls of Heat and Bond???? It would be nice if they made something like the ribbon rack for those. Of course they wouldn't look so pretty though.

Good luck getting all your errands done. It sounds like you have a lot of running around to do the next couple of days. And I have absolutely no advice about how to make a pattern. That is way out of my comfort zone. :lmao:

My girls just left for school so my house is nice and quiet right now. I hope you don't have any trouble getting your girls up and moving.

My ribbon is similar and it isn't really working either. But I will say I don't think I would like it much better on a shelf besides it looking nicer because I like to take the spool off when cutting and still have to take others off to get to the one I want.

I swear by Ikea shelves. I have several throughout my house. I use the 5 x 5 as a room separator in the basement.

Our reservation at 50's was for 11 too. I wondered if because our lunch time was so early that affected the mood. The restaurant wasn't full, we were the only ones sitting in our section and I wondered if that affected the the mood of the waitress etc.. It shouldntn and I have yet to write my complaint letter, but I will.

I hsve he biggest I,ea expedit inthe craft room for scrap booking supplies. The thing is massive. We see a lot on kijiji around here which is our version of Craigslist. I got my shelves used for $60 and they look brand new. To buy new would have been over $250.

Sorry it's taken so long for me to post my Big News. There's been a little fly in the ointment that has been mucking up the works. Actually the fly is husband size, if you know what I mean.

If you've followed, memorized, and dreamed about all of my posts you know that I have one son living in New York City and one in California. It seems that living half way between them would be ideal. After extensive research, including consulting with Google earth, mapquest, and Siri the exact half way point is

the

house

smackdab

next

to

yours.

:dance3:

My husband's a little tentative about moving, but that's just because he doesn't know you yet.

:3dglasses I just need you to look out your window and see if there's a For Sale sign on it.

Because if there is :moped: I'm on my way.

Isn't that the best news ever??

:banana::banana::banana:

and just for good measure

While I wait for you to check for the sign, I can finally share my UPPB.

Because I like to travel I like things to be convenient, both when I pack and when I'm "on location." I designed, modified, created, redesigned, made a prototype, adjusted, converted, redid (more times than I want to admit to), adapted, customized, refashioned, and tweaked my UPPB.

I'm not in competition with you, of course. Mine doesn't have any hand applique, LCM (LTM? LCD? whatever) thread, quilting, or Disney characters, but it is otherwise perfectamento. If I do say so myself :o

If you want me to do a tute for it I'd be glad to, but it would need to be picture heavy so I want to make sure your photobucket will hold all the necessary photos.

As one who does not like to beat around the bush or otherwise keep people waiting,

I would like your PTR (:wave2: Andrea) to be the site of the unveiling of my UPPB.

Uber Perfect Pill Baggie

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

I bet you're speechless.

Cheryl! You are awesome. Well, you already know that, so I'm not telling you something new. So glad I can pop over to your new place when I go to visit D~ . . .

And - I LOVE your UPB! I might have to make a few of those :-)

Today is V's first day of 8th grade... Alli did her hair and make-up this morning, she looks very cute!

D~

I hope Josh is ready for all the boys that are going to be knocking on your door this year, D! Can Alli come do MY hair & makeup?

Now . . .I need to know your potential trip dates again . . . I'm waiting on an email from MIL but there's a chance we could be there for a couple of days together . . .

France, well, it's a can't miss for us :)

I've had:
Les Tartes des Chefs - Original flatbreads from the brick oven
A la Flame Alsacienne - Alsace specialty. Flatbread baked with creme fraiche, onion and bacon

AND

Plat de Cote de Boeuf au Cabarnet avec pates - Beef short ribs braised in Cabernet with pasta, pearl onions and mushrooms

and a couple of other things, but I can't remember what they were. Both of the above were delicious!

I hate not knowing IF we get to go on this trip we're dreaming about IF we can get a dining plan or not. It sounds like we can from what I've read, but I'm not sure. . . and it would totally affect our eating habits - if we CAN, we'd eat in the parks at least one TS a day probably. . . if we CAN'T, well, we have three ADRs with the Greenawalts and that would probably be our only dining in the parks and we'd eat in the room instead. . .

:thumbsup2

D~

:goodvibes SO pretty :goodvibes

I am all caught up and it seems the girls are still adjusting to school. My kids have been back for a month and I am still trying to get back into a routine. I am sure that high school is a big adjustment for Alli.

Your sewing room looks great. Love the shelves and the colorful thread. I spent the last few days sorting and folding most of my fabrics. Now I just need to sew something! I really have too much fabric and think I need to sell some stuff to justify all my fabric purchases. Maybe Cheryl will license her park bag pattern to me and I can setup a shop on etsy.

The Boo bag is amazing. Can't wait to see your next creation.
