Be careful booking on line for Florida resident discounts, (which by the way aren't that great any longer) as even though it says in black and white (well really white and bright blue background!) that in order to get a full refund you have to cancel within 6 days it's now 46 days! I got my confirmation email and it showed 46 so I called. AFter 45 minutes on the phone with customer service I had to have them walk through the reservation system like they were booking and sure enough they were able to read exactly what I was telling me. Prior to that they were treating me like I was trying to pull some kind of scam on them! They put an alert on my reservation that I was allowed to cancel within that 6 day span due to the fact that there is a problem on the site. It's 46 days if you book online and 5 if you book by phone for the moment. I was also told to get used to it, it's going to 46 days via phone & computer in order to obtain the Florida resident discount in the future.
Great one more thing that they've changed and not for the better. :sad1:

I made mine on the phone and it says 5 days prior!! WOW I cant believe they give you 45 days online!! I HATE the new passholder thing the fact I can not get a passholder rate on the phone anymore STINKS!!!

I booked online for a Labor Day trip this year. I canceled 7 days out with no problem.

I know the CM said sometimes stuff online goes through as a "package" but the regular cancellation dates still applied

Thanks for the warning! I'm sorry that you had to deal with all of that. At least they put a flag on your reservation in case you do need to cancel. I wonder why they're messing with something that has worked so well.

Discounts are Gone !!

As a FL Resident AP holder we usually go in Nov and Dec.....stay at the Pop Century at $49/night. No More !! Could not find anything for 11/13-15 for less than $84...what an increase. Will most likely stay in LBV near the DT Disney entrance. Found a Hampton with micro and fridge...serving full buffet b/fast for $61.

Too bad, WDW is not FL friendly any more.

Parts of Oct & Nov have had that increase last year as well (& I want to say the year before too). Reason for that is it is no longer value season. Value season now starts after Thanksgiving & runs up until around the 22nd (I think). Resident rates are also now higher than the BRP rates by about $5 for the value resorts. They are no longer the same discount.

When you book your FL rate on line, there is the 46 day cancelation policy. If you call, it is still the old one ... 5 days (some say 6 counting the day you would arrive as a day). I am not crazy about that policy.... not 46 days.... for a room only deal, but that is what they are doing. I am sure they will end up changing the call in policy as well, or even make us book online as the AP holders have to.
