Hey everyone! So, our reception ends at 5pm and we have a DP scheduled for Epcot. Now, as of right now, we're not planning on hiring DPS for photos, that might change, but since nothing is set in stone Im wondering if I should change out of the dress into something more comfy???

Even though family might take pictures of us, they prob wont come out THAT great being that it will be night and all, so what do you think? For those brides who didnt hire DPS for the DP, did you stay in your dress? Wish you had or hadnt? And for those brides who did hire DPS, was it worth it?

Pix would be appreciated from family vs DPS. Thanks! :)

We didn't hire DPS because we got married back when they allowed you to bring your own photographer into Epcot, but I was dead set on getting pix in front of the fireworks in my gown, so we stayed gussied up for the pictures. I was excited because it was the only time I'd ever be able to wear a wedding dress inside Epcot, and for some reason this was important to me. All of our guests changed, though, so we may have looked a little overdressed.

If you are more comfortable changing, though, I say go for it—your guests probably will too!

I don't have the pictures back from DPS so I can't give a review. I loved my dress and wanted to get as much use out of it as possible. My dress was pretty comfortable too. I did take it off after for the afternoon and showered so that helped.

We are leaving our reception and making a quick trip in two mini-vans back to the resort for those who want to change, then going back in the mini-vans to Epcot an hour later. The guys in their suits will need/want to change. DF is wearing a kilt and will change out of his wool jacket and put on a Ghillie shirt. I am going to stay in my dress, I want to wear it as long as possible. I bought a dress with this in mind.

We have DPS booked to take photographs.

I am planning in staying in my dress for our DP party! We are not planning on DPS as I want to watch the fireworks, which from what I have heard you don't get to do when getting your pictures done!

I'm not an attention seeker by any means but I am quite excited about the attention from other guests in the park when we get there! Its our one chance to feel like a celebrity!

And you never know your guests might get an amazing picture!

i stayed in my dress for the DP and didn't have a photographer. Even at night the family got a couple good shot. I kind of wish I would have changed becasue it was record cold that night in FL it got down to 30 degrees and I was freezing I went into a shop and bought a hoody to wear.

I stayed in my dress and paid DPS for pictures. I felt it was worth the money for the pictures because the guests pictures were indeed bad. It's really hard to get good night pictures on a point and shoot. So unless someone in your family has a really nice DSLR and knows how to use it...I would just shell out the $350. It's worth it. Even if you only get a couple good ones. Not every picture I got was great...but looking back I would have really regretted not getting pictures.

I would also stay in your dress. Like others have said, you paid for it, use it!! :rotfl: At least that's the way I felt.
