We have a family vacation planned for 12/3/05 - 12/10/05 and will be booking one for the following year, 12/2/06 - 12/9/06. :Pinkbounc

We would love to purchase an AP (and the DDE - wow, what a great deal!) to be used for both of those trips.

Is this impossible? I know that you guys are the ones to ask - you know everything! :-)

If there is no way possible, what are your opinions if it is worth it to buy the AP/DDE for each trip? We plan on staying 7 nights at the CR (Tower Room) and like to have the flexibility of park-hopping and going to Typhoon Lagoon, DisneyQuest, etc. We booked 3 rooms (going with the in-laws) for this December and the CM quoted me over 12K for the week (I was about to pass out)! I know room discounts should be coming out but that sounds unbelievably expensive compared to the trips we've taken over the last couple of years.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Dont think those dates are going to work unless you renew the AP.

If you are going more then eight days in a 12 month period, then yes the AP pass is worth it. Plus you get great room discounts with the AP.

If not then I would get a hopper pass with more days then needed on the first trip with open ended uses. Remember too that WDW increases prices at least once a year. So buying your passes early will save you money in the long run.

Can you change one set of dates? We went 12/4 to 12/10 last year, bought AP's and plan to go this year 11/26 to 12/2, before they expire.

If you can change the dates, you may want to consider a Premium AP, which includes the water parks, disney quest, PI. If not, you may want to consider the Magic Your Way 10 day pass with no expiration (spending some days at the water parks instead of theme parks).

If possible I would change the first set of dates for a week later. You could then use the AP for both trips.

T&B

My AP runs out Feb 7th; I've gotten 5 trips out of it this year--but you have to use it within the 365 day period. If you can change your dates, your second trip will be a whole lot cheaper! Think of it this way: you'd only be paying for admission to parks once for any and all future trips as long they take place within one calendar year. Watch for value season at deluxe and moderate resorts. Watch for the codes for AP users. You may find you'll be able to squeeze in a summer trip also!
