I do miss the Great Movie Ride but really, even with all the construction, they haven't removed many rides/attractions from HS. Not if you really think about it

Lights motors action, backlot tour, and now GMR are all that is gone.

You could throw in Cars & Monster Inc meet and greet, streets of America, and honey I shrunk the kids playground if you want. But yea not much has changed or closed

I don't know that i'd count jedi training as an attraction. Unless you could limited space things that most people can't do an attraction.

Agree about backlot tour being gone, streets of america was nice to walk through and my kids loved the playground., too much stuff being taken away. However we don't really do the shows, but even without the shows, there are still 4 or 5 attractions if you count the muppet movie.

Yep, still plenty to do there. Sad to see GMR go, but it really was badly outdated anyway. Looking forward to seeing how HS transforms itself over the coming years. I'm very impressed with how AK has changed over the past few years, especially in the evening hours. They've really made the place come alive. Hope they can work the same magic at HS.

We have 2 full days planned for HS. The only repeats we have are Star Tours and Frozen sing along (kids still obsessed with Frozen).

And, we do not have time to see all the characters available. We may luck into a first order march. Star wars stage show will probably be missed, due to lack of time. Hoping to find a way to squeeze that in.

Due to show times, and some of them only a few times per day, and of course FP+, I scheduled both days out completely.

GMR needed an update of some kind, but I still think they could have kept it online until Toy Story Land opens next summer. Still, there's not that much gone at HS, and they have added some things like Music of Pixar and Disney Movie Magic. If someone only care about rides though, HS is probably not the park for them.

As you can see from PP's you are missing A LOT of attractions.
They don't appeal to everyone but I certainly find plenty to do that takes up half a day when I'm rushing it and could easily take up 3/4 of a day if I didn't rush through.
I try to go on an AM EMH day.
I do...
-RNRC 2x
-TOT 2x
-TSMM with a FP+
-VOTLM
-Muppet Vision 3D
-BATB
-TOT with a FP+]
-Frozen Sing Along with a FP+
-Eat at Sci-fi

I also do GMR but of course that is closing so... I will ;probably check out the new attraction put there.

Where in HS would this be? Planning a November trip and my daughter will freak if she were to meet Olaf :)
On the other side of the Star Wars movie clips, which are in the same building as the Frozen Sing A Long, sort of at the other end of it, towards Star Tours

With the closing and impending construction within the Chinese Theatre, I wonder what the chances are that the Star Wars A Galactic Spectacular will be affected? I hope not at all and still see it on the WDW calendar after the ride closes. Fingers crossed that nothing changes.

The Theater itself is not closing or going under construction. Work is being done inside. Outside is not changing

Well that's a relief! Thank you!

I am glad to hear that too. They didn't really say anything about it, and while I was sure the facade wasn't changing, you never know if the internal construction could affect staging for pyro or anything else. I mean, you wouldn't think so, but one never knows, so it's good to hear the outside shows will continue.
