What are all the safe attractions that disable people can enjoy in the park? Some rides such as Splash Mountain or Space mountain might be too much for an autistic child.

I think it would depend on the disability.

This is much too general a question to answer. It would depend on what the disability was and how severely it affected the person.

I am disabled, in that I needed a wheelchair most of the time. But the only attraction I can't do is the treehouse, because of the stairs. Others who can't transfer from a chair unassisted have a longer list of rides they can't do.

Autism is a spectrum. Some can ride everything, some can only do some of them.

that would depend on the type of disability and the individual person.

for example i'm visually impaired and i can safely ride EVERY ride!

as for an autistic child not being able to handle splash mountain or space mountain that would depend on what overwhelms the child if anything.

I agree. This is much too general of a question. My DD is on the high-functioning end of the spectrum. She can do most rides and shows now. When she was 3, it was much more limited as to what she could tolerate. But she's learned and adjusted over the years and is much more comfortable riding just about every ride and watching every show.

Totally depends. My son is autistic and hates Splash Mountain but loves Space. Every person is different and what is too much for one is loved by another.

My son who is autistic is terrified of Peter Pan. Our very first trip to Disneyland, his very first ride... and he cried the whole time. It was awful. :(

Same kid loves Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, etc.

A good thing to do if you're looking at going for the first time is to get the POV videos from YouTube and watch them ahead of time. Now those are some of my kid's favourite videos to watch, and we did it ahead of time before our visit so if nothing else the rides look familiar.

my son who has aspergers his favorite ride is space mountain.

he loves anything super fast.. so all the fast roller coasters are a hit, but he freaked out on, its a small world.

if you are unsure have the person watch you tube videos of the ride to have an idea before you go.
