Oh that first shower.....so nice, but so scary all at once. I was lucky...with my c-section scar, it was low enough down that I couldn't see it unless I really struggled. But Josh is right. You definitely need to expose them to air. I didn't and it got infected. Good luck and enjoy that shower!
Yah... It was scary... I didn't work up the nerve until right before bed. Josh had to take all of my bandages off - they were so itchy that i couldn't keep them on a minute longer.

Well, shoot, we'll miss you by three days! I think the 19th is the day my oldest starts school. We thought for once we'd try out a trip that didn't pull him out of school. Darn FL (versus NC where we moved from) school starting so early!![]()
That's a bummer. That is kind of what I am up against too.
If, by some chance, we can't pay off this trip on time, we will have to reschedule for the following year... Not sure I can wait that long?
Oh! A shower will feel so good!!! And you'll be surprized how little those incisions are!! have a great day Ruth
It did feel nice... And I agree - those incisions were very small.
I'm kind of in morning over the Duffy bag!I may just have to place an order for something that's all mine when you open up for orders. I don't handle disappointment well!
Edit: I have an idea for a bag, but I don't want anyone else to love it as much as I do! I can't handle disappointment twice!![]()
Sorry about the Duffy bag... But I am glad you have an idea for your own bag when the time comes.
I'm thinking this same thing...the Mickey/Duffy bag was great, but I'm thinking more along the lines of a Cruella diVille - with dalmation fabric on the inside.
LOL That is a fantastic idea... I would love to do a Villians release late this summer.

Glad your auctions went well. Charlie and I talked last night and decided to extend our trip one more day so we will be there for 10 days this time. I'm almost more anxious for the Disney trip than I am for the Hawaii trip.
Glad you are feeling somewhat better.
Thanks! That will be an amazing trip for both of you! Congrats!

Well, I finished quilting my own personal bag for our trip yesterday. My only issue is that I had purchased these fabrics for this bag several months ago, then recently, somone did a dress for the Launch using most of the same fabrics and theme... She even used the applique I was planning to use. I've been all over the internet trying to find something else - but this theme is not that popular, so there isn't much out there to be had, and I am afraid if I do this bag - everyone will think that I am totally casing.
And, for the record, the person who made the dress really wants me to make the bag, so she knows all of this. I just feel badly. So, I am still searching for a different applique I would like to do - but I am just afraid I will have to resort to using the same one, because there is nothing else out there.
With that set aside - I love this bag and how it is coming out - the fabrics are perfect. It's a UPB, but I made it 2" wider... So, I am kind of anxious to see how those dimensions come together... I loved my AK bag from last year - so I have no doubt that this will be perfect for me too.
My auctions ended yesterday, and I must say that I am very pleased at the outcome. To date - I think that the Duffy bag is the highest price that one of my bags has gone for. I was also very happy that the DSLR strap and Zip-wallet went... I was quite nervous about the price I had put on that. Usually, when I price something for an auction - the opening bid price is the price listed in my catalog - so that is how I figured the price for that strap set. I am just happy it sold.

Alli and I watched Downton Abbey Season 2 episodes 7 & 8 yesterday afternoon... All we have left to watch is the Christmas special from Season 2, then it's on to season 3. When V came home from babysitting, she wanted to watch too - so I watched with her. We just love this show!
As I said above, Josh took off my bandages right before I went to be last night - they were soooo itchy! I have 3 tiny incisions right below my rib cage on the right side - and those are fine. I am quite annoyed though... They made another incision lower (which I knew they were going to do) - but they went in right THROUGH my belly button!!! I am a little ticked about that. I can see, by going in there, that any scar wouldn't be noticed - but wow... My poor belly button.
Out of all the incisions - that one hurts and bothers me the most.Today will be another lazy day... I may work on my own personal park bag today, or I may do nothing.
I also plan to look at coupons and the store ads for this week, since this Friday is a grocery shopping day for me. Sadly, because of our oven not working - we didn't make a lot of the items I had on our menu this time around - so hopefully I won't have a huge list to go on.I hope you all have an amazing day today!

D~

Love the trip pages you started I still have not booked trying hard to wait for Fall dscounts to be offered and not jump the gun like I usually do.
and would never NEED to case anything. And the fact that you have the blessing of the person who made the dress, I would say GO FOR IT!

I agree - I wish some good fall discounts would come out!
