Attn: Jmee and other recent posters: I've noticed shirt pictures in several threads

where it appears the designs were cut out before ironing on to the shirt. Such as these that Jmee made (BTW, they look great!) ETA: how hard was it to cut them out and keep it leveled/center? Any tips?

They look great don't they? I did that with one shirt that I made, but I was really nervous doing that since I didn't think I could get them centered the right way...

I figured out if you run them on white transfer paper, you get this great effect I did it on the last one I made. turned out great.

Didn't mean to ignore you, just haven't had much time for the boards since we got back from our trip!

Thanks for the compliments! This was not that hard to do - I used dark transfer paper, and just trimmed around the letters with the backing still on. I would not do it with small letters - these were large and easy to trim around. Then I just peeled and placed until I liked the layout. Cover with your top sheet (hopefully fits under just one!) and iron very carefully for the first few seconds. I placed the iron down for a few seconds, lifted it and placed it elsewhere until they were no longer "wiggly", then ironed normally. Really not too tough, and they turned out to be some of the best (and most complimented) shirts on our trip.
