Hey, I've seen everyone's thrill about dole whips and how you can only get them at WDW. Well...I have good news for some of you---our state fair sells them!

Not the floats, but they had the ice cream. Now I've not been to WDW so I can't say for sure that it is identical to the ones sold in MK, but I bet it is. It was pineapple flavored soft serve. Some of the food stands said "Pineapple Whip" one said "Dole Whip" etc.
There were orange and strawberry varieties too.

So if you need a dole whip fix and won't be in the World anytime soon, try your local fair!

Some of our malls around here sell it too, and I certainly don't live in a tropical location. I wish they would bring back the citrus swirl in MK though, I enjoy that sooo much more than the Dole Whip...I know, I know...blasphemy to some dole whip lovers! hahah

I'm able to make my own Dole Whips at home with my soft ice cream maker. It tastes pretty damn close to the DW version too.

If you go to Hawaii you can get dole whip in practically every imaginable flavor!

The town that I grew up has 2 ice cream stands that sell Dole whips. My parents go to one of them at least once a week for one. They love them.

I just saw Dole Whips at Jumpin' Jacks Drive-In in Scotia, NY.

I was with my mom and she said "Dole Whips...isn't that stuff everyone goes crazy over at Disney World?"

I was shocked! I mean, I personally just think they're OK, but all this time everyone said there's only 2 locations on Earth you can get them.

Today's flavor was Raspberry, which was quite good!

I had what was called a Dole Whip at our state fair last year. It did not taste at all like the DW Dole Whips. It was very disappointing.

A couple of years ago we were at our State Fair (not local, but about 3 hrs from our house) and they had a pineapple ice cream. Now I have a passion for pineapple so I just had to try it. And to my wonderful surprise it tasted just like the Dole Whips. I was so excited because we go to the State Fair every year, so I was able to get my Dole Whip fix each time we went. Well the next year that we went, they no longer had that vender .
